What kind of screwed up town is this where we all live amongst each other, presumably use each other's services and yet we can't identify each other's roles? Hmmm... Mr. Grunbegriff you look oddly familiar, can't place you though. BTW, I need to pay the guy who built my house, any idea who I need to talk to? Do I send a check to Remus? :P

The answer to that question is always "Yes, and feel free to make it a blank signed one."

We are a village of the blind and everyone keeps disguising their voice to piss me off.

What? I rarely check this forum anymore unless a active game is going. I didn't think a game was going to start since we was missing a player for about a week.

As usual I have no special role and offing me won't harm the village. Since we have such a small player pool I won't be voting for myself, but I would. Anyway, back to work

As the dawn approached, the Village was startled by a sudden scream that was cut short by howls and then eerie silence. When the Village gathered in the morning they were horrified to find Unagi rent asunder, it took them some time to find enough of him to bury.

It is Day.
Nine Players remain.
Majority is 5.
"Where are you off to?"
"I don't know," Snufkin replied.
The door shut again and Snufkin entered his forest, with a hundred miles of silence ahead of him.

Well, thats a second oddity. Be interesting to see what Grund makes of it.

Grund because I figure he was top of the "to be eaten" list. Doesn't mean he is wolf as it would not be the first time the bad guys left him alive (as you well know) but it still interests me.

Unagi played a very good game in the last one. Very vocal with good analyzing skills. I think that's why he was killed.

Anyway... nobody else bothered by Tru1cy's apparent (act of?) not receiving a PM? I mean we all received roles in one shape or form; I know I got a PM and I'm vanilla.

Yeah, that struck me as really strange. I even went back and double checked - every single player should have gotten a role PM. Maybe he just doesn't check his PMs any more? Still strange...

nice spin job wolfboy. I am claiming not to be the seer or priest. I recieved a PM just like everyone else. Sheesh, you a reaching harder than normal

Will wait to see what everyone else think of the butchering of Unagi...especially Grund as I would think he would be offed first.

Not saying it's pointing to his guilt, but I certainly was peaked by tru1cy's post. Not sure what to make of it yet. Of course it reeks of obiviousness. But whether or not its a double fold we shall see.

I did say that Unagi's death was the SECOND oddity did I not. What other odd event did you think I may have been refering to?

I'm not the only one perplexed. You came in and said that you were glad you stumbled in here as the game had started. Point is if you received a PM you would have known the game had started without stumbling in. The only reason I can think that you would post what you did was a goof up, where a wolf didn't read the rules and tried to play unpowered, who didn't get a PM.

go back and reread your entry post. Why didn't you realize the game had started if you received a PM?

I figured but I was trying to get some discussion going and see who else had comments on it. I can't figure it out but it's almost too bad a gaff to be real. Of course with my resolution to play focused on the best evidence we have makes Tru1cy my vote for now.

You really meta-gaming now. Anyway, I don't log in when I hit this OO unless I have something to post and unless I hit my hotmail account, which I didn't, I wouldn't know I recieved a pm. So when I checked this forum just to see if anyone else had joined the game to my surprise it had started. You are really reaching here and normally you are more focused than this

Austin gets my vote for right now, but I ask everyone to hold off on voting til everyone checks in

Oh yes. I started to comment on it when he said it but didn't since it was still night.

The way it read was he stumbled in here and discovered the game had started then noticed at the top of the screen that he had a PM.

He could be wired differently but I always notice when I first come into the forum if I have a PM. That's how i knew the game had started.

Guess I should read all the posts before I reply. :?

Possible, but who doesn't stay logged in automatically, besides Tru1cy.
Getting too meta-game so I'm going to hold off voting and look for other clues right now.

being meta-gamey here however, i am frequently logged out of the OO, although my settings are set to remember. I know there is an issue with that, however i dont have the time nor inclination to investigate teh root causes. It's simply not high on my priority list at the moment.

It is pretty meta but Tru1cy had to be pushed on it just in case. For now I'll withdraw Tru1cy as he has been sufficiently pushed for now. I do like the fact he doesn't self-vote anymore though.

Unagi wrote:Very excited to play again!
I am happy to report that I no longer thatch roofs.
Lets see here, should I reveal my new trade roll now or wait for a little while in hopes to link with a Seer/Priest. Linking may actually be a ‘wolf’ thing to try, so maybe waiting too long would be less helpful. Also, I’m not certain how much ‘Night 1’ talk we should get into.
Grundbegriff’s game analysis has the interesting effect of making me trust him and suspect him simultaneously. Everything he’s said so far seems helpful and not misleading, so I am inclined to trust him at this point. Remus, on the other hand, should just never be trusted.
Here's Unagi's one night post. I can't find much in there to point to a killer. I get the feeling that he trusted Grund, or could easily be pushed that way and I think Grund would have kept him around. He jokes about distrusting Remus which doesn't help much as I don't think Remus would have worried about that either way. It was friendly enough that it really said, "I think you're a good player".

Perhaps there is something frame-up worthy in here, but I'm starting to think they just picked someone who might be a special (aka anyone) and who might cause confusion. Thoughts?

That's all we get about it? I had hoped for something more.

Withdraw Austin for now to allow discussion

Remus and Austin seem very quick to jump to judgment. Hell, Remus isn't even poking the quiets one which speaks volumes. I'm a little disappointed that Grund didn't have a more in-depth analysis of the way poor Unagi was filet, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for now. I would like more discussion ffrom the quiets ones before we get to voting

Actually as hurt as I am that he's voting for me () I don't think, "because he wasn't killed last night" is a good enough reason to vote for him. I can understand some votes on me as I'm being active and well, that draws attention, but I wouldn't vote for Grund just because the wolves chose someone else.

Well, you're making it easy for them.
  • I'm not a Werewolf. I'm a Carpenter.
  • I don't know why they left me alive. Probably so someone like you would do something like that.
  • Killing Unagi was a good play. It sows confusion because nobody knows who would be likely to choose him, but everyone saw in the previous game that he's an attentive player.
  • Killing Unagi is not the move I would've made were I a Werewolf. Y'all know I like to leave the strongest players alive and then try to torment them. ;)
  • I get automatically logged off OO despite my persistent cookie settings, too. I don't hold that against tru1cy. Nevertheless, I think his "I didn't know the game had started" combined with his "I did get a PM" looks like a "poke the innocents" moment. Sure, it's possible not to notice that you're logged out; but not to notice that when you're eagerly awaiting a game you looked forward to playing in which the first event is your receipt of a role? Not. Making. Sense.

Everybody complained about that strategy from me. Now everyone complains that I'm not doing it. I like my new strategy though so I am going to continue to see where it gets me.

Well you certainly aren't getting a pass being quiet. Of course with this few people lynching the innocents can get us into trouble fast. Speaking of which makes Grund seem awfully suspicious
