If Purge is a special or Chaos.

Should I force that point now?

Stessier, what say you (since you and Lassr are both of the mind that I may never actually shoot)
How would you force the point? Threaten to shoot Purge? That would be interesting.

I'll trust you when the body hits the floor. Too little is known in this game and it seems even less is verifiable, so you'll have to excuse the caution. Unless you are EC, in which case, prepare to meet your maker.

Yeah, mine was supposed to be a  rather than

:P

If you are going to do something, just do it sooner rather than later. Who knows when Purge might check back in. Although Lassr is already starting to emit noxious fumes. Are you sure that thing didn't go off prematurely? I've heard it happening to people in your condition.

I thought there were multiple Apothocaries based on the initial description (where the roles are singular and it says "Apothocaries").

Either way, I'm speaking to what Mister Theohall is claiming, not to what either I am or am not.

This game feels like it's an easier win for the bad guys (given the higher numbers and more significant powers).

They could know who the Chaplin is based on a night scan and converted him, or put us back behind the eightball with a conversion of the librarian or apothocary.

Fact of the matter is there was 5 specials, and unless the Chaplin and the informed EC team attacked the same target last night (1in10 + 1in10), we're looking at a minimum of 5 specials where three are EC's. If the Chaplain DID protect themselves last night (and was attacked) they might consider letting us know that we only have 2 EC's. Who knows though, the Chaplin may have selected some other random schmuck and happened to luck out on being effective. Can we put much faith in that? No.

Otherwise it would be in the Chaplin's best interest to stay hidden.
I would like to apologize to anyone I have not offended.
Please be patient - I will get to you shortly.

That would ramp someone up to the top of my bad guy list very very quickly.
What would ramp someone up to the top of your list?
If Purge says he is the Librarian.
Yeah, but - meh... so in your world (not saying mine is to different really) there is no trust to be had at all really, as everyone but ME (the Terminator) can be faked. The only people to trust are those that claim simple Marine, and even those - of course - must not be trusted.

Just talking out loud here - danglin in the breeze.
Actually (although you are not really wrong about how I look at the game  ) I was refering to the fact that I was thinking someone else for that role.

Since we had the info from mipes death, we "had" an apothocary, correct? They may have been converted though and now have none. Is this for true?

Correction (based on Tru1cy's clarification):

Because we got data on mipe this morning. The Apothocary is Still Alive right now, and Not Converted.

You are really confused. Maybe Unagi should shoot you and put you out of our misery. :D

According to tru1cy, we wouldn't get the seed if the APothecary is converted. So we have the Apo today.

Does the Chaplain find out if he is attacked? Is there something you'd like to share with us??

Re: Warhammer - Burn the Heretic! Day Two -No one found dead

Post by purge »

here is where I got confused:
The Emperor’s Children Chaos Space Marine Chapter:

Chaos Sorcerer- Can asks the true role of any player. Keeps the communication for the chaos players open. If he dies then Chaos can only communicate at night

Chaos Champion – The Ruinous Power has blessed the fallen marine with the ability to convert any player to a chaos marine. Coversion power can only be used once

Chaos Marine – Turned to the Ruinous power by the Chaos Champion. If lynched the warp energies he wields go wild and take one random marine with him.

The Dark Angels Space Marine Chapter:

Space Marine Librarian – Can detect the taint of Chaos. Can ask the true role of any player.

Space Marine Chaplin – The God-Emperor’s preacher in the Space Marine Chapter. Protector the Chapter’s soul. Can protect any player from conversion or infection.

Space Marine Terminator- Storm Bolter holds one holy shell. Will stop the Chaos Marine from taking another player if shot. Shot must be taken prior to the days lynch vote being final.

Space Marine Apothecaries- Must recover the Gene-Seed of executed or lynched Marines. The Gene -Seed will reveal if sign of chaos is present
There is no mention in the description either of it being singular, and there have been games (such as BSG) where there are several autopsy specialists.

