First off, my post was completely a joke anybody who read it should be able figure that out. Also While network I don't have access so I can't defend myself and then suddenly I have four votes on me because it's nothing.

It's day one, calm down. I don't think anyone has much to go on at this point. I voted for Qantaga based solely on him being quiet for the first few days of the game, and now he's got three votes on him.Scoop20906 wrote: scoop20906

Wow. That is a total overreaction. I got the joke. I was playing along to see who else would follow. Theohall looks pretty suspicious. Not only does he follow, but he labels your innocent comment as a slip. But then you do this. Aren't you a little experienced to throw a tantrum and self vote? Especially on day one?Scoop20906 wrote: scoop20906

I hope you are right. I have just had a long grueling day at work where I accomplished virtually nothing I set out to do today. Not in the best frame of mind at the moment and that totally hit me wrong. Sometimes I forget we are dealing with a chaotic personality in Scoop. I'm going to bed. May tomorrow be a better day.RMC wrote:Don't you think this might be calculated to see whom does what? Hmmmm......bb2112 wrote:Wow. That is a total overreaction. I got the joke. An eventful first day.
It's nice to have Scoop back in the fold for some wholesome fun and dramatic effect. (I mean that in all sincerity. Games are so much more interesting with him involved).

Re: [WW] - The Pirates of the Flying Octopi -game thread-
Of interest:
- Scoop's antics:
1. His "poke the innocents" was obviously contrived and not the faux pas theohall tried to paint it as (more on that in a moment). Did Scoop do it to stir up reaction or was it a calculated move to try to construct the "evil wouldn't be nearly so obvious" strawman.
2. His theatrics and self-vote. Is Scoop truly distressed by three votes (of a majority of 8 required) on Day 1 (which had him in a tie for the 2nd most votes at the time)? Hardly an imminent lynch situation. It is highly doubtful that Scoop would pitch a real fit, so this must also be constructed. Again, an innocent stirring up reaction or deliberate strawman #2?
- theohall:
theohall has dressed more firmly in his bulldog costume that even he usually does. His forceful insistence that Scoop's "poke the innocents" was a faux pas when it was obvious that it was no such thing, both in established OOWW lore and in Scoop's spelling it out very clearly in that exact same post, was odd even for theo. He later claims that hs assertion that Scoop made a faux pas was BS. Leaving us with two possibilities:
1. theohall is manipulating anything he can find into a lynch cause.
-or-
2. theohall is changing his original story, which is completely odd behavior for him and more than a little unnerving.
- proner:

That's pretty contrived. The way I see it, Remus was simply commenting that Scoop was making a joke based on one of Remus' old slips, even calling attention to it himself.Vorret wrote:Remus and a fellow wolf which helps solidify my scoop vote.Lagom Lite wrote:Who is, in your opinion, "protecting a high value friend"? The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

This is my second game, and I'm trying to get a handle on what even counts as a clue. As far as I can figure out, the first day is guesswork flavored with revenge for past episodes.
If the bad guys first get to kill someone on the first night, what is there to go on before then? Isn't it all just trash talk until that point?

The typical day one pattern is to talk a lot and throw random votes around until someone says something that, if you squint just so, looks kind of maybe like a 'slip', at which point everyone shrugs and votes for them.
Roughly 90% of the time, from my experience, this person turns out to be the seer.

hehehe...Now that is true, although sometimes it is a different special. Didn't we catch our protector like that a few games ago?El Guapo wrote:The typical day one pattern is to talk a lot and throw random votes around until someone says something that, if you squint just so, looks kind of maybe like a 'slip', at which point everyone shrugs and votes for them.

Not really yet. I'm just seeing the typical Day 1 stuff, though I have a couple of suspicions I'd like to mull over a bit more.El Guapo wrote:It's not "solely" his role, but there's no doubt that tru1cy is usually the quietest player with a pulse.pr0ner wrote:tru1cy wrote:Hi pr0ner

RMC, who do you think is evil?
That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad.
