Werewolf 101 Wednesday - Chaosrendered
Completely ripped off from Remus' Back to Basics game.
12 Players
2 Werewolves. Each night cycle the Werewolves choose to kill one of the other players.
1 Seer. Each night cycle the Seer chooses one player to have a vision about, revealing the nature of that player (werewolf/human)
9 Villagers.
Each Day cycle the players choose one player to face mob justice. The first player recieving a majority of the remaining votes when the moderator (me) tallies the votes will be hung from the neck until dead. Death reveals nature of that player.

One issue. How are you and Grund going to be the wolves if Lassr plays?

In Please
Also, I have been playing around in my head with a new game role for a simple werewolf game and since you are starting one I thought I would drop it in here and see what everyone thought about it?
==============================
The Cursed Fool - The Cursed Fool isn't quite right in the head so therefore he does not know he is the fool and neither does anyone else know who the Cursed Fool is. His curse is that each day phase he must cast votes to match the number of votes to reach a simple majority. For a vote to count each vote must be for a different player. When that day phase ends, for every vote below the number of votes to reach a simple majority a permanent secret vote is assessed to the Cursed Fool from that time until the end of the game. The permanent secret stays with the Village Fool until the end of the game, he dies, or he is lynched.
For example, on Day One there are nine players and the simple majority is 5 so the Cursed Fool must vote for 5 different players. The Cursed Fool chooses to vote for only 3 different players before Day One ends. The WWMod secret assesses 2 permanent secret votes to the Cursed Fool. One Day Two, there are 7 players remaining and the majority to lynch is 4 votes. If two players vote for the Cursed Fool, he is lynched (2 player votes + 2 secret permanent votes = 4 votes total).
No one will know how many permanent votes are assessed to the Cursed Fool and no one who know who the Cursed Fool is including the Cursed Fool. The Cursed Fool can not be a werewolf or the Seer, however.
==============================
The idea behind the role is a feeling I have had that more and more players are hanging in the background which starts to make for some very boring games. Since no one knows who the Cursed Fool is (include the Cursed Fool himself) then everyone is obliged to vote to save themselves from the possible permanent votes. Also note that the other specials can not be the Cursed Fool so that know they are not the Cursed Fool yet they also must make the votes otherwise be recognized as a special.
I hope I am not seeming pushy by posting this because I am not too. Its just a thought I have had rolling around in my head and I wanted to see what people thought about it.

Might be fun, but not in this one. Just a basic werewolf game. There is more participation once people start to get into PMing and such.

The only one I'd argue is forum editing....
One thing to edit a forum post for spelling.
Another to post something, screw with someone who reads it and then completely change it half a minute or three later. We have pm's whenever we want, no need to editing.

Meh it's the one arguement I have... in werewolf there are no "take backs" You cant say to someone else: "I cant wait for night so I can kill that asshole" and then be like: "No I said... (edit)" and then it's your word vs his word.
Meh if that's how you want it to roll so be it.

I hear ya', but the forums are different in quite a few ways than a RL game. (well duh right?) If someone edits you can open an inquiry or form a coup behind the scenes. The best is when you are a wolf and Lassr someone contacts you saying that they have decided to trust you. At that point you talk to Grund your teammate and say if we both don't survive this really isn't a win.Semaj wrote:Meh it's the one arguement I have... in werewolf there are no "take backs" You cant say to someone else: "I cant wait for night so I can kill that asshole" and then be like: "No I said... Which is why you simply lynch anyone who edits content. Let the players control the "edit/no edit" themselves. You edit you die works a lot better than "please do not edit your posts".Semaj wrote:Meh it's the one arguement I have... in werewolf there are no "take backs" You cant say to someone else: "I cant wait for night so I can kill that asshole" and then be like: "No I said... this gamestyle is a bit different. there's more under the surface but if yer not a part of that current, it's just crickets chirping. Can be fairly hit n miss experience depending on how you personally take advantage of it.Semaj wrote:Meh it's the one arguement I have... in werewolf there are no "take backs" You cant say to someone else: "I cant wait for night so I can kill that asshole" and then be like: "No I said...
