In Thrawn's description, should he protect the Emperor, he and Thrawn get to communicate off-thread. Conclusion: this is the only off-thread communication available to the Goodguys. True? False?
True, they can communicate in a special forum created just for them. There they can coordinate their efforts.
triggercut wrote:In Mara's description, should she be "turned" by Luke, she gains access to the Rebel forums upon joining that team. Conclusion: the Rebels may communicate freely off-thread and coordinate. True? False?
True again. The rebels can communicate in a seperate forum. If Mara is turned by Luke, then she will join the Rebels on the Rebel forum. If found by the Emperor first, then she will stay an Imperial.
That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad.

Look at me actually trying to read a few rules before getting too deep in the game...

... And Mara can kill someone and announce her kill first. That's a whole lot of killing. Of course Mara would then commit to being discovered either by Luke or the Emperor if he is the game. Can we assume the emperor is in the game? If so then he scans before Luke.

If Mara exists then a lot depends on her and she is much more likely to be found by the rebels first and the Emperor has 20 to field from and Luke likely only has 13.

Does it benefit us to try for a killing spree and out a bunch of good loyal members of the empire or is it better to hold for discoveries and trust (or try to define) that people aren't lying about those discoveries?

Coming out and expecting to live is a mistake until we can somehow confirm Han has used his power.

Waiting to last minute lynch will be a mistake, on the chance that Lando is in the game. He's a great faux target for the rebels to go after buying them a night kill.

bb, can we assume the Chewbacca can only rend someone who vote on him and not that a rebel can vote on him and he can choose to kill anyone?

God I hope so otherwise the rebels are sitting way too pretty.

I'll try to check in more today and possibly tomorrow before I leave. I may even try to read the rules again.

Sorry if I was not clear. The Emperor is the one role that is guaranteed to be in the game. Everyone else is random.

Chewbacca can rend anyone he wants as long as there is at least one Imperial vote on him.

You might have been very clear. I miss details and it sometimes takes many readings to not gloss over something unless things are spelled out old Avalon Hill lawyerese style.

Good (or um bad) to know. Sorry guys. I'm likely to sit out and cower in a corner for the game day unless there is a clear direction for me to follow before I leave tomorrow. :(

Aye. A very happy 4th to all.

Some early observations:

1. Lassr:

Lassr wanted to lynch me at the start of Day 1 in the first Bond game where he was evil and I was good. Coincidence? Or an evil Lassr mindframe in play again?

2. Chaosraven:
Remus West wrote:Chaosraven who reminded me that he hooked up with Erin many years before I did

That sounds like something only a rebellious cad would do. One in particular springs to mind:

3. LordMortis:
LordMortis wrote:I'm likely to sit out and cower in a corner for the game day

Cowering in a corner is hardly the behaviour of a good and true servant of the Emperor.

There seems to be a lot of un-Imperial thinking going on in this corner of the galaxy.

However, since all of these have checked in, let's see what  tru1cy

Finally got a chance to read through the intro write up. Nicely put together. :)

coopasonic eyed the others in the room trying to clear the fog in his brain and remember who any of these people were. There was one seven feet tall, covered in fur and looking particularly aggressive. He decided to look elsewhere. The trashcan on wheels looked interesting. coopasonic's instincts honed by years of imperial training were confusing him more than helping him. He decided the good guys dressed better and pointed to a guy that looked to be wearing second hand homespun pajamas, but looked more attentive than the rest.

To = part of verb or a location designator.

Bascially, if you say the sentence and can replace your the word with "also", then use too.
