I haven't played
Qvadriga in a while but I got a hankering for something simple to pick up and not too long in each session. I don't show much time on it in Steam but I played it for many hours back when I got it through Matrix Games.
Anyway, I started a new campaign as the PurPura, which gives me a chariot that already has a size upgrade, making it more suitable for crashing into opponents

and my auriga (driver) also has a skill upgrade, which among other things, helps him when he crashes into opponents

. On my first race I'm at Sienna, which is a classic Greek hippodrome. there are sixteen teams running, stacked into two rows at the start line.

When it was all over there were only five chariots still running and what I count as twenty dead horse on the track

Chariot racing is not for the faint of heart!
By the way, the game is on sale on
Humble Bundle and if you look at that page, there's a link to a demo about mid-page if you wish to give the game a try.
You can also find the demo on the main
Slitherine Qvadriga page.
