Which brings me to my initial wondering of why your mindset is "It's a TRAP!" because mine was simply "That's odd" - which then registered as normal for Scoop.

So, I return to my original question, Mr. Helpful, "If you are a villager, why worry about stepping in a trap in the first place?"

Also, can someone explain this to me

Aaarrrgh, Mr. Theohall--you've attracted me suspicions too! (If only because tha game won't move wit'out we settle on a victim, aye?)

At the risk of lookin' like a mob-follower, I'll lay down me marker once again. I hope I don' regret it. It's the black spot for ye, Evil Spirit!!

Lassr explained RW.
Scoop explained RMC.
bb2112 seemed to be building a straw man argument against me claiming I was just "blowing with the wind" when no one other than Scoop had really said anything significant about RMC and I chose to agree with Scoop.
Actually wasn't trying to build a case against you. You do that yourself. I was just stating the obvious, and something several others have already pointed out, I might add. But I am flattered you only have eyes for me.

Jiminy Crotch Crickets!

You realize RMC was the one that brought up it could be a trap or ploy, not I. I brought up why would you announce that if you thought Scoop was setting up a trap or trying to gather info thus destroying any trap or causing any posts after that to be tainted.

“Yarr be a bunch of pansy pirates , ya working like gay pirates. Happy pirates!” scoffed Lassr as he lifted one of the chests. RMC snuck up on Lassr and knocked Lassr’s hairpiece off. Lassr’s bald gleaming dome shone forth, Lassr oblivious to the disappeared hairpiece.

“Hey Remus give me a hand here” Qantaga called over. Remus ambled over and together the two strained to carry the chests. Theohall and Mr. Bubbles then grabbed the next chest. Lagom ran back to the ship getting it ready for the treasure.

Scoop meanwhile found a tiara and quickly put it on, “I’m the pirate princess,” he snarled, though no one paid him much heed. Meanwhile Proner & Truicy were both engaged in a long terse fight, of silence. They eyeballed each other, both willing the other to say a word; neither coming close to breaking as they carried the final chest back to the ship.

“Think there is a curse with this treasure?” El Guapo asked

“Ya saw it with your own eyes. Didntcha?” Vorret said.

“That was wicked black smoke I saw!” El Guapo exclaimed.

Working in teams the pirates slowly brought the booty to the ship. Soon the job was down. Theohall slumped over with exertion. “The spirits take me, that’s tough work.”

The crew looked at him, shocked he’d mention it.

“Why ya say that? Yarr be a spirit,” Holman screamed and pointed a musket at him.

“Kill him!” BB2112 shouted.

Soon a musket was fired and Theohall slumped to the ground dead. All waited to see what would happen next. But they were to be disappointed, nothing happened. Theohall had been a PIRATE!

Q, you are always so tactful. The real question you should be asking, "hey bb, what are you? Some kind of idiot?" Yes, I'm an idiot. I got to the end of the last page and didn't notice the next page when I posted. Yes, the next page with 2 more votes on it. After I posted and saw the next two votes, I turned to my wife and told her I think I just whacked Theo. Since then I have been rocking back and forth saying to myself over and over, please be a spirit, please be a spirit, please be a spirit... Well that, and answering work emails and watching Big Bang.

At least we have data to look at now. Sometimes in these games, Day 1 flies by without much discussion.

I was especially intrigued by the dogpile at the end there.

Yes, let's look at the dog pile. The last three votes - newbie, newbie, idiot.

And Tru1cy, what I did on accident, you have done on purpose on many occasions.

OK, now I feel bad for bringing on the murder. A eulogy is in order:

"Ayw, Theohall was a good shipmate an' a good pirate, even iffn' he smelled like rotten haggis an' farted up the cabin an' spread diseases most of us canna ev'n prono'nce. Arrr, he'll be missed."

Rules question:

So we killed a normal pirate. If he was one of our specials, would we be told that at his death, or are we left guessing?

I do have to say that despite my absence from these games for a while and from what I remember theohall didn't seem to play much different that he normally does as a good guy. Definitely have to look at those who thought it was guilty. Newbs I can forgive, veterans I cannot. He was a good man, rough around the edges, maybe, but a good man nonetheless.
