So making stuff up - i.e. - every post since <insert vote total> has been a push to lynch <insert player name> - is not a reason to vote for someone? Okay. The statement made by Chaosraven was completely wrong and looked like a clear effort to mislead us.

CR then backtracking and changing it to "well he won't vote for Remus West." If that is CR's reasoning, why not vote for others who have said they won't vote for Remus West? Of course, CR has not voted for ANYONE other than the standard bb2112 joke vote - which is similar to the wolf behavior Remus West exhibited in back-to-back games.

Lack of willingness to commit on an early vote is a wolf trying to be careful and not appear like a wolf.

No. Do you ever get tired of not committing to an actual vote? Or leaving votes on villagers for extended periods of time when someone has identified them as a villager with a scan, wolf-boy?

Being identified as a villager and actually being a villager are not the same thing for any player who isn't you, theo. Many folks have pointed that out to you, and you continue to not understand why we just won't take your word for it.

Really? After last game? BB should be the last person to trust. He had half the players believing everything he said...And it was all lies...

<sigh>
Now, now. It was not all lies. I said Remus was a wolf and that I thought RMC and Q human.

I am more interested on how Theo trusts me. Did you use a card to tell I'm a villager? And if so, why is that sad?
It is sad, because I SO want to lynch you.....

Unfortunately, I 'know' this would be wrong.

Yes, I used the Free Scan card on bb2112 and he is a Villager, as am I, or I would have little reason to use the Card. The only reason a Wolf would have to use the card is to find the Light Mage. Now, the Wolves have zero chance of using that card to find the Light Mage.

So....

2 of the 13 in-game are Villagers... bb2112 and myself.

Which should not stop the lynch of Remus West or Chaosraven. IMO, one of the triumvirate (bb2112, Chaosraven, Remus West) will turn up evil. With RW turning up Evil the last two games, knowing bb2112 is a Villager, tbat leaves Chaosraven.

Which is why my vote is where it is and not moving.

Ok, speaking of false statements.

A week for day 1. Is this an attempt to break a record? Some forum games achievement unlock I'm not aware of?

I've suggested lynching the card players. That idea is met has been met with silence and horror. The only 2 people to vote for bb2112 have become the focus of mini-trains.

RMC, please pick a train or I'm flipping my vote to you. Silent and sitting on the sidelines in a stalled game is two strikes. :coffee:

To all the others, congrats you've made your positions known. Everyone please look and nod accordingly at the players with > 3 votes. Indeed they have been noted as suspicious. Can I get an amen, brothers? Is there a chance for movement? Shall we proceed with the game?

2. it will give us a read on whether he is telling the truth regarding what he got back from the card he claimed. Yes, Spartacus could still be out there but if we get it and someone announces they are using it and it turns up again after that then we know it wasn't used today. Other than that, we are going to be tossing every single piece of information we might gain based off the threat of a single card.

seriously? that's all youre gonna give us? And why test him? let the wolves be our testers for us....really, really dodgey vote there remus...yeah one of em might have played spartacus...but think of how low the odds of that happening? if you were evil would you have played spartacus on day 1? hmm...actually i would have....but still...dont you think the wolves would take a gander at bb/Q and put em high on their to-do list? i dont know...too many better targets than redrun right now....

lets say they are faking it Q & Redrun....wouldnt that be a helluva ballsy play to do? If you are a wolf...why would you announce youre scan? why not fake it? Buy villager cred? Then say you surviva a feww nights....wont villagers ask questions...even though you were the good samaritan and put the scan info in the pubcli domain thereby makingyou a more likelier good than evil...smart play if you are evil...is sit on the information...i seriously doubt a wolf would come forth with a scan.

i actually might consider voting for remus today....also what happened to qantaga......and RMC...?

I'm pretty much on board with you. My count of wolves is higher than the known total. Too many people wanting to twist pretty weak pieces to their own accord.

Really? You're going to completely ignore the first reason and focus in on the second? The only reason I gave the second was to show there is upside if I happen to be wrong regarding reason #1. As for why I think he is Evil - even though you did not bother to ask that - go read everything he has written regarding me and then realize that he has not once voted me today. He has consistently said I am Evil yet not a single vote from him my direction. What is that if not setting me up for a future lynch?

If he is a villager:
If he really thought I was Evil what possible reason could there be to not vote me?
If he doesn't really think I'm Evil what possible reason could there be to try and sell you all on the idea?

If he is a wolf:
There is plenty of reason to not vote me today as I will be a miss and he knows it but doesn't want to be blamed for spurring the vote on with his participation.
There is plenty of reason to sell you all on the idea of my being Evil because he can then push for me later and get a miss at a more crucial time.

Yep - one person still refuses to place a vote on anyone. Wonder why they are afraid to commit to anything? Afraid of killing one of their partners, or that wolf currently has the most votes on himself?

We have to crack eggs to move this along, yet one person refuses to even vote to crack an egg.

well i appreciate teh expansion on your thoughts and analysis.....and fyi questioning your assertion about his being "evil" was implicit there.

i still think youre charge is faulty here. I'd like to see mroe noise out of him for sure. But simply because he called you evil and hasn't charged...thats really the sum of your argument. Kind of weak-suace there remus. Youre better than that. Hell i think half this village is evil...but i dont have enough votes to down everyone here. All i got is me and my vote to poke my nose around.

Again, i come to this about redrun...why as a wolf...would you scan a player and then announce it to the village that another is innocent? Seriously why announce it? Thats a pretty pro-villager move there. Its just too convoluted to think otherwise. Way too chancy at this point in the game to put such a large target on you as a wolf.

