The sad thing though is that the bright red athletic cup worn over the pants never became a fashion staple.

So funny to see the difference in style due to the age. The dad's sounds are straight out of the 80's, while the kid's are modern (that drop was never heard back in the 80's and 90's that I know of, but it's definitely a signature sound now)

Awesome.

Is it ironic to get arrested while playing the Star Spangled Banner on the 4th of July?

Happy birthday Tesla!

Happy birthday Tesla!
"Like a wave in the physical world, in the infinite ocean of the medium which pervades all, so in the world of organisms, in life, an impulse started proceeds onward, at times, may be, with the speed of light, at times, again, so slowly that for ages and ages it seems to stay, passing through processes of a complexity inconceivable to men, but in all its forms, in all its stages, its energy ever and ever integrally present.
A single ray of light from a distant star falling upon the eye of a tyrant in bygone times may have altered the course of his life, may have changed the destiny of nations, may have transformed the surface of the globe, so intricate, so inconceivably complex are the processes in Nature. In no way can we get such an overwhelming idea of the grandeur of Nature than when we consider, that in accordance with the law of the conservation of energy, throughout the Infinite, the forces are in a perfect balance, and hence the energy of a single thought may determine the motion of a universe.”

As a lot of you know Adam Savage from Mysthbusters is a huge geek and likes to attend conventions like Comic-Con. But he goes in disguise. He makes some kick ass suits to wear. People love to guess which he is.

This time for 2015 he goes as a Space 2001 astronaut but even cooler he has two suits so he takes along real astronaut Chris Hadfield!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxRoK5LZa_A

Also from the 2015 Comic-Con is a video of the meeting with Bruce Campbell and people from Ash vs The Evil Dead.

I love Japanese bands, especially Babymetal and Endon, so it was a surprise to see a new group (to me, anyway) that actually could play quite well, even though they are quite obviously stereotyping them with the 'maid' outfits. Granted, they are attractive, so there's that. I love Miku.... I admit it. She's the one with the Rickenbacher. Oh em Gee.

Here they are 'breaking new gate' (don't ask)
Today I will gladly share my experience and advice, for there are no sweeter words than "I told you so."

I like them. I am by no means any sort of guitar expert, but aren't all of them playing Rickenbackers?

Nope. Only the girl in the front... the black and white guitar. The bass is a Fender and the guitar is Stratocaster knock off (from what I can tell). Might be a Framus? I'm a drummer, so what do I know.

BTW, the drummer is legit. Solid player.

I'll go with you. Could of sworn the bass was a Rickenbacker.

Edit: Awesome riffs

So I've been watching several web series on YouTube and my go to at the moment is Geek & Sundry Channel run by Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day, but the two series under that I watch weekly is Critical Role a Pathfinder campaign being played by several voice actors and Titansgrave: Ashes of Valkana which is new RPG system and this is being run by Wil Wheaton.

What I enjoy about these shows is the interaction of the various players and the free willing styles of the DMs. Which just reinforces that a DM can make or break a campaign

Yep. Theres a thread on TitansGrave. It does look fun. Would love a PC game in that world. I also love G&S. I have a sub there. I really loved Space Janitors. Its also fun to watch the show that I cant recall the name right now but where Felicia and her brother play video games together..usually against each other.

Been going to a drum circle the past few months. Love the beats that are created. Yesterday, about 7 people showed up. Two serious drummers and a bunch of us tappers sat outside and then the skies opened up. Somehow we could not stop playing. Crazy wild fun!

I will refrain from detailing the 2009 New Hampshire case of gastrointestinal anthrax that was ultimately linked to participation in a drumming circle. It does make for an interesting story though...
