Does gaming jargon enhance previews?
When reading previews, are you bogged down by big words and gaming jargon? Are graphical words, like anisotropic, helpful in describing how fun a game is? Can you write your own jargon-filled "preview"? Below is a sample of this technique as applied to the current state of gaming:
Why are so few PC games eminent? Perhaps our answer lies in the realm of the symphonious arts. Let’s look to the Rolling Stones and U2, two rock bands as perennial as the Arrhenatherums. Both outsell their fugacious counterparts. Wherefore art thee newfangled competitor? Defunct?
Many games considered au courant have been panegyrized for their dandy visuals and groovy audio. Are these perdurable, too? Or, simply fusty? Both may loom as coetaneous happenstances. Au courant, indeed!
Do music & games climb to a zenith followed by the long road of putrescence? Will newfangled rockers evanesce while golden agers advance? Has PC gaming undertaken the selfsame paradigm? What asseverate you?
Please enchant us with aphoristic and epigrammatical comments. But refrain from vituperative and contumelious rejoinders.

I, for one, am impressed. That post had to take significant effort.
PR releases are pretty wasted on me -- stupid jargon or no -- but I'm pretty sure I'm not the target demographic.

I've stopped reading previews a long time ago. I got tired of "blah blah blah, this looks to be the best game evar!" and then reading a review three months later for what appreas to be a totally different game. Honestly, do marketing droids just take the reporters to lunch and hand them a brochure or something?
