I didn't see that as a villager risking 'lynching' - generally, I think the flirting with the priest conversation was LordMortis' way of distancing himself from his wolven knowledge of the priests actual fate.
And, to be fair - I am only half sure that it's LordMortis... st_dysan really hasn't said anything that frees him of my suspicion.

Well, the vote (from my perspective) hinges on you because Austin and I both plan to lynch LordMortis and st_dysan over the coarse of these two days, should we miss with the first lynching.
It would seem somewhat disingenuous to ask st_dysan to help lynch LordMortis.

As far as I know commoners don't normally get roles. This is what helped me identify him. He kept talking about fixing roofs and I had a V8 moment, slapped myself on the head and was able to recognize the fact he had received a role as a villager. We're being cagey as I'd rather not have wolves all of a sudden saying, "I'm a farmer!" or "I'm the animal husbandry guy!"

Okay maybe I'm talking too fast for you. I'll slow down. Normally when assigned a role as a villager it's 'you are a villager'. This time it was, "you are the town's butcher, your power is slicing meat etc..." I noticed Unagi talking about fixing roofs and it dawned on me that other villagers also would have likely received creative roles too. I pegged him as a roofer or something and he confirmed he was a thatcher. I would have assumed general role play had I not received a role also. If I wasn't putting on blinders and focusing on facts I'd peg you as a wolf for your inability to get this. However I still think our final wolf is Mortis or Dysan.

Because st_dysan wasn't picking up the hints or acknowledging them at least. Had he or Mortis come out and understand what I, then we (Unagi and I) were driving at I'd have voted for the other. When Mortis came out and claimed that villagers all received the same message and I was taking something from that, he shot himself in the foot. This was more meta than I was going to go but there you have it, the villagers received different messages from each other.

And I am saying the reason we have been looking at you is that dysan has stepped in and out a couple times, has missed it, has ignored it or, ... something, but he has not confirmed anything. Mortis has anti-confirmed it and you being an uncontested mason are deemed trust-worthy. In your eyes you might not see yourself as the lynch pin, but unless dysan snaps out of it, you are it.

OK, gonna lay all the cards on the table here.
As Austin said above - we haven't wanted to spell this out so clearly, because it would be easy very easy for a wolf to fake if it was announced to be our 'Tell'...

The message I got at the start of this game was, and I quote:
"You are the local thatcher. Your ability is to repair the roof.
REGULAR NORMAL VILLAGER"

Being my first game here I had no idea if I was being told I was 'the local thatcher', as a 'consolation prize' - since I had no other 'Role'.... Or if this was normal - and, even the Wolves and the Masons were told things like:
"You are the town's baker. You make really good bread
WOLF"
"You are the local lush. You can't handle your booze
MASON"

Austin at first said that he was fairly sure I was a villager - and I was honestly clueless as to how he was so sure (grateful, but clueless).
The irony was - I had also had the thought, but I couldn't be sure that all 9 of us were told 'village occupations' in addition to our 'ROLE', so I didn't really dwell on it.

I, in fact discussed this game with my wife - and told her (days ago) that Austin was the only other guy that claimed to have a specific powerless role, and that he may actually be a normal villager because of it. I then explained to her that it's my first time playing though - so I wasn't sure if everyone was given these "powerless roles" in addition to their real ROLE.

Then actually just a few posts up - Austin was a little more clear what it was that made him think I was a villager... And it struck me that - Um, that's exactly what Austin was thinking. And he was right (many pages ago), that if the other 'non-powered' was paying attention - we could perhaps all figure it out.

If st_dysan comes forward now and says "Ohhhh... Yeah, totally guys - sorry! I am the town's baker" we couldn't believe him.
Likewise for LordMortis.

You however, Kraegor - YOU are trusted for other reasons.
Since I can't say for certain that LordMortis is the wolf, and I can't say that st_dysan is the wolf - I am fairly certain we need to lynch them both (in which ever order) to get our villager win out of this.

If Austin is (or I am) lynched today, Austin or I will be eaten tonight.
This will leave you, the Mason, with 1 Wolf and 1 Villager - - and nothing to go on.
50/50 shot really... And, you can bet that both st_dysan and LordMortis will be working on you to pick the other guy.


If we lynch the wrong guy today, still - I bet Austin or I die tonight... Actually I bet it's me that dies if we don't end it with the proper lynch target.
That would leave you, the Mason, with Austin and someone who knows your ready to vote for Austin.

I really don't see how st_dysan's chiming in would change anything at this point.

Ah, its done so now I can vent in public. By giving the villagers "roles" you took a game slanted heavily towards the village and made it impossible for the wolves to win as every player became roled. I do like the idea of assigning people village "roles" to encourage roleplaying but to do so without giving them to everyone essentially made 2 sets of Masons, one which began the game with 2 people and could PM and one which began the game with 3 people and could not PM and left no powerless villagers at all.

The wolves hide in the powerless peoples. There was zero chance for the wolves to win this game.

Staying quiet was nicely played though st_dysan as they would have lynched you had you come out. I doubt they miss LM the day after me due to reasons outlined above but it still saved the village a miss when you knew I would go down without your voice.
