Just like qantaga, but I guess they are as good as anyone else.

(I'm in a training class this entire week)
Frankly, the redrun train would look better to me if bb2112 hadn't hopped on it after how he described hopping on the Theohall train.
Theohall's 'poking the silents', "C'mon, that's what we do!!", approach is exactly the mundane move he would use to hide as a wolf.
The theohall train is better. All Aboard !!

Qantaga - looking more and more evil to me - but more from the way folks are following and voting then his own activity. I want him up on the block to see what we learn.
Lassr - I still think he is guilty - he thinks I am guilty. Maybe we're both wrong, maybe only Lassr is.
Tru1cy is trending evil.
RMC, Trending evil again.
El Guapo... might be evil. Might be a villager of some sort.
Remus and Chaos - weird interplay. I don't know what is going on. Remus is trending towards evil, Chaos is trending towards fluff... so, it's normal for Chaos to spend a lot of time in the fluff zone, but normally he comes out of it at some point. Hey Chaos - who is being too quiet this game day? Who is flying under the radar? I'd just like to see something solid from you to look at.
Baktosh - he could be mistaken and trying to sound sure, or he could be evil and trying to push a lie. I'm leaning towards the former. Disclaimer - I've rarely played with Baktosh and have no idea of his normal style.
IMO. YMMV.
If you were a wolf, and you had a choice between lynching Qantaga and Redrun (assuming that neither of them is a wolf) - which would you vote for? I know that I am not a wolf. I don't know what Qantaga is.

Only 12 people have a registered vote on this update, so of the 12 people putting a hat in the ring, they need 9 to agree.

I mean, the OP has 22 listed (with one dead, of course).
The post he quoted has 21 names in it.
It even SAYS eleven required to lynch.
How exactly does one miss 4 people?
And coincidentally enough... 17 Nonwolves and 4 Wolves.
Hmmm...
Reading off the list of 17 People from the wrong forum?

Probably about time to get off of Newcastle, as this isn't going anywhere and not yielding any interesting info at this point. Semi-arbitrary list of people I could vote for at this point:
Grundbegriff
bb2112
pr0ner
Chaosraven
theohall
redrun
Redrun's not a bad choice...but right now at least my gut says that he's human poking around for wolves, so I think I'll pass on that for now. I think
Theohall
is worth checking out.

Yeah, I made a HUGE slip of not remembering how many folks are playing (since the numbers were changing even after I signed up) and being too lazy to check the front page before posting because I was on a tablet.
But we do have a slip.
pr0ner or Scoop is a wolf.
I'm betting pr0ner is just playing badly here.
My vote stays on Scoop.

Re: Lynching Liaisons - Day 1
If we all vote Triggercut, will he explode? How can he TP everyone??

Looking through the votes, I'm not happy with Unagi going after Theohall. That's my territory, and I'm kind of hurt.
Also a little concerned how the whole "If I can't start a train" comment went without notice.
What is our deadline again?

Re: Lynching Liaisons - Day 1
Right then, let's have a look at what's been said so far. I'll give this whole thread a brisk re-read.
Now, this is Day 1. Normally when I do a late-game re-read I look very much at relationships between known good, known evil and dead players. I can't really do that now - only Holman is dead and he was probably killed with very little rationale.
These are the factors I will thusly consider at this point in the game:
A. Player history.
If a player's behavior is very different from his behavior in past games (or similar to his previous behavior as a wolf), this may mean a player is a wolf. However, we all evolve as Werewolf players and sometimes one wants to try something new.
B. Aggression vs defensiveness.
Unpowered villagers tend to be aggressive. Wolves instead tend to be defensive. In any exchange between players, who is doing the digging and who is trying to deflect suspicion from himself?
C. Apathy vs non-committal.
Unpowered villagers tend to not care if they are threatened with lynching. It's even a bit comforting to get lynched when you're innocent and the village is ganging up on you ("I'm innocent. They'll see"). Wolves will try to wriggle out of a lynch if at all possible, even the Berzerker. Also, wolves are non-committal which isn't the same as apathetic. Wolves will throw their vote around until it sticks, and will generally switch targets without care (unless it's one of their own). They're sly, manipulative and opportunistic.
One other thing to consider: Valuable good specials (Seers, shooters) tend to smell like wolves, following the above criteria.

