Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II - HELP!!

Post by ganar1234 »

Whenever I try to install Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, it says that the program is unsuitable for running in DOS and Windows. I have Win XP and I know that other people have had success and the game works. Does anybody have any ideas??

Copy the files to the HD, set compatibility mode to the SETUP.EXE, and then run the setup again...

From what I've been able to Google, it seems like most folks are getting it to run fine in XP with no special modifications (myself included). But I have found some cases where some people were having problems. Thing is, in all the sites I've visited, no one had a solution.

I'd try Kasey Chang's suggestion, though it'd be nice if he elaborated a bit more so a newbie could better understand exactly what to do... :)

I just think it's strange how some folks can run it right out of the box in XP and some can't. What would be the primary trouble spot to focus on I wonder...?
