Would a PIFF dvd thread work?

Post by lokiju »

I was just thinking that it might be nice for people to part with dvds that are not wanted. Has it been discussed before? Or am I missing a snafu? I realize many people hang on the dvds...but I have noticed through trades that many people have ones they are willing to part with, and that way you might find something you like in place of it.

Well, the problem is that with things like movies, people would probably be more apt to sell or trade them, rather than just give them away. I would have no problem trading something I am done with, and wont watch again, with someone, but I personally wouldnt just give it away with nothing in return.

We kind of did this at GG, with a VHS/CD/DVD PIFF and I got three happy movies from that. I also sent out out a few, so it seemed like a good thing.

I'd say we go with all three of those in one thread if it is created.

Yeah, I agree. I forgot that some people still use VCRs.

We had a DVD/CD/VHS thread at GG. It was ok for a little while but eventually died after five pages or so. Still, I got a few movies out of it. It wouldn't hurt to try again.
I want him in the games until he dies playing. End of line.

If you guys want to try it, go for it. I'm not going to sticky it though unless it proves to have a long shelf life.

We also had a PIFF book thread that died out after two pages. It is a great idea, though, so long as we keep it as simple as the game PIFF.

Should I ask in the EBG section? Maybe take a poll? Or should we just start it and see what happens?

Just start one and see where it goes, I'd say. :) That's what I did with the original PIFF.

Hmmm, okay, but it sounds like a big first step for the little lokiju. :D
