does no one else see that as a perfect plan?
No. It is a horribly flawed and convoluted plan.

That plan assumes that the Rebels feel that they can trade players with the empire 1:1. I do not think they can do that.

BTW--odds that Remus was stunned today because he's Thrawn or Rukh and was the subject of the Night 2 scan by the Rebels?

Newcastle I've never seen you go the woe is me route. I don't think it's feasible to leave El Guapo or Newcastle alive today to see what the Rebels will do as they will most likely leave them alive.

Thrawn's a protector, no? What possible reason would there be to silence someone during the day when their power is night only?

I'll always admit that Remus is a good target for scans/death, etc, and it wouldn't surprise me to learn that he was an early scan target.

Silencing Remus is right up there with silencing Grund (usually) but it makes no game-sense to silence a night protector role.

Now if he were known as Rukh, and they feared his shot, sure.
It's almost as if people are the problem.

It makes sense if you're planning to spoof his role during the daytime and kill him at night.

26 minutes from the time El Guapo outs himself to the mod reading/posting Leia's silence. Is that really time for the rebs to discuss and respond to Guapo's accuse especially early morning?

It is if:

1. They knew that Newcastle was likely to swing today anyway, and so
2. They were going to need to spoof a role.

It *really* doesn't matter.

Newcastle is a rebel. Starting to think you might be, too.

I'm just an uninformed n00b trying to figure this stuff out. I've learned my lesson from CR and am no longer pushing other people to vote, but exploring theories and trying to participate in the process sometime playing devil's advocate.

This time I see a real possibility of a grand scheme. If I'm wrong, so be it. Hang me. I just want to make sure we look at all sides before repeating our mistake.

Yeah, I'm confident that the reason they used Leia's ability right after I outed her is that at that point they were at risk of losing the ability if they didn't. As soon as I posted, Vader or another shooter could've taken her out at any second.

As to why Remus, there are a number of other explanations. Maybe it's because Remus is a good player and they wanted to silence him. Maybe it's because they scanned him and he's a shooter (that could take out Newcastle). Maybe he's Thrawn/Rukh and they had previously talked about having Newcastle pose as Thrawn. Maybe it's just a convenient target, and they didn't have time to fully discuss it (again, Newcastle could've been shot at any time).

As Trig says, doesn't really matter. Obviously I know the truth anyways, but I think Leia's ability getting used as soon as Leia is put in danger is a pretty good confirmation of my Leia accusation (more plausible than Newcastle's elaborate conspiracy, anyhow). But then, I report, you decide.

And it's color coded! Nice work, Lord Vader.

I'm pretty much on board with your list, except that I'd bump LM up a bit (he seems logical and sensible, though I'm not certain of him). Probably bump coop a bit down towards the red list. Don't have particularly strong readings myself on RMC or Mr. Bubbles, other than them being generally silent, though I should go back and do a read-through on what they've posted (grumble grumble).

I just feel it's curious that Newcastle has totally Ignored Triggercut and my requests to make this day about RMC, don't you?

Wouldn't you, if you were a Busted Leia about to be tossed into the proverbial sarlacc pit, wouldn't you say - "OK, let's test your RMC, and we will see about tonight".

He could proclaim he self protected (and let you live). This is exactly what Newcastle himself is asking for us to do, but he isn't even replying to:
Unagi wrote:

Newc, care to join me in a vote for:

So, I'd sorta like to go back to this idea.
 RMC

Why isn't he? Wouldn't that Save the Protector? So, I know you are on board his being a Rebel, but why is it you don't think that it's interesting that the choice we (Trig and I) presented him isn't being taken.

But the case against RMC begins before that. Primarily it's the manner in which he didn't vote for Scoop and the manner in which he did vote for CR, and the comments he's made, etc.

Regarding LM. I have swung back and forth on him a bit this game. I keep landing on 'no, he kept pushing for Scoop', but then I keep remembering he really thought we should perhaps Shoot Scoop (Han), and he even pointed out how Greedo should be the one to do it. That could be a totally coincidental event, and meaningless - but none-the-less, it keeps bugging me. Add to that, not the timing so much as just the fact that he took any part in that CR vote (which just really seemed so horrible to me, but - clearly Triggercut was all over it, innocently - so I can't really condemn LM for that either.) So, yeah - LM is a wish-washy subject for me this game. If he is a Rebel, he's been pretty ballsy. I don't think that's generally his style. Perhaps we are basically in agreement on LM then, but I can't really write him off. I think he's 7th on my list (bottom - up), which puts him as Rebel#9 to me. (Ha! perhaps he is Mara)
