[WW] Fallen 3 - Game Over - Please Insert Quarter
13 Players
The Three Fallen
1 First among the Fallen – chooses 2 Dark Warriors at start of Game
-1 Dark Warrior Martyr: if lynched will take out a Random Celestial Player other than Light Archon
-1 Dark Warrior Assassin: if lynched will take out the Light Archon, if still alive.
The Fallen are allowed to communicate with each other at all times away from the game.
10 Celestial Players
Light Archon – cannot be killed by the Fallen at Night (self protected)
The Seeker – allowed a Yes or No question regarding the Role of a single player (living or dead) each night
8 Celestial Drones – each Day a Random Drone from those still alive will be given the opportunity to ask by PM a Yes or No Question regarding the Role of a single player (living or dead)
Celestial Players are not allowed out-of-thread communication
Yes or No Question
The question must be in the format “Is X = Y” Where X is a player and Y is a specific role. For game purposes it is permissible to use Fallen or specific Role, Celestial or specific Role. For example, asking if LordMortis is Fallen when he is the Dark Warrior Martyr will result in a yes, whereas asking if he is the First among the Fallen will result in a No. Asking “is X Y –Z” where exceptions or exclusions are included in the question (is Lordmortis one of the Celestials other than a Drone?) is not accepted.
Order of Play
Night
The Fallen must choose a victim from the Celestial Players
The Seeker must ask a Yes or No question
The Seeker will receive his answer when the Victim results have been posted
Day
The Random Drone will be notified of Question opportunity
The Random Drone must submit his Question before Majority of Voting is achieved, or the opportunity is lost. The answer will be sent with the Lynching WriteUp.
Majority of Voting is more than half in the case of an odd number of players, by half in the case of an even number of players. Once Majority is reached votes may not be retracted.
Death will reveal only Fallen or Celestial regardless of cause.
Note: the Ruleset has been revamped in the hopes of raising interest

The First Among the Fallen will be given a PM, to choose his two Warriors.
Then the Celestial Roles will be given out.
All Players will receive a PM about their Role.
To avoid Metagame Madness (such as devious little miscreants trying to use their Drone Role PM as "proof") all Drones will be sent the following PM:

I think it was my secondary hard drive crashing, didn't think it could prevent the computer from booting but apparently so. Off to the General Computing forum.

The Light grew pale across the endless Azure, fading from the Hosts perception.
(we have succeeded! the darkness comes!)
The Celestials wondered what portents the gathering Darkness would deliver.
(let them wonder... and then let them Fear. Fear the First and his Fallen)
With the Light diminished the Silver City grew cold, and the Host took shelter in their aerie
(we shall stride forth among them and eradicate them... consume and devour them one by one)
It Is NIGHT ONE.
Fallen choose a Victim
Seeker choose a Question

Game on...feels good to not have a role this time. No pressure, although I'd like to avoid Bakhtocide if possible.

All the usual suspects are here. I don't see any noobs. Should be fun.
I can't even threaten to lynch Chaosraven this time...still want to see that happen. No one has spoken yet, so I can't even poke the quiets.
Good luck Celestials. Let's run the table. The "village" needs a win.

Should we discuss the pros and cons of the light archon coming forward immediately? The two things that can hurt the archon is lynching and the slaying of the assassin. If more than one comes forward as the archon this would give a pretty good target for the seeker. Just test one and you know the status of the other. On the other hand it would be nice for the fallen to waste a night trying to kill the archon.
I would also like to discuss the "I am an unpowered innocent so you can lynch me" thing. Of course the person could be lying so that is not written in stone. However the one game in which I was a bad guy I loved it when people came out and said those things during a lynch run. If they survived it that could be one less person you need to worry about killing overnight.
Killing the seeker is what they will put all of their efforts into. The worst thing we can do is start a lynch run on the seeker. The fallen would love a couple of lynch runs a turn where people can either admit to being a special or not a special.
With that in mind do you guys think we should throw out one drone on day one to get the game started? I would like a discussion on the tactics of this more so than I would like for volunteers due to the before mentioned reasons. Of course normal discussion and lynch runs carries it's own benefits as well so there is much to consider.

And so the question right off the bat becomes - if you're the chosen fallen, whom would you select to be your allies?
I'll start by making a list of players I don't think would be picked (though, of course, that doesn't disqualify them from being the original fallen), and why:
tru1cy - usually dies early.
Newcastle - in past games as bad guy, he usually doesn't last long (no offense)
Well, actually, that's about it. We don't have any fresh faces this time around, so there are no obvious choices for players who probably wouldn't be picked.
The list of who would get picked is harder. I'll have to think about that some more.

I cannot think of any reason to not have the Archon step forward. He'll be invincible except for a lynch on the Assassin. I mean don't do it tonight as we want the Fallen to have a chance to miss, but really I don't think the chance of the Fallen hitting him is worth it compared to having a trusted innocent out. And imagine if the Archon was afk for a while and got lynched; that would suck.

As for the random drone daytime seeing ability, does that person reveal each day what he finds out? I assume from the reading that the seeker will never get this ability during the day. If that's trues then as I said it starts limiting the field for the fallen to find the seeker.
I would think that maybe if a drone finds a fallen then they should definitely come out but what if they find an innocent, just keep quiet and maybe defend them if they are getting lynched?
The light archon coming out eliminates one from the field of the fallen but also eliminates one from the field of possible seekers.
thoughts? My mind is open for suggestions except from Ausitn!

I know I wouldn't have picked Austin if I was a bad guy this time. If one of us turns up dark in this game, the other is probably dead meat. I'd avoid Silky too.
I'd probably take Lassr and maybe tru1cy (because of the reason given before for why he probably wouldn't be picked).

You have quite the point Lassr. I would imagine its pretty situational. But if I scanned a fallen then I would immediately out him. If I scanned a drone I would just not vote for that person to be lynched.
Perhaps who the random drone should scan could be a target of some discussion. It could be that drones are just scanning the same person over and over again. Perhaps the village (don't know if thats the right word in this game) could suggest someone living or dead to scan. This could help seeker in limiting his choices as well.
ie. drone scan on Silky this turn... If no one outs Silky he should be considered a relatively trusted villager.
This might be a death sentence as well. Maybe the fallen would simple choose to slay whoever is to be drone scanned. If they don't a known innocent is added to the list without the need to reveal role.

Anyway, your point is well taken about the Archon coming out reducing possible Dark kills and ups the chance of hitting the seeker. In my opinion it comes down to whether you value an outed invincible ally or favor having the chance of messing up the Fallens. (and expanding their kill pool by one)
If not the first day, I think it might be helpful to have the Archon out at least by day two. Especially if he has seen many votes at all. It would give us an innocent who's trusted to read votes off of and protects us from killing the archon before he can come out - which now that I think more about it is pretty unlikely. Still though, time and time again we've seen having a trusted, outed innocent as uber valuable; unless it's Remus...

As the Light returned there were mutters from the Host... there were noises in the night... something or someone... infernal noises... Dark Noises...
...everyone was still accounted for.
The archives spoke of Gathering Darkness being testimony to the hearts of the Host... there was discord here... some held treachery in their hearts. It would need to be stopped. A Judgement was called for.
It Is Day.
Voting Open.
13 Players remain, Majority is 7.
Random Drone notified, Question must be sent prior to Majority achieved.
