Hiya,
I'm trying to tie some "internet happenings" together. Do you remember the name of the guy who apparently ran off with a bunch of servers (including ours) to start his own business? It was Josh-something. Also, what month/year did all this go down?
Thanks again for keeping the lights on here,
Jonathan

Re: Hey Fishpants
I'd have to scan back through email, I'm in the road at the moment but will look into it for you.

Bottom of the page gives the timeline

September 2013 is when we came back up, so you are looking at July/August of 2013 when it went down.
What I kind find are links to the providers that were posted. Maybe they were posted at Gaming Trend in the OO offline thread between July and September of 2013?
There were some pretty bold exchanges linked on another message board about hosting services either from GT or from OO and I believe Rip and/or FP were involved in those exchanges.

Are you talking about the Volume Drive thing? Here is a post from Rip on GamingTrendwhere he points to this thread that walks through what happened. It ain't short.

You're a better than I'll ever be, even if you do blindly follow the wrong football team.

I've been down since 4pm eastern, no response on ticket... This does not bode well. Viability fail?

Re: Hey Fishpants
Thanks I knew there was a thread on WHT about it but hadn't had a chance to dig for it or see if I had linked before. You just saved me an hour of work.stessier wrote:Are you talking about the Volume Drive thing? Here is a post from Rip on GamingTrendwhere he points to this thread that walks through what happened. Re: Hey Fishpants
Thanks all, I found my answer because of the above. Turns out I was not able to connect the two "Josh's" I had in mind.
Probably for the best.
