Boardgame interest, A Game of Thrones + expansions
Just checking to see if there's some interest in playing the A Game of Thrones boardgame with expansions after my BSG Boardgames are done with.

Having followed your BSG boardgames with great interest, I know it would be a lot of fun. I would love to play.

I have the basic but since nobody around here will play it with me I never bothered to get the expansions. I'd need to read the rules of the expansions but other than that I'd love to play.

I would to give it a whirl. I also am a noob though.
That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad.

I'd be interested. Would I need to buy the game first?

I've never played the game, but I would be up for it as well, if there's room.

I guess you can put me on the list at spot #10, hehe. Like Remus, I own the original game and one of the expansions, but my local gaming friends were not interested in playing it. Of course, now that they are watching the HBO series, there is a chance that interest can be rekindled.

I thought allya'll loved the game but me. You just need to play on a day I'm not coming out or declare that's what you are playing ahead of time, so I know not to come out and poo poo the idea when I get there. Also I thought Jow as like the game so you could hook up with his group, I'd guess.Remus West wrote:I have the basic but since nobody around here will play it with me I never bothered to get the expansions. I've never played but being a fan of the LCG, the interest has always been there. I just keep reading that the game really needs the second expansion (Storm of Swords) to shine so I've held off. I'd play it for sure, Steve.
(and for the purposes of this thread, it looks like I missed out on the forum game, but consider me for a later game if it happens)

Never played the game.
Never played any forum game.

Re: Boardgame interest, A Game of Thrones + expansions
interesting - FFG is releasing a "second edition" of this game, releasing late 2011. From their website:
The updated second edition brings a host of enhancements to your A Game of Thrones experience. It incorporates elements from previous expansions, including ports, garrisons, Wildling cards, and Siege engines, while introducing welcome new innovations. Convenient player screens will hide your underhanded dealings from prying eyes, while new Tides of Battle cards convey the uncertainty of war. This, along with updated graphics and a clarified ruleset, means the time has never been better to claim the Iron Throne.
I've never played the original so have no context for the changes, but this'll probably be my excuse to finally pick this up.
