Lassr wrote:I've been sitting here trying to figure out if Austin was a wolf what is his strategy.

If he gets an innocent lynched then we have 5 left tomorrow. He would take out the priest tonight. He would play the "wolf killed the priest so the village would kill me card" if we bought that and hung another innocent and we woke up the next day with Austin alive he'd then play the "wolf wants the village to do it's work and lynch me, wolf wins card."

But Austin should have 2 scans left. You would think he'd hit a wolf (if everyone is telling the truth), if he didn't then it would be obvious it was him. He could say he scanned a villager and then the wolf killed that villager that night but then why would the wolf kill villagers that were still suspect. You'd want to go after the knowns. In that case it would make Austin very suspicious also.

I can't see anyway that this plan would work or if it did it would be a lot less successful than if he just kept his mouth shut.

So, I'm pretty sure Austin is telling the truth but don't be surprised if he is alive tomorrow, that wouldn't mean he's a wolf though.
So mistrusting. you know... one of the options I was considering was PMing you today instead of scanning. That would have been funny and perhaps I could have made you 80% trust me.

Well I'm off to bed. I'll post a Zurai vote and see if anything has happened in the morning. Remember Mr. Wolf, you're not allowed to run to Remus for help; he's dead.

Assuming you are the seer - and I believe you are for reasons I've already posted - even if you hang the wrong person today, the village SHOULD still win.

The wolf would basically have three options tonight:

Kill Austin.
Kill tru1cy and hope we kill Austin the next day.
Kill a non-powered Innocent.

The thing is...

If he ignores Austin, Austin confirms his Seer-ness by PMing with one of the known innocents (tru1cy, lassr, bubbles). Solid voting block of 4 or 5 (if tru1cy gets a new living person confession) people forms. Even if they lynched the wrong person AGAIN, it's still game over at that point.

If he DOES kill Austin, that confirms that he was indeed the Seer (or a lieing lunatic, I guess). That means we have a solid voting block of 3 (tru1cy, lassr, bubbles) with 6 people remaining. Assuming a second missed lynch (say, me), that would leave 2 innocents and 1 wolf after the following night (say the wolf kills tru1cy - an easy choice at that point), but those two innocents (lassr and bubbles in this case) would KNOW that they were both innocent, and would KNOW that the wolf was the remaining player - newcastle, in this example.

I don't see how the wolf can possibly win right now unless Austin or tru1cy are liars.

Have you noticed though that I haven't cast a single vote against you this whole game!

also, I'm just guessing on Zurai. Mostly voting that way because he's been the most quiet. Laying low to avoid detection (edit: until the end game...he's active now).

I do agree with his assessment above. I'll keep my vote with Zurai and see where we go tomorrow.

I may not be around until tomorrow night though.

Woot Saturday night and i am reviewing a WW game. Damn i am hardcore (refrain from SChool of Rock.../sing "but your not hardcore").

I just reread the thread. Well, skimmed, scanned, perused. Choose your adjective.

I am heavily leaning toward Proner now, more so than Zurai. Look at how this day began. Look at his posts...he begins by trying to cast doubt on austin. Simple things he says "it makes you look so evil", "why would you do that, it would hurt

ah screw it...here are his quotes:

It was a joke. I was suggesting that I was a wolf and posted my death to Lassr PM rather than PM it. Just playing around. You and I don't mesh on the jokes, I still remember you trying to hang me to changing a Genghis quote to say, "I am a vampire". :P (note the lack of an edit just in case someone took it seriously)
But it makes you look so evil when you joke like that. :P
pr0ner wrote:Austin, why would you want the priest or the seer to come out?

Unless the priest or seer has any information, they need to stay hidden.

FYI, I'm neither the priest, nor the seer. I'm just a candlemaker.

Pr0ner, Zurai, Tru1cy? Are any of your the priest?

Lassr, Bubbles, Newcastle? Are any of you the seer?

Or if the wolves would kindly step forward we could just get on with this.
I'm quoting this again.

Austin, if you're innocent, why would you want both the priest and the seer to come out? The only reason why you'd want the priest and seer to come out without concrete evidence is so that you would know who to eat next.

What makes you think I'm wolf if I'm the one going against wanting the priest and seer to come out (them hidden until they have concrete information is the best course of a

His whole "woe is me, real life is too busy, I'm innocent, kill me" play when he was on the brink of the deciding vote in day 1 reeks of a wolf desperate to save his neck.

damn it, it didnt come out. Anyway, one quote was encapsulated within another...its near the end, its obvious. I am not going to edit to tamper with it. I dont think there is a no edit rule. but just being safe.

Why do i bring this up? Well read through those quotes. Those are proners bits of participation since today dawned.

Doesnt the first few sound like he is trying to cast guilt or doubt on Austin? Doesnt it sound as if he is gently, and subtly trying to make austin look reckless? As if he is trying to stir up trouble?

Anyway, i guess I am railing against him. But i dont want to vote yet, but unless someone can make a convincing case V. zurai, my vote is going proner.

The Village gathered around Austin and tru1cy, weighing the possibilities and ramifications of their claims. After much deliberation they chose to lynch pr0ner, noting that zurai and newcastle were to be the next in line and they'd perhaps flip a coin between them.

After hanging pr0ner they slept thru the night peacefully and found everyone alive in the morning.

And for the record I rolled the Random Confessions at the Start.

Random.org gave me 1,2,1,1,4

So the Priest was going to get Grund again on Day 3 and 4 :)

I think the ruleset I used is indeed weighted to the Village unless the Wolves eat either the Priest or the Seer which would cause a severe shift in power.
Sort of makes it a Wolves searching for the right victim more important.

nicely done village.

I thinkt he ruleset is defintely biased toward the village. The fact that we could have a coming out party on day 2 and really eliminate over 1/2 of the remaining people as suspects was an immense help.

I think not telling the village who is what, helps the wolves, because it keeps some confusion in the villagers. Not sure how i would balance. The priest was uber though.

Remus - Why did you commit suicide? I honestly dont see why you did that? Did you think Proner was safely hidden?

Interesting. i didnt see austin as the seer. In fact i saw him as an underpowered vilalger. I thought truicy was the priest...it took me a bit to piece that one together (i saw his 'hint' and pieced it together).

Remus, i had no clue about, and proner didnt emerge till the last twodays or thereabouts.

And i did make a gaffe in hinting too strongly as the painter. I used perspective, because i thought Grund was innocent. I twanted to signal to him who i was, and thought i could use "painting" lingo to help him see me. I had hoped he would keep it low. I think he realized it after the fact. who knows./ Vilalge won, that's the big thing.

Going into Night 2, I still wasn't sure about Grund. I have a long standing difficulty in trusting him. ;) I also have a habit of picking up on his interactions between other players and mis-thinking them to be wolf communications. Like if he's a mason with someone or this game with Tru1cy's connection. In fact in my contemplations of last night I had scan him or tru1cy as options. I finally decided on Bubbles as I decided to trust him a bit more and thought he signaled me to scan Bubbles. (and I had already scanned Lassr)

My other option was to PM Lassr with plans to utilize him as a prophet. That would have been hell for him though so I didn't. :P Actually I didn't as I figured more info was better than proving myself. Get the info, come out and then worry about proving Seer later.

That was the whole point, I figured unless we talked the village into a very bad play (scanning Unagi?) we were screwed. I had identified the tie between tru1cy and Grund (sadly the wrong direction) and hoped that by killing myself the village would proceed as though there were two wolves left. I also thought that killing Grund would remove the Priest so you would not get to know until it was over which would put pressure on everyone else who voted for me.

BTW, I gave myself an award after my death.
