Again, all we need is a simple majority by tomorrow morning. Not 6 votes, but a simple majority. That's why I'm not real concerned at this point if Newcastle weighs in again or not. If things stay the way they are, he's hanging in the morning.
and if he has a good story that people believe and things stay the way they are........

That is the part bb2112 is getting at. He wants to redirect you all to me after Newcastle makes up a little story. At least he is committed though. Unlike redrun.
I see. I guess I'm feeling like I'm not going to buy whatever Newcastle is selling at this point.

The good news is Lassr has checked in, so the assumption would be that he answered any of NC's questions. And we are closing in on 9pm eastern.

So I had some time at the beach today…and this came to mind. I figure might as well type this all out…because well it amuses me and I am pretty much a dead man…and this was fun to think about and develop while I was sitting on the beach trying to figure out how to leave some legit hints to you folks if I had the chance. So to know what card I played, youre gonna have to read (its pretty obvious). And yes, I got confirmation from Lassr that I can reveal what card I had played. I just wanted to make absolute sure. Anyway…..

The Starfish
Two starfish were violently thrown from the sea. They came out and rested in a small pool which was nestled above their previous tide pool. IF they could look over the edge they could see their starfish buddies.
One, who was kind longer than the other looked over at the other. “Hey I’m Order Crow –Starfish, who are you?”
The other one responded, “I’m Bouncing Ball Starfish.” He held out an arm to shake.
Order Crow looked at the offered appendage and saw a glimmering object. “Holy smokes, what the frick is that.”
Bouncing Ball - Starfish responded. “Oh that’s a periscope. If I focus in on someone it lets me see if they are a dark starfish or a light one. Its broken now.”
“Oh that is pretty damn nifty. I wish I had one.” Order crow said as he peered over the edge. Just then Old Keep Starfish floated near the edge of the tide pool, with a herculean effort he launched an object out of the water and it landed next to Order crow.
Order crow looked over and saw a periscope. “Oh neat-o my very own periscope!” He floated over and grabbed it, and started fondling it.
Old Keep starfish waved back at the other two and let the tide carry him to the rest of the starfish.

TLDR – read it damn it…read it!

As am I. He seems to be saying he can scan for light or dark mages, yet Mind's Eye (redrun) and Free Scan (myself) were both used on Day One and each only had one use. So what other card reveals roles? I am probably missing a card, but the others work on dead people.

He seems to be claiming Beyond the Grave.

It would be nice if he dropped the shadow play and just spoke clearly.

So unless someone can talk to the dead, we still learn nothing right now. I don't see a reason for Newcastle to be secretive about having played that card.

Seriously, if you played that card, why wouldn't you give the power of the scan to the seer? Mr. Bubbles then would get 2 scans and we would only have to talk to one dead player. This was not a move that helped the village.

Clarification on the 2 scans comment: He has one scan the night he died, and would get another by the use of NC's card. Therefore 2 scans.

because i felt bad about gettin CR lynched...figured it was a way to keep him in the game and interesetd...it was an apology if you will....because i did have a big hand in getting him lynched. And bubbles had a scan already.

So i should have sat on it and let it go to waste BB? That what youre telling me?

On the one hand, this looks like the way good Newcastle plays.
On the other hand, why not give the power to the seer, who would then have two scans, and who is a more likely target for a speak with dead.
On the third hand, the seer wasn't lynched, and therefore cannot be brought back to life.
On the fourth hand, his reaction was fairly quick (this morning), and he made a point of saying that his card was only 1/2 played (that is, the second half is the scan).
On the fifth hand, he may have had enough time after the swipe post to scan the list of cards and look for one that would give him time to think.

Gack. I don't see a better target than Newcastle, given the deadline.
Sufficient I am to the day.

I also don't understand why you'd play the View From Heaven card right away. That takes a huge stretch of logic to buy into as well.

Why yes. Yes you do. If you really made that mistake as a villager, you really hurt us. If you made that "mistake" as a Dark Mage, then you actually made a somewhat savvy move. So the only 2 conclusions I can come up with is you are a total idiot villager, or you are a savvy Dark Mage. Either way, for the good of the village, you have to go.

Agreed. Especially if NC comes back evil. Aside from the nonsense RW has been spewing, I also recall NC claiming he didn't want to vote for RW. I called NC out on it at the time.

Someone put an end to this nonsense.
He should have saved the card to use later in the day when the same two people would have been his only targets?

He should have not played the card and hoped that some other non-wolf player got it later in the game, used it, and after that we got the talk with dead?

What possible reason was there for him to wait to play it?
Sufficient I am to the day.

sa far as i cant telll you

1. pm a dead person (2 uses)
2. Perform a seance
3. Resurect a lynched person..

So please...tell me, its going to be that impossible to get the information from CR? Seriously guys? Are you absolutely serious?

Good god. What do i have to do to make you guys think.....

deadline play...force folks to squeeze in on high profile targets....meaning ME....

also - who hasnt played a card or played it right away.

Ya know...i wish i handnt said anything, i wish you guys would have just lynched me and i could take this info to the grave. That's the thanks i get? SeriouslY?

5. Resurrection! (Resurrect lynched player). 1 use.
6. Séance. (Communicate with the dead. Dead, chosen by card holder, may make one post in the game thread). 1 use.
7. Beyond the Grave (Communicate with the dead. 1 PM to chosen dead and 1 PM from the dead). 2 uses.

Youre telling me i screwed up because I GAVE people more options to access the information? C'mon guys.....think about it...and yes i'm angry because i thought i made a wise villager play...but instead i get Q hammering at me all game for whatever....then i get BB saying i trust you, i dont trust you....seriously and you guys are "trusted". Get your heads checked.

You honestly had all day long--or at least into the morning. I don't understand the supreme urgency to play that card--if that was even your card to begin with, which I rather think it wasn't.

Newcastle, I think your card was the deadline card, and I think you played it right away this morning:

1. because you and your wolf buddies didn't read the card descriptions well enough and thought you could get a day through the game on a Saturday/Sunday without 6 votes accumulating on one player, (not realizing a majority was needed) or
2. you hoped to get through the day without everyone else being able to play their cards, such as rezzes or seance cards.

When you got caught not having a card, I think you made up the View From Heaven.

Either way, I think we find out here as soon as Lassr checks the thread.

We should be at 5 votes on NC currently.
That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad.
