Wouldn't that mean we have three misses? Since the game would not be over with 5 players and 2 wolves, we would have one more miss.
No, because at 5 we have 0 misses left. We have to hit or else game over. In fact at 5 if we havent hit, we have to hit 2 in a row to win.
That's also why i am kicking over every stone here. Because I am afraid of the death spiral if you lynch say: austin then newc...we both turn up innocent.
I think if i were a wolf, i'd keep on selling the mole has to be in the three line. I'd also keep Bb alive as well. So the choice on that day would lean heavily toward BB because everyone was still enamored w/ the Mole theory.
Newcastle wrote:BB - i am not saying my way IS the way. But my thought process is the following:
1. Newc is innocent
2. BB - i feel is most likely innocent
3. Austin - there can be a case made for him being innocent. Through the PM's between all 4 of us, they supplied me with enough reasons to at least build a case for reasonable doubt that Austin was a wolf and could be innocent.
And if Austin wasnt a wolf, BB wasnt and i wasnt...then that left the other avenue....And as i fleshed it out more, it seemed a possibility than people were giving it.
I get it. I worry about your all three of us being innocent scenario more than you can possibly know, however, I keep coming back to occams razor. I think one of us has to be a wolf, and I hope I am not wrong.
I've said my 2 cents, so I'm going to shut up and I'm not going to vote. I don't want the village getting clouded with my thought process. At this point, it is going to be up to the rest of the village to make a decision on how they want to handle this mess. At least IMHO.

This is like whacko land all over again.
How is this a 'catch' ?
I believe the rule is that only Wolves may PM EACHOTHER at night.
This was Austin
a) thinking it was night (from what he tells us)
b) not even remotely thinking he was (as a wolf or not) under some NO PM AT NIGHT rule.
How is this 'a great catch'? and/or anything 'on Austin' ???
What is it that triggercut is even trying to say Austin did or thought he did.
(accept a great reminder for all of us, because I didn't remember that rule either - and I would have gone on PMing)
It was a rule I hadn't paid attention to since we started during the day. so good catch on the rule but not sure it means anything as I would have also probably broken the rule if it had been night.

His play and statements here are full of cracks in the foundation.
there are a lot of flaws in his plan. I wondered about the night part also. Was he trying to draw the kill away from the real seer? What are the chances the real seer would get hit on night one anyhow.
Again though, it seems like a plan that had no help in planning. Would his partners not find some of these flaws? Or if he is a wolf did he just take the initiative and dive right in?

It's like triggercut is saying this:

He thought it was Night.
The rule allowed him (and only him, as a wolf) to PM at night.

He must be a wolf !!!
If only wolves are allowed to PM at night, wouldn't it stand to argue that wolves aware of this rule wouldn't broadcast their alignment by exercising in an activity that only they can do?
I actually agree with you.

So set that aside, Unagi.
Why would someone interested in collecting and sharing data make PM's that would make them a primary wolf target during the time of the game when that player believes the wolves to be active and deciding on a target?
that is also a valid point.

This way the real seer would have a better chance to connect with the PM'er and say, "Wait! You were not contacted by the real seer for I am he."
Wouldn't work on everyone but probably on Lassr.
Why would anyone want to out the Seer on Night One? Remember, Austin thought it was night when he sent his PMs. I can see a wolf doing this, but not any respectable villager.