You know what? This sentiment seems genuine. If it's a wolfy move, it's a very good one - if Unagi posted this as a wolf, he is pre-empting suspicion that may come up towards him later in the game, which is enormously far-fetched. A wolf would never be seanced by the medium.Unagi wrote:I think that's why I don't like it. I don't want to have to keep up after I die but if the Medium contacts you, you are going to want to have something... but most likely - they won't, so keeping up will be sorta a waste.Remus West wrote:I like it because then you can follow along and speculate regarding current events even if you have been killed. Then if you get contacted by the Medium you can share your thoughts. It allows everyone to play until the end (or the use of the Medium).Unagi wrote:I just realized that we will not be told crap on death, because of the medium.
While that's fun - it's also not.
I'd rather just be spoiled. That being said - I love having a medium in the game, cause it's cool to be able to hear from someone that would have normally been 'silenced' by their death.
So, I like the game piece - I just don't like waiting.
This on the other hand, seems fake, contrived & opportune. Many people submits night orders, not just wolves.El Guapo wrote:How hard is it to choose a kill on night zero? Is it who tells the funniest joke in the village? The least funny joke?
Vorret strikes me as weird too. Too jolly on page 2, which betrays concern about his possibly impending doom. I'm sorting him as "defensive".Vorret wrote:I saw they should take the first name in the list, AKA not me.El Guapo wrote:How hard is it to choose a kill on night zero? This is the second time in the thread that Lassr claims (night-time) to be "submitting orders". That means he's either an unpowered villager, clumsily trying to get night-killed, or a good special trying to double-bluff, or a wolf trying to joke. I'll be watching Lassr's behavior to see if there is any consistency.Lassr wrote:So you know for a fact the wolves are holding up the game?El Guapo wrote:How hard is it to choose a kill on night zero? That's about all I got. Who do you think is a wolf?![]()
Lord Mortis
He is going to beg for death sooner or later and I feel in a generous mood.
Re-reading this post, it goddamn stinks. He throws out a lengthy hypothesis that says nothing. It begins with "Hmm" and ends with "Yeah, I got nothing." This, folks, is non-committal & manipulative. He's trying to look like he's contributing but is in reality saying nothing, not digging.triggercut wrote:Hmm. Possible that Holman was a Grundbegriff "I can't read this guy, so let's get rid of him" first night kill. See: Lite, Lagom.
Equally possible that the wolves want us to think that, so they chose Holman for that reason.
Also possible that Grundbegriff would be smart enough to know that we'd think of this and thus chose Holman, thinking we'd think he'd been framed.
Just as possible that the badguys knew that we'd think Grundbegriff would be smart enough to think he'd been framed....
Yeah, I got nothing.
Now, a proper response to my question would be to question my motives. triggercut instead elects to defend himself. It's also flattery, which is manipulative.triggercut wrote:Nope. I kind of like this line by Qantaga... it's extroverted, aggressive.Qantaga wrote:Lassr wrote: Only wolves read all the rules...
We've caught more that one wolf red-handed who displayed that they absolutely did not read the rules.
This is very constructive by Remus.Remus West wrote:The only thing I take from it is to see how folks react to him. Information which is useless to me currently. I think maybe I'll try and fix that issue.Lagom Lite wrote:I kind of enjoy it!
Newcastle
I'm not fond of the long posts of what ifs that have no chance of being tested but this gives us the same level of nothing regarding his thoughts on others and less regarding him. May as well start there.
Aggression by Remus, which is good. Says little about Qantaga really, but the sentiment seems pure.Remus West wrote:This is twisting that situation. This is in direct conflict with your usual Day 1 philosophy.
Qantaga's reply is equally aggressive, and regards others much more than himself.Qantaga wrote:Remus West wrote:This is twisting that situation. It's not twisting at all, especially given that RMC proved definitively last game that he is not always wrong.
In the past, bb has always expressed "pleasure" in voting for you or Chaos, yet now he (jokingly or otherwise) states that he will not vote for either of you.
I also find it interesting that you are answering for him.
The normal Chaos/bb/Remus (and on the periphery LM/redrun) "It will be funny to see one of them go before me" game condition has seemingly been checked at the door this game.
