I do try to change up my play style now and then. Besides, I decided I was going to amuse myself as the village meanders to a consensus over the course of the next few weeks. Yes, you are all here for my amusement. But at the same time, I have given you data. Voting records and who I think may be team evil. Take it for what it is worth on day 2. If you don't like it, or are too freaked out, then take me out. Otherwise I will keep posting at least one nonsense email a day while I try to figure out who is evil and who isnt, or you guys decide to take me out. The interesting thing is I made myself such a target, I doubt I will get killed at night. Think about that.

So, lets get to discussing some things that I have, to this point been avoiding talking about.

Should we have Lincoln bring Lassr back. We know he died good and he can share whatever he knows (likely to be "Hi, I'm Lassr and I'm a Republican).

Why is nobody talking about the conversion? Why does bb2112 not mention the possibility that conversion makes day <insert any number before conversion here> pointless to analyze when I mention his behavior from a day ago? Why does nobody else?

Actually I was going to ask the same thing about rezzing Lassr but got busy last night. I have mixed feelings about it since we could possibly save the rez for a good special. Or if we don't use it we could lose it. But is pretty early. But if we did use it, that would give us 2 knowns plus a possible third with the scan, assuming no overlap.

I think it probably makes the most sense for the wolves to use the conversion on day 1. There's no protection on day 1 (Moliere said so), as TR doesn't start protecting until night 1 (and from then on, protection carries over into the next day). So, at least as long as TR lives, the wolves are twice as likely to have a conversion fail after day 1 as they are before that, because they risk hitting either TR or his protectee. Plus the longer the wolves wait the more likely they are to hit either TR or his protectee because the pool of people becomes smaller.

Main reason why the wolves would wait, I think, is the hope that they can convert Lincoln or Reagan. Other than dumb luck that probably means waiting for a hint or for the village to inadvertently out either of them. Of course Lincoln's no use to them (other than denying us a rez) until a democrat is lynched. The conversion is also useful for sowing confusion, but that confusion works just as well after the conversion is used (since the village doesn't know if or when it's used), so that's not a good reason to wait.

Basically, if I were a wolf I would vote to use the conversion early (probably day 1). Oh, another good reason to do that is in the off chance that the conversion fails on day 1, the wolves know that they've found TR and can promptly murder him to death. Maybe that's a minor reason to use the rez now (in case that happened), though that's mathematically unlikely.

Anyway, who knows what the wolves are actually thinking, but day 1 conversion seems like the logical thing to do.

I wouldn't say Remus is rushing the village, just raising the discussion.

We should do the math (assuming a successful conversion) and see whether a rez of a vanilla Republican (assuming for the moment that Lassr was not a special) changes our number of misses.

9) tru1cy
10) RMC
11) theohall
12) triggercut
13) J.D.
14) Newcastle
So, 12 people - 10 Republicans, 2 democrats. Assume a successful conversion, that's 9 republicans, 3 democrats.

(1) day 2 miss - 8 GOP, 3 D
(2) Night 2 kill - 7 GOP, 3 D
(3) Day 3 miss - 6 GOP, 3 D
(4) Night 3 kill - 5 GOP, 3 D
(5) Day 4 miss - 4 GOP, 3 D
(6) Night 4 kill - 3 GOP, 3 D - game over.

So right now, assuming a successful conversion and no successful protections, we have 3 more misses (not counting TR's shot, which would just move the schedule up a day if it misses). In this scenario, a rez of a vanilla republican gives us another miss (changes the night 4 results to 4 GOP, 3 D).

If there is one successful protection, then the vanilla rez would not buy us another miss (the protection gets us another miss, and then the rez would just mean losing on night 5 rather than day 5):

(1) day 2 miss - 8 GOP, 3 D
(2) Night 2 kill - 7 GOP, 3 D
(3) Day 3 miss - 6 GOP, 3 D
(4) Night 3 kill - 5 GOP, 3 D
(5) Day 4 miss - 4 GOP, 3 D
(6) Night 4 protection - 4 GOP, 3 D
(7) Day 5 Vanilla Resurrection - 5 GOP, 3 D
(8) Day 5 miss - 4 GOP, 3 D
(9) Night 5 kill - 3 GOP, 3D - game over

Now what if we get one lynch hit, but it's Andrew Jackson who explodes:

(1) day 2 miss - 8 GOP, 3 D
(2) Night 2 kill - 7 GOP, 3 D
(3) Day 3 lynch Jackson - 6 GOP, 2 D
(4) Night 3 kill - 5 GOP, 2 D
(5) Day 4 miss - 4 GOP, 2 D
(6) Night 4 kill - 3 GOP, 2 D
(7) Day 5 miss - 2 GOP, 2 D - game over

Same deal as with a successful protection - lynching Jackson gets us another miss, so the vanilla rez doesn't make a difference in the number of misses (unless we add something else too, like there's also a successful protection).

