Heh. You guys are screwed. I win the pool in even numbered years and the pattern has always been me just scraping past the cutoff line at the end. 8-)

... at least, that's what I keep telling myself to keep me from opening a vein in response to the most miserable regular season I've ever had in this pool. :x

Then I wonder if Angelina ever wakes up in the middle of the night to find Brad Pitt in the shower, huddled in a corner furiously scrubbing at his d*** and going, 'I can't get the smell of Billy Bob off of this thing.' Then I try to think of something, anything, else." --Brian

Forgot my Thursday pick as well, but I probably would have picked Denver so the end result is the same. :)

Definitely a good week for me (but I'm sure it was solid for most). Getting to be Crunch Time!

Is it fair to guess that there won't be a status update from Week 15 today, or am I mistaken? I want to see the updated standings before making my Week 16 picks, if that's possible. (If it isn't likely, I want to hear that as well, so I can go ahead and make my picks anyway.)

Thanks!

For Meal -Week 15:

Some People
Meal
A bunch of people
The cutoff line for playoffs
Some more people
Me
A few sad lonely souls
The regular absentees

Will that work?

That's funny, but not exactly what I was hoping for. I just want to evaluate the amount of risk I need to incorporate into my picks to take a shot at the final-weeks' prize.

That said, my picks are in for this week.

I apologize to all of you for the lack of an update thus far; it's been a crazy week and I still haven't finished entering last week's picks, hence the delay. That said, I have no valid excuse, as I have managed to find some time for Guild Wars. I'll try to get an update out prior to the start of tonight's game, in case anyone wants to modify their picks accordingly.

No need for an apology here. I'm okay with you prioritizing GW ahead of the OONFL status if that's where your week has lead you. Thanks for the update on the expected timing for the update, though. :)

Tardy again; this is after week 15, not including last night. Also, Mitma's picks are on a sheet on my desk, so her score will jump once I enter that tonight. I didn't want to hold off the rest of the scores for that, though.

Now, My Math may be wrong, but I believe the End of year surge looks like this:

Meal 84
Guido 81
Kurth 81
Big Jake 80
Soulbringer 78
Mr Bob 78
5 People at 77 (Chris Gwinn, Smutly, Captain Caveman, Hispanic Gamer, & Tine)

Of course, I added those up quickly, so I might not be quite right. If my math is right: C'mon Neal, screw up big!! :D

W16 was not my best week, so assuming Jake's numbers coming into the week were correct, I certainly don't feel like I've got the surge locked up. Thanks for taking the time to figure those out, however!

Because I couldn't bring myself to lock the Patriots in all their smug excellence, I went with the surging Vikings. Bad move on that one. Still, I went 4/5 on locks and 8/11 for the others (if the Chargers pull it out against the Broncos), giving me an estimated 27 points this week.

Hardly a lock, but I think I'm still in contention for the Surge award. I hope.

Only 2 points below the Mendoza Line before this week.

Damn you, Meal! Talk about giving me false hope . . . you scored 30 frickin' points in week 16! Maybe not literally your best week, but none too shabby. :)
