We are all Harvey Dent now.
So, getting back to the "playing" of this game, I have no truly obvious targets as of this very moment. Unagi does seem like he done doth protestethed over much after my vote, but that's not exactly a hanging offense. Tru1cy has posted more than I've ever experienced before, which is certainly unusual, but I want to reward more posting rather than punish it, so I'm not eager to set a precedent where he gets whacked for being more open. On the other hand, he suggested some fairly terrible ideas.
Still, my head asplode from reading too much of the erudite

Re: The Dark Knight - Act 1
That's the approach I took with theohall last game. He was understanding the rules better than usual and making more posts and they all made sense. I didn't want to vote for him the first day due to this MO change, because I liked this new theohall participation...well, turns out he was the bad guy.Brendan wrote: Tru1cy has posted more than I've ever experienced before, which is certainly unusual, but I want to reward more posting rather than punish it, so I'm not eager to set a precedent where he gets whacked for being more open.
Unfortunately, when you play the same style several games in a row then suddenly change it often sends up flags.

For the most part, you all have noted that your votes are Day One guesses. Why not join me on my vote for Remus West. I have a hunch he is one of the jokers. I will make this pledge, if we kill him and he isn't one of team joker, then I offer myself up as tomorrow's lynch victim.
Would anyone on team joker make that offer on Day one? No, they would lay low and see how things turn out with the votes since they get a kill each night.
I'm just a normal citizen so I'm safe to be lynched and don't have a problem with dying. (Just gives me more time to start work on Starship R.SCOTT).
Oh and ...
Withdrawal Remus West
I want the kill vote.

Scoop, yes, the bad guys have made that exact offer in the past. No, I am not a bad guy. You were one of us that disagreed with tru1cy's idea of outing the non-specials so why would you continue the trend? As for those not voting for me, perhaps they are not as foolish as you and see that I am exactly what I have been telling you - not a bad guy.

post saying folks should not mass out
Your actions contradict your words as you just "outed" yourself in the same manner tru1cy did. Unless you are lying about being just a citizen. I think you are. Lying that is.Scoop20906 wrote:Analysis: With a MASS outing the best we can hope for is 6 known and we may get less depending who Newcastle was. That leaves 8 players as unknowns in the best case scenario since I never count people claiming Citizen as "Out" and we have no "true" Seer in this game since scanning roles are divided amongst several players.
Once the 6 players reveal themselves, they can be easily picked off by the Jokers starting with Gordon getting shot during the day by the Sniper.
Mass outing does not make sense to me.

I have a hard time reading Remus but the last several games when he has been good his posts are similar to the ones in this game. Could mean nothing, maybe he's playing the same bad as he does good, but I'm just not ready to vote for him right now. I will not vote for myself. I ascribe to the Remus West school of thought that you make the badies vote for you and get them on the record.
As far as if a baddie would make this pledge, yes they would but how smart would it be? I've already made my life expectancy short by going after Remus in this way. Why stick my neck out on Day One if I'm on Team Joker? Think about that.
If you really think I'm wrong, don't vote with me for Remus but if you have no other options I'm saying we vote for Remus. I have a hunch on Remus and I'm itching to test it.

Scoop's real comment was about tru1cy playing silent as an evil role. I changed it to being tru1cy playing silent as a good guy and commented on how the two were equal commentaries on tru1cy's play style. I have now colored the words I changed along with a strikethrough of what they originally were in the imbedded quote here so you can see them easier.

Scoop,
As you know (...right?) Remus is/was on my short list, his launch into this game felt a little different from his last launch... but then I also felt that his last launch was a little like his previous launch (and well, he wasn't the same alignment in those two games - so it says my read of him needs improvement). That being said - yeah, I think Remus could very well be a baddie in this game, but I still feel better about my current vote.
Mind if I reverse this on you? I've been pretty clear about why I think Brendan's reasoning was fabricated. And I think fabrication is indeed a good sign of a wolf. What do you feel about joining me on the Brendan boat. I will point out that it's got more members then your group - and the person "pushing it" (me) is actually willing to be on the vote (unlike you, not even being on the Remus vote at all)
Arguably, you should be totally fine with Isgrimnur's proposal (personally, I wouldn't trust him to follow through with the bargain).
I will tell you this - at the start of the game, Remus was defintely making me feel like he was wolfy. But I didn't like Brendan's statement and his reaction (which appears to be: "Ok, Ok, let's pretend I never voted for you, I really want to lynch Grund") has only given me resolve. Sorta like the resolve he said my reaction had given him - but then he dropped that too.
Remus on the other hand, has basically just maintained his level of 'guilt' in my eyes. Not up nor down - but that just means he's still on my short list.
I think you should place a vote Scoop.
And I think you should place it on Brendan. If you don't and he turns up wolf - I promise to vote for you the next day.

Re: The Dark Knight - Act 1
Wow, interesting post, Unagi.
First, I haven't requested you to change your vote, Unagi. Lets be clear about that. You seemed pretty confident about Brendan so no point in trying to bring you to my vote.
Second, as I said before, the reasons either of you voted for each other seemed pretty innocuous to me and not enough to warrant a vote.
Third, nice to see you got the same vibe I did from Remus however I'm not sure why you are just bringing this up now and not before.
Fourth, I made it clear and you even seemed to acknowledge it. I'm saving my vote for the 7th kill vote on Remus. Its clear I have intangible but very real vote on Remus right now.
Fifth, thanks so much for the offer but I will stick with my bandwagon for Remus. If Remus turns up wolf as I suspect and you vote for me tomorrow, I promise to vote for you tomorrow too.
THANKS!

I also would like to think 1 of the Unagi/brendan group might be evil...

yes, and you are one also. This does not look like a ploy by an evil person. If it is then Bravo to you.Scoop20906 wrote:Interesting...Lassr wrote:I have nothing that screams evil to me. That's how I work, after looking for stuff that may make someone look evil, I start looking at things that may make someone look good.

Re: The Dark Knight - Act 1
This is what you base your big hunch on? That I'm "forced" stating a position I have always held? Silents suck. People trying to live rather than win for their side. Neither of those ideas are new or unique to this game. They are long held positions by me. If I didn't feel like you were totally manufacturing your aim at me before you cemented the idea now. Have you ever had a hunch that was correct?Scoop20906 wrote:I got a vibe that Remus's discussion with me and Isgrimnur regarding players staying silent to survive instead of posting their thoughts felt "forced" to me like he was making a big effort to show he was good/not evil. Its a hunch but on Day One what else do you have? Its up to you if you think thats better than random.org.tru1cy wrote:Why Remus? I have no issue of voting of Remus, but I would like to know why?
I think you should switch your vote to Remus West.
