I would have chosen "memorable" rather than spectacular but to each his own.Scoop20906 wrote:I am spectacular, aren't I?Remus West wrote:He also once claimed to be the protector, got shot by the hunter and died human thus getting us to lynch the true protector.Unagi wrote:Qantaga,
I wouldn't really sweat it when Scoop says that you shouldn't say things like 'certainty' when you aren't actually 100% lock-daddy-down-in-the-basement-certain.
Scoop has claimed, as a Villager, to be a Seer with a Wolf-Scan against.... another villager, if I recall correctly. (didn't he do that? or wait - no He, as a Villager, Counter-Claimed the true Seer.... that was it...)
Or at the very least, Scoop does like to insist he is certain when he's actually just as much in the dark as everyone else.
Anyway, all that adds up to me not worrying about you when you are acting all erratic and strange. When you appeal to logic and make sense doing it then I worry. Right now you are pushing for a lynched based mostly off the idea that random generators have a memory. I'm not worried that much about you. Which is probably a bit shocking given my vote. I'm still going to leave it there for a bit though.

Btw, Qantaga reached n-1 and wasn't pushed over... Does that strike anyone as odd? If he was innocent as he claimed then a baddies should have jumped on, imo. Anyway, I will watch how the winds blows, but I like where my vote is located at the moment

Hmmm. Looks like a dead spot so I will go into campaign mode in and effort to breath life back into the game.
Unagi, chaosraven, RMC and Lassr, are you will to join the Qantaga bandwagon to get him to 6?
Without a special announcing, he is just a good a candidate any other today.
Also, I am willing to listen to other viewpoints if it leads to a consensus.

You got to kill your little Theohall yesterday.
You were wrong.
How about today, you give some other people a chance to test their theories. Since, you know - you (and Grund) had your chance, and you were (both horribly and predictably) wrong.
How about today, you help lynch Grund. or tru1cy.
How about that?
Why does it always have to be about your hunch?

Has there ever been a vote RMC didn't like? Noobie participation - or something more sinister?
I could see Grund. I still like tru1cy, but it is clearly going nowhere - which is kind of interesting in and of itself.
I am getting curious about Msteelers. Remus called him out and his response has been - a coma?
I'll try to pull the voting histories together during lunch. 13 hours experiment with a 18 run DOE has really put a crimp in my "free" work time.

Pointing out I was third on both votes was calling me out? I guess I didn't feel threatened enough to respond. With so little participation, I feel like I have nothing to add to the conversation. I don't have a strong read on anybody at this point. I find the reasoning against tru1cy to be weaksauce. "He's too quiet. OMG he posted twice! Guilty!" Qantaga seemed like a good enough vote simply because of the connection someone made between rshetts2 and the WW games over at GT, which I know Qantaga is an active participant in. That train ran out of steam, so I'm going to move my vote simply because this thing needs to start moving at something other than a glacial pace.stessier wrote:I am getting curious about Msteelers. Yes, there were Virginia, once upon a time the vote was open to all sorts of weird goings on. As long as it was before the Game Mod announced a closing. Recent history has been majority locks it in, not sure it is assumed these days.

It would be interesting to try that again sometime though. See people walk the razor's edge. Be really funny with a Mod who was invisible.

Re: Bond II - The Prometheus Dawn -Chapter 2
Interlude 2 – Fire on the water, smoke in the sky
It was quiet, dead quiet, no one was saying a word. The choppers blade’s thumping was the only sound, as no one spoke and kept their own counsel.
Qantaga focused his binoculars and the image came into focus. Steaming away was the ship responsible for last night’s assault. He stood there watching it for minutes as it rapidly grew in size, he spoke in his headset, “Got a visual, should be there in no more than five minutes.”
Msteeler started checking his gear, and readying his weapons. They’d have to work fast to overcome any opposition on the boat.
“Radars jammed, and we’re coming in from the sun, they won’t spot us until we’re right on top of them” RMC shouted into the head set. “We’re live in 5….4….3….2….1….”
The Chopper then swooped in as Grundbegriff let loose a long stream of covering fire. The heavy machine gun in hand spitting out bullets that left pockmarks all along the length of the ship. Chomping on a cigar, his face was pure delight in the mayhem he was spreading.
Truicy & Remus were the first off the chopper. They ran to the across the deck of the ship firing as they spearheaded the assault. Behind them the rest of the team flooded out of the chopper. The teams leapfrogged each other, calling out “clear” & “cover“ at various intervals. No resistance was found.
Lassr & Stessier had made their way to the bridge, its door shut tight. With hand signals the two communicated, Lassr set a quick charge on the door, and blasted it open. The two burst in to the bridge, weapons level ready to fire. The bridge was empty.
“We got an empty bridge here.” Stessier, and paused as he studied the bridge controls,” and this isn’t a joke, but this thing is on a crash course to Antartica.”. The rest of the team reported back: there was no resistance, the ship was completely empty.
Just then Chaosraven & Unagi had made their way to the hull. They both recognized the piece of machinery before them. Chaosraven couldn’t help but marvel at the piece of engineering that that had punched the hole into the Alexander. Unagi whipped out a Geiger counter and started sweeping the area, the counter started emitting a long series of beeps. “The nuke stuff was here. But it’s long gone. They moved it.”
Scoop them and walked to the other side of the drill, and there before him stood a sight that froze him: on a giant pallet sitting a precious few feet from the ship’s fuel supply was a batch of C4, sitting on it was the tracker that Truicy had shot on to the boat. He clicked into the radio, “We got a problem guys. There’s a stack of explosives here.”
“Don’t TOUCH A THING!” Grundbegriff shouted into the headset “On my way,” then ran down the ships halls and burst into the hull, and saw his team mates squatting over the explosives.
“Get top side, all of you, get everyone get top side.” Grundbegriff said. They hesitated. “Look the mission cant fail. I get that ok. I’m the best at bomb disposal. If I screw up, its only me who eats it. But if we lose you guys here, the missions done. There’s a mad man with nukes out there, you die, he wins, the world loses. I got this! GO! ” Reluctantly his team mates went topside, leaving Grundbegriff with the bomb.
Once alone, Grundbegriff took a deep breath and calmly started to inspect the device; noting the wirings, the model, the explosives type. He recalled back on his training and calmly he assessed the situation. He was looking for triggers, for pressure plates; every bit of information was crucial in solving the puzzle of the bomb.
Then he got to work; moving a wire here, snipping a connection there, then rethreading a connection. Quickly and efficiently he worked. Finally he thought he got it, and with snap, he cut what he thought was the last wire. Then a voice sounded from the freighters speakers, “Congratulations agents, you have found the freighter and my little present to you. …..”
As the voice continued a feeling of dread came over Grundbegriff, he knew the bomb was going, and he knew that he only had seconds left. Just maybe he could prevent it from being bigger. His eyes traced the wire he’d just snipped and followed it. He lunged toward it, wire cutters in hand.
BOOOM! The explosion rocked the boat as flames shot out of the hold. The ship listed dangerously to one side. The team had seconds to spare, and jumped into the chopper. All were realizing that Grundbegriff had died A LOYAL DEATH AS A M16 AGENT.