NC, I will concede your point. You may be right. I could be a rube and completely missing the Austin con. I just don't think so, and time will tell.
I have played a lot with Austin and I can't imagine his partners telling him to go for it on this move. If they did then I could probably eliminate a few people from wolf candidacy if Austin turns up wolf.
And the fact that I am once again semi-trustung Austin in a PM game has me very worried. But as I said I have a lot more experience now than when we played that other game.
One other note: I'm not sure of Unagi's alignment this game but the last few he has been dead on as a villager. Granted he had a few before that that he was dead wrong. I've gotten a few PMs from him also. At first I thought he was a wolf prying for some info. But since then I have changed my mind. I have no plans of voting for Unagi.
- Austin - I honestly don't know what to think of Austin. My feeling is that he is a villager trying for info, but I can easily see him being evil, too. What concerns me is those that rush today to a "Austin must be tested" stance. While Austin might be a good lynch candidate for today, it's certainly not a given that he is evil and he should merit a lot more discussion. We're currently at 8g/3e. Even if Austin is a wolf, there are two others. Should we really rush to test Austin before we even make a decent effort of finding the other two?
No, you should never rush unless there is a reason. Rushing diminishes the info you can gather.
If its ok w/ people. I am going to go back through my previous posts here. I posted too fast and posts # 2 & 3 were switched. I want switch them back around so people can accurately read chronologically what Lass said.

Then vote for me. Do what you have to do.
I've already said the village should lynch us three. I would just be sad that the first lynch would be a miss, but I will get over it as long as the village wins.
Why vote for you? I sorta' trust you, but that's bothering me. Nightmare situation is both you and Newc as wolves. (from my point of view).
I just read threw Newcastle's wall-of-text about Lassr. Chaosraven's name only comes up once. Mine only comes up once. Everyone else seems to come up several times. With the prevailing theory that one wolf is in the PM triumvirate, the other has to be elsewhere.
That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad.

Chaosraven
- even though he was early on the Lassr vote.
best spot for a partner Wolf to be in the event the partner is ensnared.
"Where are you off to?"
"I don't know," Snufkin replied.
The door shut again and Snufkin entered his forest, with a hundred miles of silence ahead of him.

I am thinking you are wrong to vote for me..
<shrug> I am not a wolf. Again.. Not sure what value you can gain from lynching me..But have at it.
For the record, I think out of the three(BB,NC,and Austin) NC is most likely a wolf, followed by Austin and then BB.
So just to make it official:

Sheesh, this is one small box. Thankfully, everything's packed in nicely this time. Not too tight nor too loose (someone's sig in 3, 2, ...). - Hepcat

How hyper-sensitive are we in these games? (The key word being "games").
First, trig. Now, Newcastle.
As I've said many times, I can only understand a self-vote by wolves. I never see the value of a self-vote by a villager. If you're a freaking villager, act like one and help, bored or not! You signed up to play, play it all the way through.
The self vote never helps good. It's either a wolf ploy or a "woe is me/take my ball and go home" villager.
Ugh!

why not? No one is playing? No one is saying anything? No one is digging for information...its really not fun. I'm sure some people are getting Pm'd or i'm hopping. But it aint happening.
I think i've played a pretty pro-vilalge game...and here i am getting shoved off...so yeah...call it frustration...but i dont want a reason to check in on the thread.
I just dont see anyone really trying. So why should I?
One thing I would advise...when you read through Lassr's posts i would think the following:
1. Lassr wouldnt push hard on each of his partners...maybe 1 but not both. I also dont think this would be immediate.
2. Lassr would try to at least interact with both of his partners...lightly at the minimum. Maybe even have a conversation.
A villager who self votes lets the wolves have one more space in which to hide. A wolf who tantrum self-votes because people won't believe them, needs a better strategy.

well when you got a village that's sitting on its collective ass...that aint a village worth saving.

F! Austin, you are a rat bastard! And if you aren't a rat bastard, this village is SO screwed.
Newcastle, although I share your frustration, you shouldn't have self voted. Q may not have jumped on you and that would have put you at only 3 votes. Deadline is next Monday, plenty of time for the village to do something. Remember when CR was getting frustrated last weekend while Unagi, Austin, you and myself were sending about a billion PM's? Things were happening, but most people didn't see it. I don't know, but that could have been happening right under our noses for the last two days. Frustrating....

Oh, and Austin, it is night. Are you going to send me another night PM? Or are you going to let this one pass for once?
Well, I am sure both Austin and I will be here tomorrow. Everyone else want to throw out some last words of wisdom just in case?