I thought you were joking personally. If you are going to shoot one of the semi-to-fully absent folks I would prefer it be Purge. Judging from their return posts, Bubbles is likely a Marine while Purge is likely a special or evil. If he is special he can speak up before getting the bullet thus keeping us from shooting ourselves in the foot. (yes groan, but I thought it funny) If I am wrong in my read of Bubbles (which is based off that single return post) he will not likely know it is coming before he is dead as we do need to keep the deadline in mind. Of course if I am wrong and he is evil that is a bonus if you shoot him and an issue if you do not but I (obviously) feel I am right.

BTW, so far I am at a minimu of .500 for my guesses at special since I was right about Unagi. I'm interested to see if I made the correct read on the other. :D

You are not even talking about the same thing I was. It had nothing to do with either you or Bubbles (which I think you are refering to).

I was commenting that earlier (at the start of this game day) I told you guys I had two suspects that I figured were either evil or special. Then I voted Unagi saying I figured he was either evil or the shooter. Thus I was correct on one of the two suspects. It remains to be seen on the second one. Thus the minimum of .500. I have 1 of 2 already while the second of the 2 remains to be seen. So my exact percent is either 50% or 100%. Sheesh.

As for Purge and Bubbles, I remain of the same opinion I was before. Bubbles is likely a Marine and Purge is likely a Special or Evil. I am not sure which but I think if he is Special then he can defend himself from having the gun pointed at him by admitting to it which makes him a better target right now than Bubbles who would likely go to the grave silent. Since there is a chance Bubbles is a special killing him duiring a time period he is not likely to be around to talk would suck. Basically the entire argument is that I like to hear from the condemned and I do not think we will hear from Bubbles. Also, I think Bubbles would make a greater effort to be around were he Evil as he would not want to win that (via absentee-ism) way.

All of that is nothing though because I still think Theohall is the best target for shooting as he has done nothing to diminish my suspicions of him and I would rather go after someone I think likely evil.

Well, while I was indeed totally serious - it looks like you blew off my main point:
Unagi wrote:not in any attempt to win the game, but just to shoot him?
I don't know what Mr.Bubbles is in this game.

And I don't know if his excuses are real, convenient, or perhaps even both.

I just can't stand when a player is in these games and then basically becomes a totally blank sheet of paper.

I realize and accept that it's just Real Life, and we all just need to deal with how it pans out in these games.

I didn't shoot him - but I seriously would have done it if I didn't feel like half of the poeple playing the game (myself included) would have been annoyed to lose someone without the chance for them to say anything in their defense... And as you said - it looked like Mr Bubbles was saying "See you after the Hard Deadline for this day has Expired!!" - and well, that just sucks from a "Game Playing Enjoyment" point of view.

If he ends up being Evil, how can it not be said that he just totally meta slipped away from the noose (or bullet, in this case).
AND - to be fair to the Wolves of this game: If he ends up being a SPECIAL, how can it not be said that he just totally meta slipped away from being forced by me to Self-Out ? The 'meta' excuses swing both ways, and I've been annoyed by them from both sides of the fence.
Remus West wrote:Also, I think Bubbles would make a greater effort to be around were he Evil as he would not want to win that (via absentee-ism) way.
On first blush, I totally agree with you. But, you know - Revhempus found the time to post in the Evil thread, about his desire to not post in the Game Thread , in the game he nearly won due to his absenteeism. My point being that sometimes there is a Meta-Reason for an absence that forces you to actually leverage that Meta-Reason for tactical advantage. And that sucks.

Oh snap... So I guess I wasn't shot. So yeah I guess I can understand people's annoyance with me today, but this vacation is a bit busier than I thought. I know Remus feels I'm innocent, but I swear he gives me the hibby jibbies. Of course it could be because he always gives me the hibby jibbies. I'm glad you didn't use the shot on me since it would have been a waste. While my participation has been shot I am not a hinderance to our cause. Viva la Raza.

You can't make out what he says to stessier, but from the look on stessier's face it was really quite clever and perhaps even funny.

So Scoop, purge, or Remus... since Remus is convinced I'm evil while I know better and can do nothing to change the fact; purge can't count; and Scoop is the aggressive guy trying to kill off folks quickly.

So....

I'll stick to the initial plan...
