Well, having now read the rest of the way through to find he was a villager, I have to say it sucks but other than claiming Hunter there wasn't anything he could have said to stay my vote.Unagi wrote:What the hell????
Remus, why on earth didn't you wait for him to talk??
Anyway, I agree with LordMortis regarding who to protect tonight. If I die tonight triggercut can use his seance to get my scan result and since he claimed a role that can be openly verified if he fails to be able to seance me (or the Cabal announce that Newcastle was the Medium) then it is as good as having gotten a wolf with the scan anyway.

I don't concur. The berzerker killing you would mean one less wolf. Are you as the seer going to bring us more than that tomorrow with a scan tonight? A living hunter buys the end game an extra kill. No matter. We'll know about you come morning, one way or another.Remus West wrote:While that would suck it would be less damaging than the Berserker killing me.LordMortis wrote:Or the hunter, I guess.Remus West wrote:Lets pray he is not the Berserker.

Not sure what you are having trouble following, Lassr. LordMortis commented on my vote post where I said I was hoping he was not the Berserker - since I did not want to die without one more scan.

Re: Lynching Liaisons - Night 3
In response to complaints that you should've held off on the kill vote until bb spoke, in case he was the hunter, you said that killing the hunter would be less damaging than the Berserker killing you. Lassr read that (reasonably) as arguing that it was better to kill bb now in order to avoid the Berserker killing you. Lassr was thus pointing out that the Berserker could still kill you even though you cast the early kill vote (i.e. before bb could respond or do something).Remus West wrote:Not sure what you are having trouble following, Lassr. I also hope that the Cabal choose one of the dead, as if they choose one of the living their power would fail. And yeah, don't tell everyone that you are intending to scan Newcastle even though of course you're going to scan Newcastle because scanning bb would be first rate lunacy. But just don't tell anyone.Remus West wrote:

You make no sense. Or I am insane since there is nothing that leads me to think that a reasonable reading. I said it would suck if bb2112 were the Hunter but that it would suck more if he were the Berserker. Where do you go from there to killing him now? Timing of his death had absolutely nothing to do with it.El Guapo wrote:In response to complaints that you should've held off on the kill vote until bb spoke, in case he was the hunter, you said that killing the hunter would be less damaging than the Berserker killing you. (1) People complain that you cast the kill vote although bb could've been the hunter
(2) You post "yeah it would suck if he were the hunter but killing the hunter is less damaging than the Berserker killing me"
Makes it sound a bit like you made the kill accepting the risk of killing the hunter because that risk is less damaging than the risk of the Berserker killing you. I get that's not what you were saying, but that's what pr0ner thought you were saying.

If the Wolves would please eat Chaosraven, as I will leave for a 4day trip tuesday morning, that would avoid any potential Hunter Protect/Wolf Kill conflicting orders resulting in a miss.
That way, if neither bb2112 and Newcastle were the Hunter, we still have a shot and lots of Potential Blockage among our Medium Mentalist, Seer and Cabal for later.
Also, if the Hunter is alive and among our Questionable Alignment lists, he can stay hidden and unkilled.
Right here, Wolvies, niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice juicy Chaosraven, that's right, no eating important people...

Re: Lynching Liaisons - Night 3
Ah. It meant I had not considered that he might be the Hunter so when LM brought it up it occurred to me that "that would suck" but that it would be worse if he were the Berserker because then I'd be dead right now.Lassr wrote:I agree with this but everyone was asking why you didn't let him talk and I saw your response and wonder what the hell it meant compared to that situation.Remus West wrote: I said it would suck if bb2112 were the Hunter but that it would suck more if he were the Berserker.
Although, to be completely candid, LM's later comment makes a tone of sense to me that hitting the berserker would have meant one less wolf I think it a sketchy comment because we don't really need to find the wolves right now. We need to eliminate where they can hide then take a scorched earth policy to the rest of the area. My scan can expand our knowns while whittling down the shadows. The hunter can only whittle down the shadows. I stand by it being better that he was villager than berserker for that reason.

That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad.

I still don't concur. But again none of it will matter tomorrow. You will be exposed as villager/wolf one way or another. Not allowing bb2112 to speak will be what it will be.Remus West wrote:Although, to be completely candid, LM's later comment makes a tone of sense to me that hitting the berserker would have meant one less wolf I think it a sketchy comment because we don't really need to find the wolves right now. Newcastle did it too, and it's just wrong. We wait so that we learn what they say. It's simple. You may have removed the hunter, who was a provable role (never mind the shot itself). I don't think it was a good play at all, even though I was actually pretty sure he was going to come up wolf. You wait.