As I keep saying, let the wolves sort out the Card 4. Even if spartacus was played...the chances of at least 1 of em being good is great. Its too risky for a wolf to fake card clear a partner for one, for two its a dumb for a wolf to clear a villager by declaring someone clear via a scan...why do that? its not a smart play. If you get a scanner as a wolf you sit on it. You "clear" someone you lessen youre hiding spots.

...if they are still around in a couple of days, then we really start digging into their story and accusations history. But right now, i think there is too great of a chance of hurting the village if we pursue that line of inquiry. The other aspect to this...say all 4 are telling the truth...they've just uncovered a massive amount of hte board for us...that's a nice ace in the hole to have for us....and one i dont mind gambling to have as a villager. I'm kind of hoping for the best, preparing for the worst. Let em live, see what happens at night.

Why, as a villager, do you assume he is telling the truth? A wolf redrun could have scanned anyone and determined they are/are not the Seer then claimed to have scanned anyone else. Why do you believe he did exactly what he says he did?

<sigh> He isn't. All he is saying is why lynch a guy on day one that could have just said he had a worthless card and wasted the scan rather than coming out and saying Q is a villager. OF COURSE, this could be an elaborate play where Q used the "I am Spartacus" card and then RR used his card and it all looks legit. We don't know anything for sure. However, we do have a scanner that can help clear up some of this mess, and we have the evils that will help clear it up some in the night through their kills. Why on earth would we go after someone we at least have some clue about (whether it is wrong or right) over a lot of other people we don't know anything about on day 1?

You continue to make no sense, yet we can't get enough people to lynch you. Grrrrr....

Lynching redrun is not a horrible thought. It's certainly better than Q or bb2112. I still don't see any reason to vote for Chaos.

And please, 1 week for day 1 is nothing. I thought the average used to be 14 days.

Is that panic in your eyes?

What possible reason could there be not to vote for you, when I've said several times I think you are evil and want votes today.....

3. Free scan for player’s role. (May be played when a vote is placed against card holder). 1 use.
4. Escape lynching. (May be used if card holder is lynched). 1 use.
5. Resurrection! (Resurrect lynched player). 1 use.
12. I am Spartacus! (Your role will show Villager if scanned. Effects carry over into night). 2 uses.
14. Illumination (If lynched, play this card and get 1 scan of one of your lynchers . You will take this info to your grave). 2 uses.
15. Nuke’em From Orbit (If lynched play this card and one of your lynchers will die in your place. Card holders choice). 1 use.
20. Scramble (all votes placed against at least 3 players are redistributed randomly to those 3 players. If a majority is reached then a lynch occurs). 1 use.
21. Quantum Shift (if enough votes have been cast against more than 1 player to reach a majority on 1 player then votes will be redirected to player in the lead thus lynching the target. If a tie for the lead then card holder’s preference). 1 use.
So, Free Scan is boring, Escape Lynching seems an unlikely reason to draw votes to yourself, Resurrection is interesting (if another wolf has it) but again, an unlikely reason to draw votes to yourself - unless part of a combo. I am Spartacus is a reason to try for attention, Illumination is only interesting as part of a combo, Nuke'em From Orbit, Scramble, Quantum Shift all have possibilities.

Why would you vote for me? You can't hope to get a majority, you can only hope to distract. You could make the point that you are worried I'm setting you up for the future, but voting for me is a non-starter.

Why do I think you are after votes today?

Thats fine. I just find it amusing that you would employ that logic given the game before that one you really did lose it for the villagers by announcing who you were and thus allowed us to convert you and win the game. Just sayin'.

Yeah, I'm good with my vote. Lets see if a majority can be reached there. If you doubt me, go ahead and look through the list of cards he posted and ask yourself if a wolf day 1 would try to sacrifice himself (thus putting his team in a huge hole) simply to use one of those cards because that is essentially the basis for his claim that he thinks I'm Evil. As for the idea that I'm doing this from panic, yeah, that'll fly. I have one scary vote on me right now and everyone else has backed away so now would be the time to panic. Good insight there.

Why would I allow the play you are attempting to make against me to proceed at your pace? You want to set me up for the future - I'd rather hash it out today.

so are people still around? Are we deadlocked? Why are some of us so quiet (RMC & Qantaga). Is that he hold up? Just kind of sad to see a whole day pass and really no activity...people busy with stuff? Was hoping today it would pick up some, at least participation wise. I realize so little to go on....but c'mon...

Would love to toss a vote on Qantaga...simply to spur his participation..but realize that's verboten since he's part of hte Card 4. He's had time to minister to his plantations in Puerto Rico, but not post here. Sigh. Am almost thinking of tossing a vote on to RMC...more so we dont have to deal with his silence late in the game than anything else. Cant get a read on him.

I don't understand why redrun got all defensive when there was a whopping one vote on him.

Newcastle, you are reminding me of Lassr(wolf)'s "Q sure is quiet" fabrications from last game. It makes me feel even better about my vote on you. There's a big difference between participation and white noise posting, and you know it.

Isn't theo following Chaos' vote on redrun interesting?

theo has been telling us all along how evil Chaos is. So, why in the world would theo suddenly be willing to follow anything Chaos is doing?

As for redrun, he gets a pass from me today.

He revealed me as good. I know I'm good. Therefore, I know he's telling the truth and has reduced our possible lynch pool to increase our odds of hitting a wolf today.

Yes, he might be a wolf. Yes, he might be playing it out for future trust (as Remus points out). However, it seems at odds for a good wolf play (percentage-wise) on Day 1, when it would be better for a redrunwolf to just kept silent on the matter.

I'd figured the village had more than enough targets, and would be looking for higher probability targets for lynch. The shift is interesting to watch.
