[Oh, for the whining bastard TiLT who's pissed that the option "I haven't pre-ordered yet, and haven't decided where I will pre-order" is missing: it's only a couple of weeks to go! MAKE UP YOUR MIND! ]
Pre-ordered this bad boy almost exactly one year ago, today. 10/30/03 to be exact. Been carrying around the stupid friggin' receipt in my wallet for all that time, too. About the only thing you can still read on it is the game title, date, and store. Good enough tho, I guess.
OR
cry in a corner that the world has come to a point where you have to pay for imaginary shit.
I haven't pre-ordered, but not on principle or anything. Most of the games I've really been looking for have had less-than-flattering receptions (Doom3, Thief3, Deus Ex IW) so I've been making a point to not buy stuff in advance if I think I may be disappointed. This is especially true for sequels to games I was especially fond of, as I'd prefer to preserve the memory of the original than have it sullied by a bad sequel.

I don't see TiLT whining
anyways, what about the 'I preordered at a B&M but am going to probably switch over that over to Halo 2 and get the Silver version off of steam' option?
CeeKay has left the building. See him exclusively at Gaming Trend!
Funny to see that Vivendi might have had a point in not being to happy about Valve selling Half-Life 2 directly to customers. Sure, the game will still sell by the truckloads in regular stores, but it seems like a lot of the more "hardcore" fans are ordering through steam.
I pre-ordered two copies from GameStop....on 6/24/03. Like Gung Ho, my receipts are barely legible. One copy for me, another for my son in the AirForce.
ATI voucher, and sticking with the piddly little bronze version it gives me. I have no interest in Counterstrike or whatever else comes with the others.

CS comes with HL2 as that is the offical multiplayer.
I don't pre-order games. I tired it a couple times with poor results. Now I pretty much wait for a price drop or a trade. (Although I may just pick up GTA 3 San Andreas tonight.
