Why should we blindly vote off a player that will perhaps post themselves into trouble? (or, better, out of trouble)
Why is Grund, of all people, prepared to remove Theohall, of all people. I've got Grund on my 'trouble' list for that.
Back to 'my point'.
We should we lynch a person that enjoys to not post. The reasons are clear.

That's not meta-gaming.tru1cy wrote:So we are meta-gaming? I thought that was a faux pas?
Meta-gaming is when you look beyond the game itself to invoke a reason that someone is guilty or innocent.
For instance: If there was a player known to have no internet access while a Kill Order was sent.
Or, using the exact text a moderator sent to the Villagers to prove you are a Villager.
That's meta-gaming.
What I am doing is forecasting a game-style of yours based off a long history of game-style examples you've given us. I'm saying that it's a game-style that you are likely to run with for this game too. I'm saying it's a game-style that will not serve us in the long run, and we may as well trim off a player that has established that game-style.
You seem to think that we are not allowed to consider how players tend to play these games when we consider who we should lynch and who we should 'keep alive'. I don't think that is at all realistic, nor even remotely close to how anyone plays, and hence - it's not even remotely "a faux pas" as you put it.
Grund has a typical shelf-life of 3 nights.... Is that meta-gaming, Tru1cy?
Stessier has a little payback coming to him from Newcastle and triggercut for killing them that one game.... Is that meta-gaming, Tru1cy?
No, it's just playing.

Isn't, "he's acting different than normal" , one of the most fundamental accusations in these games.
And isn't the whole, "ooohhh..... New Player", an exclamation that we will have no 'previous game behavior' to use on this one, and hence - we all use 'previous game behavior'.

sorry
I thought it helped make that sentence more readable. (look man, It's Either Extra Capital Letters, too many commas, or italics, but I just gotta break up the flow... and control the way my words are read! ya dig?)
My comment on Grund's shelf-life (and what I was try to explain in my reply to Remus) that it was just an example of 'previous game' stuff that's always tossed about. I agree that the statement itself is way more myth than reality.

You should really put everything in code. That way, the single space after the period could get annoyed as well.

I don't like Scoop's theory.
Qantaga states he has never been a villain on Day One when there is no reason from him to tell us this. Yes, he could be trying to play us, but it doesn't fit this early. Were he a villian, he probably would never mention this and force us to remember or look it up. This seems to convenient an excuse for Scoop to be using.
My vote stays on the late-comer, Grundbegriff.

The first one - no reason or he is trying to be especially devious - which I haven't seen from Qantaga.... yet.

That seems...odd.theohall wrote:I don't like Scoop's theory.
Also, don't forget, one of the Baddies is Mr. Boom. They can get a 1/2 day ahead of us if he goes off without getting shot (and another 1/2 day if we shoot one of our own - oh wait, Backshot isn't playing - we're fine!).
The first one - no reason or he is trying to be especially devious - which I haven't seen from Qantaga.... yet.
The second one - deflect the attention from himself, since he became a target when slim turned out to be Chaosraven's doppleganger.
Qantaga didn't voluntarily bring up anything. So, theohall, what say you?http://octopusoverlords.com/forum/viewt ... 0#p1679278" target="_blankhttp://octopusoverlords.com/forum/viewt ... 0#p1679445" target="_blankScoop20906 wrote: Postby Scoop20906 » Tue Feb 22, 2011 11:15 am

You know, it's funny, I hadn't thought about this until you posted it.
I have not been a "bad guy" in any OO game so far. In 8 GT games, I have only been a wolf once. I suppose that I am just naturally "good."
As for this game, the trend continues, I am as pure as the driven snow in service to Her Majesty.
As for my vote, the forces of evil would know me to be innocent, thus it is likely that
Scoop
is evil!
(A rather blatant Triggercut-ism on my part).

Re: Bond II - The Prometheus Dawn -Chapter 1
So, if I follow your logic correctly Theohall, the use of logic this early in the game is the doings of evil?theohall wrote:It is the first day. I find it odd that Scoop is trying to use logic this early. Ask yourself - why would Qanataga voluntarily bring up he has never been a bad guy on OO?? And then ask - why is Scoop jumping on it?
