What about your other Super Hero game? Not that I want it to start now, but I think it would be fun in the not so distant future!!Chaosraven wrote:NOOOoooooooooo!!!

Oh, um...needed to keep reading.Remus West wrote:I think if you wait to start sign ups until the present game is over you will get players. If you (Scoop) are not interested in running it I will run the mystery powers game (the next JLA idea where you know what powers are possibly in the game but not which ones actually are there).

My game isn't designed for newbies. Its Scoop 101! I will hold off on starting it until the proper time presents itself.Remus West wrote:I think if you wait to start sign ups until the present game is over you will get players. We did not kill you first in your first games. That strategy has become something of a legend/myth lost in the mists of time and old threads.mipe wrote:If you are a newbie, just hope there aren't so much 'super-werewolf-player-vets' as they like the strategy of "Hey, a new guy! He must be evil!" and then you are dead.
as remus pointed out, that's more of a joke than anything else. if anything that dynamic is used as a means for a frame job.mipe wrote:If you are a newbie, just hope there aren't so much 'super-werewolf-player-vets' as they like the strategy of "Hey, a new guy! Just be lucky you don't have a reputation of a good guy who always seems to get a role. You die faster that way.mipe wrote:If you are a newbie, just hope there aren't so much 'super-werewolf-player-vets' as they like the strategy of "Hey, a new guy! He must be evil!" and then you are dead.
Dude that is so like ummm you know 5 minutes ago. Good is the new evil.Kraegor wrote:dude please. yer the "most times evil" record holder, THAT'S why you get targeted for lynch
Live longer. That way you can be the one commiting Remuscide.Semaj wrote:not me, I'm out for a while.
I get tired of getting amped up and having about 5 days of fun, then 30 days of banging my head into a wall watching people remuside/etc.
I was pretty much screwed the second the randomiser picked the wolves. Not to say who those wolves are, since well any two people could screw me equally... But, needless to say, the fact they both pointed and laughed at me on the evil boards did nothing for my happiness levels.Remus West wrote:Live longer. BTW, did I say I was sorry that I had potentially contributed to you being the choice for first kill last game?
Yeah, I went through a time where I would only vote for the silent players the first few days regardless of other evidence. I am rapidly getting back to those days.Semaj wrote:It's causing me great irritation at the moment.
Well not to single out anyone, but why play a game and not participate. I really don't understand that mentality. The game is so much more fun when everyone is participating, even if it's just snarky comments with no particular purpose.Remus West wrote:Yeah, I went through a time where I would only vote for the silent players the first few days regardless of other evidence. /shrug. all behaviors can be modified given the proper stimulus.Semaj wrote: Sigh... I've learned the best way to play is to forget you are playing for 2 weeks.
no. you get killed because you always look like you have an agenda that does not involve finding wolves. current perception is you are the twitchy guy standing in the corner... you are drenched in sweat and you can't stop blinking. the nervous muttering under your breath doesn't help things...Semaj wrote:I usually get killed for voting for silent people "Poking the innocents" someone said...
to put it another way.... someone accuses you of something... when you jump 8ft in the air and put your hands behind your back... folks get curious...Semaj wrote:I usually get killed for voting for silent people "Poking the innocents" someone said...
I play both ways. Depends on the lay of the land and whether or not I have the energy for a true tantrum.Semaj wrote:
It's not the only way. Personally I am all for people fighting tooth and nail to live, kicking and screaming and trying to live through the night. I dunno about you, but name the last time someone went silently into that good night in real life?
"Well we can kill you or the guy next to you who probably has killed 4 people this week."
"Well the screw that rat bastard, I haven't done shit. Kill him to prove I'm the good guy!"
Me that makes way more sense than :"OK I'll die, but he dies next?"
Course maybe it's because I'm used to a different style of play...
Nah, you would have pulled it off if you had had a competant partner. Or at least one who was paying attention. "Hey, Chaosraven must have scanned me"....do nothing...do nothing...do nothing...die.Kraegor wrote:I play both ways. would be the game where Scoop and I agreed to hate each for eternity. if ya feel like readin, I played most of the game right in everyone's face... woulda pulled it off if I hadn't botched every single behind the scenes move. talk about karma... perfect game while everyone's watching... but at night with privacy my facade crumbles... wtf...
You add me to the category as well. I just can't help myself. I just love to tweak people and get a reaction. Not the best way to find a wolf, however.Kraegor wrote:plain and simple you are pressing buttons but you don't actually know what they do. thus you've had the bad luck of pressing the red button a few times in a row.
I used to do the same. Hell most of the time I randomly push any damn button I feel like just to see what will happen. maybe i die, maybe i don't. it's not like the only people I have to worry about are the one's holding ropes.

and if I had claimed to be Desmond before he did? I was going to claim I scanned him as Ben....preempting his outing of me. First come first trusted. Then, when you shoot him and never get to know what side he was on......stessier wrote:Remus West wrote: Or at least one who was paying attention. Seemed like the perfect partner to me!
I got about 1/10th of the way through the rules/Roles/stations/etc before I felt the need to shoot myself...Kraegor wrote: I play both ways. Depends on the lay of the land and whether or not I have the energy for a true tantrum.
