What, back into real estate development? Trump doesn't seem to know much about armed conflict, the US's main business (as far as I can tell )

True Internet Art:
Sometimes the Internet truly is the giver of great things. I say that because some AWESOME person calling themselves “Donald Purrump” has set up an Instagram page that has issued a challenge for pet owners to “Trump your Cat.”

Is it bad to use a stock photo of Nazi re-enactors?

It was an ignorant intern working for Trump that did an Internet search for "WWII soldiers" and took the first one that looked interesting without verifying what it was.Max Peck wrote:On topic, I can't figure out why anyone thought it would be a good idea to include Nazi-ish soldiers in that graphic. My guess is that they just grabbed a stock photo of the white house with patriotic images of the flag superimposed over it, and didn't actually pay attention to the details of what they probably assumed were just US soldiers.

The Senator is up for reëlection in 2016, and he pays close attention to how the issue of immigration is playing in his state. He was particularly rankled by Trump’s rally. “This performance with our friend out in Phoenix is very hurtful to me,” McCain said. “Because what he did was he fired up the crazies.”

McCain was my guy in 2000. I was ready to vote for him. Then TurdBlossom (Karl Rove) emerged and destroyed him, and I don't know who he is anymore. Maybe I was deluding myself, but I didn't think that McCain was the absolute "NUKE THEM NOW!" hawk that we see today before the blossoming. He seemed mostly (politically) right-aligned, but not totally in the clutches of the Blossom's bosom.hepcat wrote:It's not even about an immigration plan with Trump. TurdBlossom may have lost this country a generation of Republican voters (in the style of Lyndon Johnson's famous quote). Trump seems determined to do the same thing. Goodbye millenials! BTW Trump, GenX doesn't like your bluster, and we don't believe your BS. Have a nice 5th bankruptcy!

From the shitstorm that started it all, that seem to have some how missed:
http://thedailybanter.com/2015/06/donal ... pist-vote/
This was about Mexican immigrants, not about Mexican illegal immigrants.“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re sending people that have lots of problems. And they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists, and some, I assume, are good people.“

I don't think it was. It appears to me to be about those sneaking across. Which is evident when you read what he said in context.LordMortis wrote:Why do I reply?Rip wrote:I would say it is about stirring up a hatred of illegal immigrant criminals, but meh.

The entire statement was specifically about border security and people sneaking across.

The United States has become a dumping ground for Mexico and, in fact, for many other parts of the world. On the other hand, many fabulous people come in from Mexico and our country is better for it. But these people are here legally, and are severely hurt by those coming in illegally. I am proud to say that I know many hard working Mexicans—many of them are working for and with me…and, just like our country, my organization is better for it.

Your quote is not from his original statement. The only part of the original statement from you link is

So I guess this is context“When Mexico (meaning the Mexican Government) sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you (pointing to the audience). They’re not sending you (pointing again). They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems to us. They’re bringingdrugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people! But I speak to border guards and they tell us what we’re getting. And it only makes common sense. They’re sending us not the right people. It’s coming from more than Mexico. It’s coming from all over South and Latin America, and it’s coming probably from the Middle East. But we don’t know. Because we have no protection and we have no competence, we don’t know what’s happening. And it’s got to stop and it’s got to stop fast.”

He didn't feel it was necessary to distinguish between the two, not to mention that being an illegal immigrant doesn't somehow turn you into a rapist.Rip wrote: I would say it is about stirring up a hatred of illegal immigrant criminals, but meh.

"Immigration" issues as Trump identifies them are about mexicans, not about their legal/illegal status. Their existence in the US makes them illegal. Their entire crime is existing. There's a word we normally use for people who hate other people for the crime of existing. Trump falls in that category.

In a speech ABOUT illegal immigration it shouldn't be required.
It doesn't make you a rapist but when you are a prapist and criminal already bening an immigrant doesn't make you any less so, and you certainly shouldn't be allowed to stay or just keep coming back.
http://www.judicialwatch.org/blog/2015/ ... -deported/Thousands of illegal immigrants convicted of serious crimes—including rape, child molestation and kidnapping—have been released in the United States by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the agency doesn’t bother keeping track of the alien convicts.
The DHS agency responsible for removing dangerous illegal aliens, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), simply releases sex offenders when they complete their criminal sentence and fails to monitor or force them to register with local authorities in the communities where they resettle. The incredulous story of this outrageous system comes via an investigative series published this week in a Boston newspaper that sued the government for the records. It includes a database of criminals that one former federal prosecutor calls “chilling.” The offenders are “dangerous and predatory individuals who should not be prowling the streets,” the prosecutor says in the article. “In fact, they should not be in the United States at all.”

Nice words from Trump. That's the guy who got kicked out of Kew and sent to a military academy for behavior issues. Funny timing, I met with a doctor yesterday who likes to talk politics and he mentioned that he was set to go to the same school (NYMA) but convinced his parents not to make him go at the last minute. He would have been a year ahead of Trump. He said, "Now I wish I would have gone, maybe I could have stopped him from becoming such an idiot." At the very least he could have hazed him.

Re: The Art of the Donald Trump Sideshow
Trump is using fear to make himself appear like a savior to the general public. Unfortunately, statistics prove that he's just plain wrong when he says illegal Mexican immigrants are the source of so much crime. He's a self serving opportunistic ass who latches onto senseless and violent acts by any illegal immigrant and then rides it like a prize horse. Using his moronic idea on how statistics work, we can just as easily assume that all southerners feel the same way Dylan Roof feels about minorities.Rip wrote:

I don't disagree with Trump based on his political beliefs. I disagree with Trump on his very integrity. On his worth to our society. He's on the same level as Kim Kardashian when it comes to what he contributes to our world. Although to be fair, at least Kim isn't trying to get close to nuclear weapons.

Re: The Art of the Donald Trump Sideshow
Trump has triumphed at a particular moment in American race issues. After Ferguson and the rest, after Charleston, and after recent blows to Confederate pride, I think a certain kind of white voter is rallied and thrilled by Trump's loudmouthed willingness to equate brown skinned Others with criminality.
Maybe it's a coincidence. But I won't be surprised if Trump pivots to related racial hot-buttons when this one gets cold. If he starts asking why "white lives don't matter," we'll know for sure the game he's playing.
