Hey someone else read the intro text!El Guapo wrote:Also, are we all so dense that we really can't figure out who the rebel droid is?
Second, shouldn't R2D2 be unaffected by the gas, being a robot and all? Wouldn't he start with knowledge of who the emperor is?
These are good questions, and it makes me think that either Scoop or Chaosraven (the Emperor) is going to come back dead. If it's KK, it is odd that they'd use the ability on him. Would probably indicate that whoever is not the emperor is R2, and wanted to be sure to use it when he had a chance due to a high risk of getting lynched first otherwise.stessier wrote:If that is what happened, why do you think they were posting? Why not go invisible and just monitor things until you can pounce?El Guapo wrote:Also I'd strongly suspect that our R2 and Yoda would be amongst the people actively posting this morning / afternoon. It seems improbable that they'd be confident enough yesterday or the start of the day in a KK train developing to cast their ironclad votes for him. Which would include me as a suspect, but what can you do.
If it really was R2D2 though, it doesn't make much sense. Neither Chaos nor Scoop were vulnerable very long at all and KK is just a random. Now, admittedly, everyone has a random, but I would think the Rebels would be more responsible this early in the game.
Sorry for causing confusion. Had been discussing Colby and his "Swamp People"-esque family on another board when Theo said something to the effect of believing me to be Empire, expressing a little doubt about CR...and then voting for me. I was puzzled by that play and so in the way that I do things in these games (which is setting the volume knob to 11 a lot of the time!) I invoked Colby for theo in an attempt to keep the bandwagon at bay and allow me to keep my role as under wraps as possible going forward.Isgrimnur wrote:OK. Is there anything that stands out that I might have heard of or that is particularly representative or damning.theohall wrote:For all of his talent as a baseball player, he acts like a complete idiot most of the time.Isgrimnur wrote:And yet I still have no reason why his name was invoked.
IF KK is the lynch, since he apparently only hit seven votes, then Yoda and R2 must have used their abilities for him to be the lynch. Or Dooku / R2 I suppose, but I'm not sure why Dooku would do that.triggercut wrote:So we're saying that both Yoda and R2 fired away on KK as a possibility?
Yuck.
I don't think you'd look good in a red helmet and spandex anyway. I hope this doesn't get you some Rebel attention this evening.triggercut wrote:I was puzzled by that play and so in the way that I do things in these games (which is setting the volume knob to 11 a lot of the time!) No point in stopping the speculation train until bb comes back with what the hell happened. I'm really tempted to go back and assemble a complete vote timeline from bb's last update, but I'm afraid I would miss the reveal.El Guapo wrote:Ok, NOW I'm done speculating.
Little longer than that. stessier with first vote at 12 pm or so, then a string of 6 more visible votes in 30 minutes.triggercut wrote:If KK is our lynch, train formed in less than 20 minutes.
If he comes back Empire, those of you on that train are in for some scrutiny.
Or he's plausibly faking that. I think he's probably empire and so not, but there is that possibility.Unagi wrote:One thing is totally clear: triggercut has absolutely no idea who was just voted over.
I think you are being too obvious. The normal "blind" reply right now is to wait for the bb2112 before making 20 posts about:triggercut wrote:Little longer than that. stessier with first vote at 12 pm or so, then a string of 6 more visible votes in 30 minutes.triggercut wrote:If KK is our lynch, train formed in less than 20 minutes.

Just pre-empting a night turn, since I don't know how long it'll be and I'm pretty sure I'll be dead tonight.Unagi wrote:I think you are being too obvious. If it's Scooop a/b/c/d
If it's Chaos a/b/c/d
If it's KK a/b/c/d
But, don't let me stop you.
I don't see how it could be anything but chaos, but I suppose I could be missing the time line with scoop. The thing is if it's scoop, how the hell did they screw up coordination bad enough to get raven to plea that he was the emperor before deciding to off scoop. It has to be raven in my mind and that puts a number of people, myself included, in a very bad, holding the cookie jar, just short of fingers in it, way.El Guapo wrote:If KK is the lynch, he *has* to come back empire. R2 has to have been involved due to the vote totals. R2's not going to use his ability if KK is rebel. But yeah, like I was saying, I think it has to be someone involved today if KK comes back dead, and so probably someone on the KK train.
My suspicion is that Chaos or Scoop's going to come back dead, since killing the emperor seems like a worthy use of R2's ability.
This is what I have, scoop and CR both outed at 9 then KK reached 7. KK would require a double secret vote to lynch, Scoop or CR just require R2.triggercut wrote:I believe that when LordMortis jumped (briefly) onto the Chaosraven train, he put him at 9 votes.
So yeah, could be...any of them.
triggercut wrote:coop, I withdrew on CR on his reveal. I think LM's vote put him at 8, not 9.
Checking?
Did I actually say that?triggercut wrote:As Unagi sagely points out...WHOMEVER the target is, it'll be Empire.
I thought your comment about me not knowing who the heck was gonna get it referenced that.Unagi wrote:Did I actually say that?triggercut wrote:As Unagi sagely points out...WHOMEVER the target is, it'll be Empire.
I mean... It's true - and it's sage (and obvious, as well), but - I just don't remember saying it.

Ah, ok. So both of our Emperors went to 9 between bb posts.coopasonic wrote:triggercut wrote:coop, I withdrew on CR on his reveal. I think LM's vote put him at 8, not 9.

lm vote: Wed Jul 13, 2011 11:44 am
cr reveal: Wed Jul 13, 2011 11:48 am
trig withdraw: Wed Jul 13, 2011 11:49 am
lm's vote came before the reveal, bumping him up to 9. then you backed off dropping him to 8.
This is Unagi referencing the end result of a lynch? Maybe you really do read more into things than I do.Unagi wrote:One thing is totally clear: triggercut has absolutely no idea who was just voted over.

I'll even go so far as to say whoever was voted out was empire and even claimed to be the emperor.Unagi wrote:Did I actually say that?triggercut wrote:As Unagi sagely points out...WHOMEVER the target is, it'll be Empire.