Can Lincoln accidently rez a democrat if he's still a republican?
It's not an issue right now since they wouldn't have converted Newcastle or Lassr (unless they're insane) but if we wait a few nights it could technically happen ... what if Reagan has been converted, lynched, then rezzed... is he back as a republican or a democrat zombie?

No. As you'll recall when we lynch someone we are told democrat or republican, and the wolves cannot night kill one of their own (at least, that's my understanding). So, we know that Newcastle and Lassr are Republicans. Once there is at least one dead democrat (hopefully) Lincoln could rez them (the rules say "any player"), but obviously a Republican Lincoln wouldn't do that, so if Lincoln rezzes a democrat then Lincoln gets lynched.

I hadn't thought about rezing Lassr. There is a chance he is Reagan and has a scan to report too.

It will also prove that Lassr and Newcastle weren't Lincoln.

I agree with Remus that Lincoln should rez Lassr.

Good thought as long as neither Lassr or Newcastle were Lincoln. And it is certainly better to use it now, since you never know who might get lynched, or killed at night.

There's no way that Newcastle was Lincoln, as he said he was a villager and came back Republican. No reason for him to lie.

Besides, if he was Lincoln and self-voted for his last vote, then we just get the nearest OO'er to drive over to his place and kick him in the nuts.

I think if you are Lincoln you should do it today. I also think if El G, or Q is Lincoln then one of them should do it today as well. IMHO I think you three are the most likely to get killed at night. If I was a baddie, I would be most worried about that group. I would also add our dearly departed Lassr to that mix. No offense to the rest of us, but I don't think we hold the same cache and therefore are not as dangerous. If Lincoln is not one of those three and feels he can fly under the radar, then I would say take another day.

Now that I said that, those three could also choose to play chicken, but I think the risk is still greatest with one of them being killed tonight. :twocents-twocents:

I count EL G and Q in your post, yet you say those THREE?

Are you referring to the orig post made by Remus, or Scoop?

Then that is four, not really three..... Unless you mean the dead Lassr is the third person, but he is already dead...

I am happy with my vote on BB.

1. I asked to be the 15th person, should you get a 14th. When Grund withdrew, i expected to not play. I felt I was doing eveyrone a favor by staying after i realized i was in the game.

2. Over the last couple of months I've become a full time caregiver to my two elderly parents who just underwent pretty big surgeries over the last two months. I do everything here. I'm exhausted, I'm tired. I'm mentally fatigued. I am the last resort. I dont have relatives who can come in here. My time is limited, and playing WW is simply not fun under these circumstances.

3. The Monday night prior to my death, i became accidentally spoiled to the game. I brought that up to Moliere's attention who had that glitch fixed. What's an honest Joe suppose to do when he has information he's not suppose to have (IE the identity to one of the bad guys)?

So fuck you very much.
Newcastle, sorry to hear about your parents. That has to be very hard. And given the fact you were spoiled, offing yourself was a good call. I was scratching my head at the time, but given the circumstances, I get it. I hope your parents get better soon.
That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad.

I never asked why we did not do it. I asked why we were not discussing it. I have not given my thought on the matter one way or the other at this point.

Remus West is the first of the three. I could easily vote for RMC trying to create something.
I think RMC genuinely misunderstood. If he was trying to manufacture a reason, this is a very clumsy way to do it.

Yeah, I thought I was pointing out something that did not make sense to me...But manufacturing something, I guess maybe it could be but more to call attention to it. <shrug>

I still think BB is a good lynch. :)

Sorry to hear about your parents, Newcastle. FWIW, the kick to the nuts was only if you did something that I knew you would never do (vote yourself off as Lincoln).
