Perhaps because CR is a rebel so the rebels aren't too excited to jump on that train. Of course the fact that we only have 8 votes when there are at least 12 imperials and we ought to get a couple rebels on there just for cover makes it seem like we should be able to get the votes on CR anyway. If anything, having a hard time getting the votes makes me even more suspicious of CR. I imagine a miss would be much easier.
You just recycled Remus's point on the Scoop vote, but put applied it to the CR vote.

CR gave us a reason to vote and stay.

Scoop is a better choice. He's already said he's not a Special, so no threat in outing anyone. And he's proving tough to lynch. Move your votes to Scoop.
Scoop *flew* to N-1. He didn't prove tough to lynch, there's just no good justification for lynching him.
Um - he's alive. He ain't lynched. Ergo, he's proving tough to lynch.

pretty much thursday was jacked up....my post of noticign the off times...should be about 7 -10 posts later. i dont think it affects following the game...since i was following the game during that period. Nothing eaerthshattering as far as i can tell. The main thing is that the train zoomed up on scoop...and then he unleashed darth bieber which gave the train super turbo boosts.
You misunderstand - I read pages 11-13 before reading 6-11. So I saw the kerfluffle over Chaos before reading, in context, what Chaos said and forming my own opinion on it.

By "the way the voting has gone against him" are you referring to the whole Yoda debate? Or is there something else about the voting that you find suspicious?

edit: fixing broken quote tags.
I could care less about the tiny window that Yoda had to cast his vote in. I do not agree with triggercut that Yoda would have already asked about presetting his order but even if I did that would just make Scoop look even more like a Rebel. What I am talking about is the way the voting against him stalled out. It will be very hard to get to 11 votes on anyone that is Rebel today since the other Rebels will likely not be very interested in helping that process. Seems we got close on Scoop and folks bailed. Seems to me that screams Scoop is a Rebel. It also means if he comes up Rebel the folks who jumped ship become VERY interesting.
Remuscide strikes again.

Hey, if you wanna run me up the flagpole, bring it. It'll make for some very interesting vote analysis that reveals a whole batch of Rebels and/or a whole lot of dense Empire players and we'll just need to sort who belongs in which pile.
You do realize that by saying that you are claiming you know for 100% certain that neither Scoop NOR I are Rebels. I would give you the Scoop thing since you keep saying you think him Empire but you have just claimed me Empire. Only one way for you to be certain of that. You just gave me reason to move my vote as though you were not already high on my list. You want a slip. There is a slip.

It is a slip of an entirely different kind, actually.

I have zero doubt that the Rebels caught something that I accidentally gave away much earlier. I all but told the thread what faction I was and whether or not I have a role and what that role is.

You're either a Rebel and you've been discussing it for a few days...but I doubt that. Your play hasn't been sharp enough to suggest that.

So therefore I'm assuming you're Empire. Perhaps I've just given you too much credit.

Yeah, but it actually makes sense on CR. We didn't lynch scoop because the intent wasn't to lynch scoop, the intent was to go to N-1 and make him squeal. Most of the votes on scoop were because there was nobody else standing out. Now CR stands out.

No, um, the intent was to lynch a rebel or if not, just a royal guard. The intent wasn't 'to make him squeal'.

If the point is to see if someone will squeal, shouldn't we at least give Chaosraven a chance to login and squeal before switching to someone else??

I understand the logic on triggercut, but I also understand the logic on CR. triggercut has all but squealed already with pretty much noone but Unagi and Remus West testing his patience.

It's not Remuscide if Remus is a rebel.

At this point I can vote Scoop, trigger or Chaos. Less enthusiastic about a Chaos vote than the other 2. I just know I do not want to waste the opportunity to get a lynch and some info before the deadline.

I've more or less given up on Day 1. Get somebody to N-1 and I'll finish em off. I'd hate for it to be Trig because the assault on him appears to be completely manufactured, but I think at least half of what is said here is completely misread. I can understand that as I've acted/spoken on misreadings at least a couple times already. Unagi confuses me. I'll freely admit that. ;)

Of course Lassr.

Very early on he gets called out: "A helpful Lassr is an evil Lassr" and Lassr stops being analytical and becomes taciturn going forward and is one of the first on the Scooptrain (which was stalled at two votes--Unagi and I--for a day or two) when that snowballed and is now looking for a new train.

I haven't agreed with nearly anything Trig has said but he's keeping at least some people talking. My vote is not likely to go there, if he's a rebel he'll hang himself.

CR has elected not to defend himself. I'd put him down.

However, I missed where Scoop said he's part of Royal Guard. If he did say that, then I'd like to say my confidence that he is a rebel is way up there. That or I fear our emperor is in a shit ton of trouble and surrounded by assholes. I'm more inclined to believe Tru1cy's not subtle claim and as more of us try to fit in this guard I'm thinking not so much.

No, I'm going to pass on the triggercut train if that's all there is. The "remuscide" thing would make some semblance of sense if triggercut were accusing Remus (or Scoop) of being a rebel. But he's accusing him (unless I'm missing something) of being a misguided imperial. Isn't that perfectly consistent with remuscide?

