Blood Sucking Freaks Redux. Fin.

Post by Ralph-Wiggum »

I've been away for a week and I get back to find no werewolf games going on (at least not on the front page). And since I've recently quit my job (pirate resignation letter ftw), I've got loads of time (at least for a month or so). And so, I'd like to start a variation of the last vampire game I ran, with some ideas borrowed (i.e. stolen) from tru1cy's game.

So here's the list of roles. Ideally, there will be 20 players:

3 Vampires
1 Vampire Master - can convert a player at night in lieu of a kill one time. The converted will become the Beserker vampire.
1 Beserker Vampire - if lynched, kills a random villager
1 Transforming Vampire - has the ability to turn into a bat, which lets him spy on one villager a night and find out their role. If he is the last remaining vampire, however, he must choose whether to spy on a villager or whether to kill a villager on a given night.

1 Seer - Can look into the role of one player a night. If he discovers a vampire, will be told the exact role of that vampire. Any villager, whether special or not, is just revealed as a villager. If the seer prefers, he can choose to PM another player at night rather than scan a player. The two will then be allowed to PM throughout the rest of the night.

1 Vampire Hunter - If he reveals himself during the day, he has the ability to shoot and kill any one player in the game. This shot does not take the place of that day's lynching. If he shoots the beserker vampire, the beserker does not kill a villager. Once he has used his shot, he becomes an unpowered villager.

1 Garlic Dispenser - Can protect the house of any player during the night. If that player is attacked by the vampires, the player will live and the vampires will not get a kill. Can not protect the same player twice in a row. Can protect himself. If he blocks a conversion attempt, the head vampire will retain his ability to convert (though there is no kill/conversion that night).

1 Medium - Each night, the medium can look into the role of any dead player. He will be told the exact role of that player, whether vampire or villager.

2 Twins - Two brothers that are closely bonded but live separetly. They are like normal villagers in all respects except one - they can PM each other at any time, day or night.

5 Villagers - These guys are the boring ones.

PMing rules:
There will be no PMing other players with the following exeptions: A seer can PM at night another player instead of a scan. The twins can PM each other at all times. The vampires, due to connected bloodlines which grants telepathy, can PM each other at all times.

No editing posts.

Ok, that's it. If there are any modifications, I will post them here. 20 players needed. As always, roles will be assigned randomly.

Current Players:

1). PR_GMR
2). Tru1cy
3). Austin
4). Kraegor
5). Lassr
6). Newcastle
7). Triggercut
8). FTWalker
9). Genghis
10). Remus West
11). Chaosraven
12). Bakhtosh
13). pr0ner

No job for me in the near future; I'm going back to school in August. 8-)

I quit early because there were things I needed to do before moving out that would've kept me away from work for too much time.

I just got back so, IN.

Question regarding order though. Do the Vampires get the results of their spying before or after they choose their target?

What information will be revealed by Lynching?
"Where are you off to?"
"I don't know," Snufkin replied.
The door shut again and Snufkin entered his forest, with a hundred miles of silence ahead of him.

The vampires will be told the result of their scanning after they've picked a victim. Think of it this way - the transformer vampire visits a villager's house while the other vampires go for the kill. The transformer vampire only learns the identity of the villager after watching all night. The night order will go like this:

Garlic Dispenser protects
Vampire Kills
Seer/Vampire/Medium get results of scan.

Chaosraven wrote:What information will be revealed by Lynching?
Just whether the player was a villager or a vampire. Nothing more (otherwise, there would be no reason for the medium).

Hey, now...
Yours was the most recent, and Ralph's the Boss of the game. If I annoy him, I might end up as one of the bad guys (again), just out of spite.

Hmmm.... Ok, tell you what. If we get 3 or 4 more players, then we can just run the game starting with the head vampire and the transforming vampire. The converted player will then become the bezerker vampire.

Masons? Nobody said anything about there being Masons

Ok, if we don't get any more players, I'll start the game tomorrow afternoon sometime. I might make a slight change, though, since with only 13 players the villagers might be at a disadvantage against three vamps. Perhaps the hunter's shot won't take the place of a lynching that day.
