I am having the best time Fishing on Ebay. I put up a game that I could sell or keep, doesn't matter too much to me (listing is free for my first fifty items each month)... And I have been raising the price each day. I wonder if any of those people watching the item will get nervous and jump on it near the end, when they could have had it for 200 less when it was first posted.
"Where are you off to?"
"I don't know," Snufkin replied.
The door shut again and Snufkin entered his forest, with a hundred miles of silence ahead of him.

I never heard of Amanda Palmer before, and now that I have sampled a bit, I hope I never hear any of her again.

Awesomesauce. One of my big regrets was not being able to see the Dresden Dolls live :( I'm still hopeful that it'll happen. Brian and her can't seem to stay apart for very long. Another regret was not having the balls to drive down to Boston by myself to see a private concert/test session I got passes for last year. Still kicking myself.

I wasn't sure when she went solo and teamed up with Ben Folds but one listen to Astronaut, Ampersand, Runs in the Family and the rest of the album brought a freaking smile to my face. Beautiful stuff.

The DD stuff I love because it's so basic and raw.

While I dislike doing someone else's job, I will do it for the sake of getting shit done. However, I don't care if you are the face of the customer. After three months of you not doing your job and not being responsive to my requests, after I've been told flat out by your vendor that they will only work with you (as it should be) and me informing you of this fact on multiple occasions, you are not going to blame our missing the deadline on me. Or not successfully anyway. I've got about 40 emails worth a paper trail on my end. A few of which you actually acknowledged.

Why did I just buy three cans of compressed air when the folks gave me an air compressor for my birthday?

And while I appreciate that it's a severe issue for a lot of people, do you really need to mark my lunchmeat as "gluten free"? Is my turkey pastrami being substituted with free range, wheat turkeys?

Same reason to label fruit juice fat-free, or vegetable oil as containing neither saturated nor hydrogenated fats. See the Weight of the Nation thread. Most people don't have a %*(^@%^!@! clue what any of those words actually mean.

Tempted to point you at a wiki page so you can start researching why they sometimes use gluten in meats but I figure Izzy will be along any moment to give you a bunch of links on Gluten (and specifically wheat gluten)

LiveStrong
Meat sources of gluten include self-basting poultry, imitation bacon or seafood, luncheon meats, hot dogs, sausage, crab cakes, meatballs, meatloaf and processed or imitation meats. Many of these meat products contain added ingredients or fillers that include wheat gluten. Textured vegetable protein is used in many meat substitutes and that contain wheat as well.

Finally have my MtG and Xcom shelf constructed.

Holds all my Magic Cards, either in Boxed Sets or Decks ready to play.
Also holds my Monitor etc for the old PC with X Com (and TFTD).

PITA but I finally have it all together.

Reminds me that I've been meaning to build a set of shelves over my desk to hold all of my old game manuals, books, and a few game pieces I don't want to part with. I might also make space to include some of the old D&D collecting dust in a box.

I am in an awful mood. Have been for almost 2 weeks now. It's chemical, but man, so angry. About everything. All the time.

I wish I had a cabin in the woods where I could just hide out for awhile.

I don't want to chew anyone's face off, and the best way to prevent that from happening is keeping your face away from me.

Typing this post has made me angry(ier).

I had a robocall from a politician last night at 9:55pm, asking me to vote for him today. Coincidentally I also found out that the USPS will not ship a box filled with dog feces to a state government office.

Sure they will - you just have to be a little creative. Mark it as a "Campaign contribution" and it will get through every time.

Me too. I'm not sure what the root of the issue is but I have been angry about almost everything for weeks now. It truely sucks.

I've been running a project the last few weeks that has really ratcheted up the tension levels. The non-stop stress has got me so wound up that I don't feel like doing anything at all but at the same time I'm so amped up that I'm jittery and restless.

Which is a bad combination resulting in me not wanting to do anything but unable to sit still.

Dear New Guy at the Gym,

Playing the TV at maximum volume is considered bad form anyways, but 5:30am is much too early to have to listen to whoever that shrieking harpy on Fox News is. Crank it down a notch or two, m'kay?