More generally, trig is being generally helpful and mostly logical from what I can tell, even if I don't agree with everything (and his posts are sometimes...strange and offputting somehow). I'm not saying I'm sure he's imperial, but I'm not sold on lynching him.

I'm fine with chaos (my vote's still there), and could also do Scoop. I could also be sold on tru1cy or KK.

Sure is... Of course, you should then wonder why it is that triggercut graces Remus with "misguided" and not "rebel"...

Evening Gents. Just caught.

BB, I think the theme for your game is no longer Star Wars but has changed to the "Twilight Zone".

People are all over the friggin place.

Ok, I'm going to do my best to summarize some of the vote options for us:

Scoop20906 - I feel like my past actions and play has boomeranged on me this game. The lynch mod has been on me from the moment the game started and some people just can't let it go. I guess the best term for my WW Rep now is "You broke it, You bought it.". Even the most diehard of my accusers Remus West admits that:
Remus West wrote:The run up on Scoop was pretty much a lark. The stall out and bail to what seemed to be any other remotely interesting target is what convinced me.
Yes, the bandwagon was a lark alright. The stall and bail? I'm pretty sure that the only players that investigated other remotely interesting targets were empire and that the ones that are clinging to me like KLINGONS (lets use are the sci fi cliches) are probably the rebs. There is rebel gold in that thar bandwagon list for tomorrow.

Chaosraven - Chaos had his "slip" and several votes popped quickly on him. Then the next morning Chaos suddenly has a new target, ME. And his reason? I characterized KK as "Peppy". Seriously? After I saw this post I saw some panic in his play. Chaos needs to be tested. If he turns up Rebel I think we have a nice chain of events that will lead us to more Rebs. WE WILL ROOT THESE REBELS OUT!

Triggercut - I stated back when triggercut was still the first vote on me that I have him in my trusted category. All of his actions show me a empire player hard at work attempting to root out rebels and he is knows that to do that you need to break some eggs and take some chances. I won't vote triggercut today under any circumstances.

So that leads to the silents of tru1cy and Kenetickid. A couple people have mentioned voting for one of these two. Yeah, I could join a vote on a silent (I share Unagi's passion for this) however I'd probably just vote for Kenetickid today and not tru1cy.

I've made my vote for chaosraven and although there are several of you that deserve to be tested that I haven't listed here I believe chaos is the best option for Day One and my vote is staying there.

(I've learned the re-posted vote from you Unagi. :) )

Lastly, I've read everyone's posts regarding me and clearly there is one among you who understands the pain I've felt today. I'm just not sure how I feel about his alignment at this time.

I can definitely vote for a silent?

I want a lynch tomorrow, we need info.

In fact KK was on my short list earlier. Anyone want to vote for KK?
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

But he's accusing him (unless I'm missing something) of being a misguided imperial. Isn't that perfectly consistent with remuscide?
Sure is... Of course, you should then wonder why it is that triggercut graces Remus with "misguided" and not "rebel"...

I do believe that's the point at play here...
No it isn't. Remuscide only applies if you know the person (me) is a good guy (well, Empire in this case) and leading the group after another good guy. By saying it is Remuscide triggercut is saying that he KNOWS I am Empire and KNOWS that Scoop is also Empire. Nobody from the Empire currently knows anything regarding anyone else from the Empire. Only the Rebels know which side is which.

That said, I'll likely switch back to Scoop as I doubt we get enough votes to lynch triggercut so I may as well go with the guy I think is a Rebel and has more votes.

No, I'm saying I think you're Empire and just screwing up, Remus.

Hey Pot? This is Kettle calling.
"Where are you off to?"
"I don't know," Snufkin replied.

Doesn't seem to be much point. The Blind Mob has decided for itself that their interpretation of what I called for is what I was trying to do.

So fuck 'em.

Here's my deal. You guys are stupid enough to believe I would make a Slip of that Magnitude? Vote me off. *AFTER* N is reached I will tell you how stupid you were and you can work out for yourselves, if I make it in time before the writeup.

Chaos, my vote for you is more based off how you seemed to react to your bandwagon by trying to shift attention off yourself and back to me based on my "Peppy" comment. To me that was more damning than your original poor idea and then wording slip. I expected you to at least try to defend yourself but instead it seems you took the "fuck em" route of defense. What do you expect us to do when you go silent? I'd much rather hear what you have to say BEFORE you get lynched rather then after. I still feel you are the best person to test today but I'd like to hear what you have to say now.

And its interesting to hear someone else refer to the Blind Mob after watching my "Lark" bandwagon jump all over me for the innocuous stuff (A bad avatar and a Peppy comment) and hear one person's reason for their vote being that if I was good he would still rather I was dead because of my "constant mistakes" instead of actually trying to kill a reb. Its all in perspective I guess.

Anyway, its off to work. Since we are close to the deadline I will try to monitor the game from work with my iphone and then see you guys tonight.
