I don't think any of that matters unless someone pulls a vote off of LL.

And then my vote still goes to RMC first.

hey, who knows, maybe dooku or vader screwed the pooch and sent the order to grund instead.

exactly, or to "choke Mr Bubbles".

nothing matters unless Mr B moves anyhow - and then it looks like LM wants to argue 'who' to lynch.

mr b "be obtuse". And if LM wants to split the vote on imps and we can argue until deadline I would be ok with that.

Nope. Just my preference. In the meantime I wait to see what happens with say LL's vote or Theo's vote to see if anyone pulls a vote off LL. It's all sort of moot until that happens.

If there is not.. There were several people (myself included) who did not help the good guys. I could have sworn that Chaos was evil. He just didn't play like a rebel to me.

If LL lives through a five person pile on why would I jump on as rebel onto another pile on without gaining a better understanding?

Everyone is sitting around the breakfast table eating their curds and whey when suddenly Remus West,

RMC,

and Isgrimnur

stand up and point their blasters at the rest of you sitting at the table.

Remus West announces, “I think it is time for this farce to be over.”

Lord Mortis

looks up in surprise, “How can it be over? There are only 3 of you, and there are 7 of us. I think someone is having delusions of grandeur.

Lassr

stands up. “Actually there are 4 of us and 6 of you. Now I think it is time that you bow down before your new Emperor.”

Rising to confront Lassr, Unagi get’s in his face. “Don’t try and frighten us with your sorcerer’s ways, Lord Vader. Your sad devotion to that ancient religion has not helped you win your war, nor has it given you clairvoyance enough to find and kill all the Rebel High Command.” Suddenly Lassr clutches Unagi’s throat and squeezes. Choking sounds can be heard coming from Unagi as he desperately tries to get air.

Lassr looks him in the eyes, “I find your lack of faith disturbing.” The rest of the Rebels watch with horrified expressions as Lassr finishes choking Unagi and tosses his body across the room.

Remus West looks at each of the remaining Rebels. “This is where it gets interesting. See, with nine of us still alive, that means the majority is now five instead of six. By my calculation, Lagom Lite is now supposed to die. Mara?” Mara levels her blaster and shoots a shocked Lagom in the face. “Now let’s look at the math. Well, isn’t this interesting. There are 4 of us, and 4 of you. This looks like game over.”

Chaosraven looks over at Mr. Bubbles, “Congratulations you moron! You just killed us all!”

“No, I didn’t!” objects Mr. Bubbles “Stop Chaosraving! I am sure we can find a way out. There is always a way out. We just need to stay calm and think.”

Lord Mortis looks up at Remus West, “Finally! Just end it! I want to die and be done already!”

There are four quick shots fired and the remaining Rebels, Chaosraven, Mr. Bubbles, Lord Mortis and Theohall are now dead.

Wow guys! What a game!

It looked like the Imperials were going to run away with the game, but then the Rebels started fighting back. It looked like there was a glimmer of hope, but then RMC got turned and Remus came out as C3PO.

Ok, now that the game is over, I would like some opinions.

Do people prefer not knowing the roles in the game? Or would you prefer a standard set up with everyone knowing roles up front?

I don't mind not knowing the roles since we play plenty of others games where we know the roles. I wouldn't want to do all the time though because it is more frustrating.

to me, that's more fun.

While the 'unknown roster game' is certainly a bunch of "giggly fun" on the wolf side, it creates a ton of needless noise to re-re-read - and ultimately - IMO -it's actually less fun for all involved.

It adds 'crazy', but it's not needed for the game to be fun.

Who's the wolf.... I have fun enough with that.

Fun roles are fun, but debating endlessly about the composition of the game has limited appeal, IMO.
And then, when the composition of the game is totally up in the air, I think it actually sours the fun for the search for the bad guys a bit.

