I mean, the upshot is that we had essentially decided on Bakhtosh, only we were trying to maximize the information obtained in the process, and realistically this is about as much info as we could hope for out of the final vote, especially since I'd wager Bakhtosh was not going to show up today.
My guess for Bakhtosh is villager or runt.

Sorcerer doesn't care. Lynching him counts against the village. I've been sorcerer in just a few times and it's the exact move I would make, though I would probably not have done it on day one on a foregone conclusion unless I felt not hearing from Bakhtosh was really going to change the game.El Guapo wrote:Might be risky for him as he could wind up drawing a seer scan though, right?Lassr wrote:LordMortis wrote:Sorcerer?Newcastle wrote:finish him!

What he was saying, I think, is that by announcing "I'm going to be the final vote" you ruined any information gained. Of course, Newcastle went and ruined that whole idea though so.....bb2112 wrote:So you are saying you are so sure of me that you don't care if I vote or even when I vote? And what if after I announce that I am going to place the last vote I don't? Or what if someone else jumps in front of me and votes before I get a chance to? Does this not yield something? At least something better than just having trusted LL place the last vote which yields nothing? Unagi, you are better than this.Unagi wrote:You would rather see someone else do it, and yet you are telling the entire world that you will do it later tonight.bb2112 wrote:All I'm saying on the time thing is that waiting until tonight is fine, but waiting for another 24 hours is too long in my opinion. I am also telling you that I am going to place the last vote tonight. If LL wants to do it, whatever. I think there is slightly (probably in reality, not much) more value inseeing who casts that vote than having LL do it. LL is pretty much a trusted so you learn absolutely nothing if he does it. Hell, maybe you learn nothing either way, but I know I would rather see someone else do it, when they do it, what they say when they do it, and see who that someone else is. If you don't care, then that is your option.
The only thing that will do is keep that 'interesting party that may place the last vote' sit back and let you do it.
IMO, that's an odd think to forecast... doublely weird under the banner of 'for the data!'.

Cabal scan Holman. At some point the wolves will kill Lagom or one of the other Cabal. That is when they need to check Bahktosh. Right now it is more important to know what the wolves know.

Well, we learned something by NC jumping on that vote. I am not sure what, but is extremely odd that he pulled his vote only to cap him a couple hours later. Almost like he was suckering someone to put Baktosh to N-1 so he could do it.

a. i wanted to scoop him! So that was the major draw
b. what were the odds Baktosh was going to show up? Seriously?
c. what if he is a wolf and claims X? what do we do then? go back to the drawing board with 3 days left to a deadline?
D. Most of you were resigned to lynching him? Right?
E. My withdrawal was made in the hopes someone would drop him to n-1 so i could swoop in and scoop him.
F. and yeah i prevented him from talking, but again, he's not been around for close to a week. I'd think someoen with a role would at least participate more. And if he does have a role, let this be a lesson. Participate some.
G. Dont hate me because I swooped you guys on the killing blow!

A claim at that point--even if by a wolf--is of some value. Heck, even if he was an important villager role, at this point a claim would do some good versus letting him hang.Newcastle wrote:a. i wanted to scoop him! So that was the major draw

So there's that.
We have had many occasions of going back to the drawing board in less time than we have now.
Absent further information, I think I'm putting a vote in on you tomorrow and leaving it there with the stubbornness of theohall.

Your list conspicuously omits:
H. What if he is a good special?
As to your point C, that is completely nonsensical.
- If he's a wolf and claimed X, we would have solid false data on the record. We had two wolves claim two roles last game and it worked out just fine for us.
- Bakhtosh went from 2 votes to dead in 19 hours snd 4 minutes. Your claim that you don't think 3 days is enough time to make a decision is make believe.

Just a wild ass guess. Bakhtosh dropping off the face of the earth to me doesn't look calculated to me, it suggests more just busy and/or loss of interest. Which suggests not a dominant / special role. Which would mean unpowered villager (if good) or runt (if evil).Remus West wrote:El Guapo wrote:My guess for Bakhtosh is villager or runt.

Chaotic move?
Seer who scanned Baktosh and knew he was a wolf?

He's the medium and plans on proving such tomorrow and wanted to do so with Baktosh?

Re: Lynching Liaisons - Day 1
The day was long and the Villagers were on edge. Old grudges came to the fore as candidates were suggested for the gallows. Obtaining a consensus was difficult as candidate after candidate was considered and rejected. Finally, as the Sun began to dip toward the horizon, a voice rank out -
"Bakhtosh - wake up!" When there was no response, Qantaga dragged him from under the tree toward the gallows. "So help me, wake up or sleep forever." With the heat making everyone irritable, first Chaos, then Newcastle joined in manhandling his dead weight. As they reached the stairs, more and more people joined until Newcastle slipped the noose around Bakhtosh's neck. As the knot tightened, Newcastle shook himself as if waking from a dream - "What are we doing!?! - Let's give him a chance" he said as he removed the thick cord.
Remus dashed up the platform and said "It's fine - we just want to see what he'll say when he wakes up" and slipped the rope back around his neck. Newcastle smiled and said - "why wait?" and kicked the chair out from under Bakhtosh. The rope stretched taught and a distinct "Crack" rang out over the crowd.
Bakhtosh was dead.

Crack. Yes, I think crack was involved.stessier wrote: "Crack" rang out over the crowd.
That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad.
