OK, I need help on this. I'm on my desktop, I right click to bring up the list with starting with "Arrange Icons By..." and farther down the list is "New..."
When I select "New..." I get a bunch of options for new files, but I want to add one I don't have, new Wordpad file. I think it was there once, but it's gone now
How do I add any new items to the "New..." list? There's got to be a way
Microsoft's PowerToys are your friends...more specifically, you need to get TweakUI from that site. once you've installed TweakUI, start it up and go to the "Templates" options and you can create anything you like for that menu...as well as get rid of things you don't need. you should also check out all the other things TweakUI can do for WinXP...lots of really great stuff 8)
several of the other PowerToys are pretty good as well...you should check out the rest and see if anything sounds interesting or useful.
Thanks guys, turns out that the TweakUI is good, but I needed the info from the other link to find out about putting a template in SHELLNEW. It works great now