Yeah, like I said - it's a whole bunch of giggly-fun on the wolf side (Moderator side too, which is why CR gravitates toward them when he mods, he can't pass up a good giggle. )

but I do prefer the "know the roles" games. Not knowing the roles tends to cause the game to dwell on different scenarios that might not even be in the game and can waste a lot of time looking for wolves. But as I said every blue moon it can be fun.

That was a lot of fun - thanks to bb for running it. In case you didn't look I was Luke. I'm horribly embarrassed that I didn't pick up on the "conflicted citizen" part, but then in my defense that was what, like a month or two IRL into it, and I hadn't read the role descriptions for weeks at least. At least the imperials evidently missed it too, and it would've been fine if Lassr hadn't hit me with his Vader scan the night before. Ah well.

I feel like I've only played with "undetermined roles" for the most part, so I'd like to try defined roles, I suppose. Really the main difficulty I had with this game was more that it was probably too big, and/or people too loquacious, that it made it too daunting to go back and read through the thread for clues. So my hat's off to those of you that did.

Ah, the tragedy of Lagom, doing an epic re-read and getting 90% of it right, but then getting waived away because the 10% of what he got wrong was Scoop...

Yeah.. I feel horrible, as I thought no way is Luke in the game..Then to come out on the same turn they found you..And then they kill you and convert me.. Gah...

But it was a great game!

But I like knowing the roles that are in the game..It is too easy for someone like me to do what I did this game. And for Remus to do what he did as well..

Congratulations to evil - well played. :)

I thought we were in pretty deep water when Grund turned up legit. We lynched our Seer... When Austin and Newcastle were found, I thought we had a shot again, but then I fumbled on reading Scoop (underestimated his sneakiness) and my credibility went out the window... I don't blame Bubbles for voting me off. Good guys made many mistakes this game, but I think most it was because of ennui and ferocious activity from the Empire players.

So, good game. I'm going to read the spoiler forum and then I'll take a break from WW. I've played almost non-stop since 2009.
But you've seen who's in heaven
Is there anyone in hell?

Yeah, this was a monkey wrench in my head too.

I actually (and I think I said as much) liked a lot of Lagom's analysis, and also kept the idea that he was Good as a constant drum beat in my head - and yet I really didn't like how he took us away from Scoop.
(Additionally, his "really bored" comment when paired with his enormous analysis effort - it just made the 'really bored' comment seem false...)

When we still lynched Scoop, and he was confirmed Imperial:
1) I was amazed and condemning of anyone that then still felt that I was evil... (I mean, c'mon Lagom clear Scoop - and I insisted we still lynch him) (El Guapo, tru1cy fit that profile as well, further planting him as evil in my head)
2) I was turned around by Mr Bubbles bloodlust on Lagom, and thought that was some kind of evil manuever.
3) Lagom's desire to have us move off Scoop and onto "Isgrimnur or Lassr" was something that I wasn't sure I could actually put faith in, and was the ONLY thing that made we worry I was wrong about Isgrimnur.

in hind sight, instead of tru1cy, it would have been great if we had just missed on Lagom instead. After that, I think we may very well have circled back and found Remus to be all over Lagom, and that Lagom's reads on Isgrimnur and Lassr were legit. Again, a reason why tru1cy should have just been our day 1 kill instead of stessier. At the end of the game, I think tru1cy was (and maybe LM  ) the only Good player that considered me an good lynch test.

Likewise, to some degree, Mr Bubbles being mostly gone the whole game creates 'no data' , and that gives players nothing to work with.

TO ME: This game isn't JUST about finding wolves, it's about 'clearing humans' just as much (Putting El G, LM, and coop in my "Not a wolf" list , for instance) - and silent players offer nothing to me in that regard. So, I have little need for them at the end game, and I think I will never start a game where I'm not pushing hard to kill them.

Also, I will point out that this is the second run of this game where 'Mara' in effect, won the game, and - well - I am probably never signing up for a game with a conversion in it again, I personally, just don't like em, ever.
