[WW] Diamonds Are Forever

Post by Qantaga »

You wake slowly and start to roll out of bed... only to realize that you are already standing. You raise your hand to shade your eyes from a blindling sun resting high in a clear, blue sky. You glimplse a small shadow hurtling across the lower edge of the sun. Instinctually, you raise your other hand, only to feel a distinctive thump. You lower your hand and glimpse a fielder's glove, with a pristine white baseball nestled in the webbing. You realize that you are decked out in a full baseball uniform (jersey, pants, socks, cleats, cap, and whoa, is that a jock strap under it all?).

Before you can even form a conscious thought, you are mobbed by eight others, dressed in matching uniforms. They raise you on a carpet of hands and shoulders as you drink in the adulation of bleachers full of cheering fans.

The celebration carries into the night. Slowly, the crowd dissipates. As midnight approaches, the manager dismisses all but nine. Those of you who were standing on the field when the final out was recorded and a title was won. He makes a nice, little speech. Then, he says, "Even though we would not be here without the contributions of everyone on the roster, I have a special gift for my starting postion players and my staff ace." He then pulls out a small valice and extracts several bottles of Macallan 25.

Some unknown time later, you groggily awake on a threadbare couch in the clubhouse. You stumble to gather your things, make a few mumbled goodbyes, and promise to keep in touch in the offseason. You shuffle down the tunnel to the player's parking lot. To your surprise, the door is locked tight. You turn and make your way up to the main concourse, only to find that the gates are sealed up tight. As you make your way back to the clubhouse to find someone with a key, you hear a loud shout from the direction of the field. You rush through the dugout to see a crowd gathered by the pitcher's mound. As you draw closer, you see a scene of unimaginable horror... the manager's throat has been ripped wide open.

Kinectikid is dead and your intuition tells you clearly that his killers are standing here with you. But, who are they?

Final Lineup Card:*

1. Remus West - CF
2. Lassr - 2B
3. triggercut - C
4. bb2112 - 1B
5. WarPig - 3B
6. theohall - RF
7. RMC - LF
8. redrun - SS
9. Chaosraven - SP

*(Note: positions are for flavor only and have no relation to role).

It is Day 1. Who will you lynch?

PMs with roles have been sent. There are two wolves, one seer, and six unpowered villagers.

I will post a notice when all PMs have been picked up.

You are welcome to begin discussion now, if you desire.

The deadline is next Wednesday evening (Oct. 3) at 9:00 pm (Eastern) (Although, I hope we won't need it).

The game is afoot.

Note: I was running later than anticipated in launching the game tonight. Because of that, I have adjusted the deadline to Oct. 3.

So, last game, after the deadline card had been played by a wolf, Remus's partner put the first vote on Remus and pushed hard for other folks to vote for Remus. It appears to me that this was based on the idea that Remus was already going to die and the partner could gain village-cred via starting the lynch of a wolf.

It worked.

If Remus is a wolf this game, I'd be curious to see what RMC is.

That was awesome. I was especially glad to see Freddie win it, given the way last season ended.

On the WW game front, there is just one unclaimed PM remaining.

Reread the game... I was one of the first to vote for Remus. :) Not a wolf here, and the probability is that Remus is not either, but that's what I said last game and he was a wolf as well..

Bb2112, remus, redrun, and I will likely be out of comm for fri and sat as we head to Chicago. I will leave my vote on Remus as (1) it would be really funny if he died while on the road and (2l there is no friggin' way I can let him win four games in a friggin row if he is a wolf.

I don't think it'd be funny if I got lynched while on the road. Not funny at all. Jerk.
Alright, it'd be a little funny but it would be so much funnier of you died instead.

Actually, since I'm not making it to Octocon this time, yet BB2112, Remus, and Chaos are....

Anyone else want to have a weekend of quick votes so that when these three come back from their decadent weekend of gaming they have a little surprise waiting for them?
