Re: The Dark Knight - Act 1
Ahh... funny I read 'mortized' as being 'rrmortoned' and thought of the changed quote....Chaosraven wrote:Uh no, i'm talking about remus 'cant wont out' with an immediate 'cant\wont find out' pair of posts... Why is he paying so much attention to his own post?
regarding that moment - not sure.
The question(s) I ask myself:
Was the mistake something meaningful (a poke-the' moment, or not)
What is the mind-set (evil/good) of the person that feels OK with correcting it with a follow up post (guilty/clear conscious? )
Seemed like a meaningless typo/brainfart .
Seemed like someone that just didn't want that sitting there and everyone reading it saying "Um, what?"
Personally, it doesn't really shift Remus around the matrix really.

For me, momentas like that arwe like edits. What did he say? Why did he feel compelled to do something about it? Was it damage control? What did he see that he was afraid others might see\interpret in a way he didn't like?

Unfortunately in a game where the good gguy specials outnumber the bad guys, it could be the reference to outing oneself.

Re: The Dark Knight - Act 1
Well... it seems no one believes Chaosraven is a bad guy. He is still a suspect, but not one of my top 3 now.
Tru1cy is acting strange - kinda like something that happened in a recent event with someone else. Powered good guy - but playing different to avoid the attention drawn by being silent - - which gets him killed in big crowd games.
Remus West is being his usual self in choosing someone to annoy, in this instance Semaj, and Semaj is rising to the bait. Nothing guilty in either of those actions.
Grund is being Grund setting up a matrix for us, which isn't what he really thinks, but uses to get some reaction from us to determine our actual roles (He might actually think that stuff, but it isn't meant to be taken as an end-all-be-all matrix). bad guy
Mr Bubbles is staying moderately involved as he usually does when a good guy - citizen
Newcastle is dead again.
Brendan is actually more involved which is a good thing, since the last time he wasn't, we offed him. Asking reasonable questions and challenging Grund is always a good thing as it furthers discussion and makes it easier to find the bad guys. good guy citizen
Scoop is being Scoop staying locked on Remus West - as I have done in the past, much to my detriment. Probably a good guy - citizen
Unagi - I can never read this guy, so there is no point in any comments from me on him. But - let's say bad guy, this time.
Lagom Lite - active as usual. He's been both bad and good with this style. Leaning towards good guy.
Lassr - One of the powered good guys, most likely.
theohall - working too many doggone hours (13 today), so don't have time to be involved in the conversations. This is my effort to cover what I've read.
Semaj - see Remus West
Isgrimnur - kinda quiet - bad guy
I know this doesn't account for all the possible good guy combinations, but it does account for 3 bad guys.

Re: The Dark Knight - Act 1
the more you guys point out who you think are special good guys the more I think you must be on the bad team.
I didn't put much stock in Grund calling me Rachel because I know he wouldn't print a road map for the bad guys and post it, but theohall now is stating I'm special...maybe I am special, bad guys can kill me tonight to find out. Are you taking a page out of Grund's strategy book now or was that a serious list?

Theohall committed a blunder. That means he's not thinking things through with the care he showed in the previous game. And that means....Lassr wrote:the more you guys point out who you think are special good guys the more I think you must be on the bad team.

I'm reluctant at this point to switch to tru1cy, just because I don't think an active tru1cy is an evil tru1cy, but [ezmate] it's been a killer week and I haven't had much time to keep up, let alone contribute much [/ezmate], but I'll try to reread everything tonight.

I'm not being quiet because I'm a bad guy, I'm being quiet because there doesn't seem to be any direction in this Day 1 morass. Nobody jumps out at me as tipping their hand, which is the point. This rudderless mass of people isn't making any hard shifts in any direction and I really have nothing to add that I feel would be helpful.
But I love how you see:

I'd probably be playing differently if someone who mattered had assigned me the sniper slot, but they didn't, so I'll fill the role I was given instead, your aspersions notwithstanding.
As for tru1cy, I'm torn about the self-vote thing. Even so, with your vote removal and his self vote, he's only at three that can be counted on. Hardly a groundswell of suspicion.

They'll come around. It's not his self-vote that's suspicious. That's completely normal for tru1cy. What's dodgy is the fact that he opened up a line of analysis on Day 1, when approx. 98% of the time, he instead takes a conservative approach to his vote and points out that Day 1 is a crapshoot. So clearly something is different.

wow, what a slow day 1. I think I'm ready to lynch Remus because somehow this is his fault. Scoop you still trying for the Remus bandwagon? I may jump on board now.
I say we pick a more quiet one that we think could be a bad guy, there's always at least one quiet bad guy hiding in the shadows. tru1cy seems as good a choice as any.

Well since no special scanner has come out I guess we can assume no (living) scanner has identified a bad guy yet. My tru1cy hunch is as good a guess as I can make at this point so I'm keeping my vote where it is for now.

Re: The Dark Knight - Act 1
Meant to say something days ago about CR's Alfred public outing thing.
I am not completely against Alfred publicly outing himself. I am against Alfred publicly outing himself if he has nothing meaningful to contribute. Knowing dead so-and-so was a "citizen" is not meaningful, yet, due to the large number of participants. By not saying anything, we know the dead person was not important. If he discovers an important dead person, by all means, let us know and rely on Gordon to protect him.
Not sure how to handle it if he finds out Gordon is a dead guy though. At that point, it is almost better to stay hidden, then data dump if the lynch train rolls around, unless it is later in our little adventure in Gotham.

See, that's a bandwagon vote.
