Straight ahead. Thanks for not giving me a 7.

Rules clarification: if I make lane shifts within a turn, am I able to make subsequent shifts in the opposite direction once I get out onto the straightaway?

Moves within a turn aren't counted against the weaving rule. You can dive inside then go back outside once you are clear of the turn.

Yes. The only restriction is that once you make a lane change from one straightaway spot to another in that same straightaway, then you can't move back in the other direction while you are on that same straightaway (unless you're moving around another car).

They are correct. You can also weave to go around debris.

Does the 'moving around another car' rule count if the other car is in the next turn? a.k.a. would I be able to come out of my turn on the left side, shift right to behind bb and then move left to avoid him?

I think so, though Isg can confirm.

Also, note that the move out of the turn doesn't count in terms of shifting in the straightaway. So, going straight 5, left 2, right 1 is a legal move.

I have no issues with it. It's a natural driving course rather than one designed to attempt to trim spaces off of movement.

At least it wasn't a 20.

Two forward, one left, two right, five forward, two more forward eating four(!) points of tire damage.
