All of this ignores the fact that we have to send someone to scout. So if there is a preference within the group as to which is better to sacrifice then we can take a volunteer from that group. If no volunteer steps forward or we can't decide which is better to sacrifice then we return to the best guess at a bad guy system.

Either way volunteer or guess someone is gone. Right now in my mind it is important to give Gandalf time to scan for WK and Uruk. If we do best guess we could kill or expose him. The same goes for Ar. but i feel he isn't as valuable in being able to prove people.

Aragorn hidden allows Gandalf a protected night after he comes forward. After that we need to lynch the old dude since he could be corrupted and we would have no way to be certain. Don't under value the Ranger.

As for discussions about who is more/less valuable today, those a useful in the same manner that vote records are. Since we have no vote records right now we need to rely upon having folks share their thinking.

I also feel your vote for Brendan was perhaps a shot at trying to off someone that's recently shown himself to be quite a sharp player (and by praising him here, I aim to garner his support and vote against Newcastle)

It's your superior intellect that led you to the Newcastle vote.
But I think it's your chiseled features and boyish charm that keep you from putting a vote on Unagi.

Looking at the rulez some more and deciding how best to proceed but something else caught my eye.

The Ring can be passed around as a means of protection from the Servants BUT can it be used for us as a means of identification. Lets say Bubba passes the Ring to someone during the next journey. Then during the next Chapter, the moderator announces that the Ring has passed to the Servants. Then, Bubba announces he passed it to Fruba. Now its possible someone may say they passed it as well but that just helps us track down the Servants. Only if it gets passed to Gollum does this plan not work as well.

Now, I'm not sure if this is actually a useful use of the Ring but its an idea. Thoughts?
Journey sequence of events:

Uncorrupted Ringbearer may pass on the Ring.
Aragorn protects.
Gollum steals.
Witch-King searches.
Witch-King corrupts.
Uruk-Hai hunts.
Gandalf scans.

Chapter sequence of events:

Broadcast:
Which faction (Fellowship, Servants of the Eye, Gollum) controls the One Ring.
Which players are captured by the Uruk-Hai.
Remaining players.
Display ”You may Hunt some Orc” if ”Hunt some Orc” is legal.

Heh - your plan is the fastest way for us to lose. I don't know if I'd be so happy about it. :P

The Ring corrupts any Free Person who gets it, and Hobbits (excepting Frodo) can only get it safely once. Additionally, Hobbits are the only one who can pass it and Gollum (the guy not on our side) is the only one who can steal it back.

Why do you think blind passing is a good idea again?

I thought Free people could receive it on a journey and then pass it at the next chapter.

I didn't see that in the rulez but it looks like under Hobbit Gameplay it says, "Any of the Free People who holds the ring will be corrupted immediately and ally with the Servants of the Eye."

So, please ignore my Plan. :?

Well, in my defense I've spent so much time with my own rulez I haven't really given a good read through to Lagom's game.

Ok, off to the next topic, who do we spend out to scout. Are we worried about hitting and outting a special/hobbit here? Would it make sense to ask each Chapter for one brave Free Person to sacrifice themselves?
