This could be our chance to have the Democrat and the Republican nominee indicted during the election runup.

Sen. Jeff Sessions on Sunday became the first sitting senator to endorse Donald Trump, declaring his support for the Republican front-runner during a rally at a football stadium here.

The endorsement from the Alabama Republican known for his opposition to illegal immigration will solidify Trump's attempts to position himself as the Republican presidential candidate with the toughest stance on the issue.

The endorsement comes two days before the crucial Super Tuesday primary when Alabama and a dozen other states, mostly in the South, vote.

"At this time in American history we need to make America great again," Sessions told the raucous crowd as he donned one of Trump's signature caps emblazoned with that campaign slogan. "I am pleased to endorse Donald Trump for president of the United States."

"A movement is afoot that must not fade away," Sessions added.

So if Trump wins the primary fight and the Republican Elite decided to do a brokered convention to steal the nomination from him will Trump just mount a 3rd party campaign?

Of that I think there's no doubt. He's already setting the stage for one if they don't support him via interviews where he explicitly states that he doesn't think the RNC is being fair to him, and thus he doesn't think he should honor their "gentlemen's agreement" that he wouldn't run as a third party candidate.

The danger is that running a GOP-in-exile candidate would solidify the divisions in the party and give the Trump/Tea-Party/Hard-Right complete control for the forseeable future. The splitters would be a distinct minority, and if they tried to return they would be seen as even less than RINO's.

It would be awesome for liberals, but I don't think the GOP's Establishment is self-destructive enough to do it.

This is what being dragged to the Right looks like. They brought it on themselves.

And in banks across the world
Christians, Moslems, Hindus, Jews
And every other race, creed, colour, tint or hue
Get down on their knees and pray
The raccoon and the groundhog neatly
Make up bags of change
But the monkey in the corner
Well he's slowly drifting out of range

2009 Focus. The bumper is basically one giant fender around the back of the car, so maybe 24 inches tall.

...

I've seen more wordy bumper stickers than this. I haven't been able to read them, but I've seen them.

I think it would be less dangerous than another Republican getting the nomination and Trump running a third party candidate and grabbing a lot of angry Republicans with him.

The best outcome is that Trump gets the nomination and (preferably without a third party candidate) he loses so badly that no one will touch his type of candidacy again. (of course, the worst is that he wins the presidency and every future election becomes a reality-show style contest.

Amid Trump surge, nearly 20,000 Mass. voters quit Democratic party

As an aside, I'd be interested to know how new voter registrations of the two parties are doing compared to 'the last few elections. Well, without looking at every individual states registration statistics.

David Duke flap? It's all CNN's fault:
Donald Trump blamed CNN for providing a "lousy earpiece" in explaining his non-answer to the network on Sunday when asked to disavow the Ku Klux Klan and David Duke.

"I'm sitting in a house in Florida with a very bad earpiece that they gave me, and you could hardly hear what he was saying. But what I heard was various groups, and I don't mind disavowing anybody, and I disavowed David Duke and I disavowed him the day before at a major news conference, which is surprising because he was at the major news conference, CNN was at the major news conference, and they heard me very easily disavow David Duke," the Republican presidential frontrunner explained on NBC's "Today."

"Now, I go, and I sit down again, I have a lousy earpiece that is provided by them, and frankly, he talked about groups," Trump said, referring to the question from CNN's Jake Tapper, who asked him about a call from the Anti-Defamation League to denounce the groups endorsing his presidential run. "He also talked about groups. And I have no problem with disavowing groups, but I'd at least like to know who they are. It would be very unfair to disavow a group, Matt, if the group shouldn't be disavowed. I have to know who the groups are. But I disavowed David Duke."
It's almost as if people are the problem.

"I don't know anything about David Duke"

"I don't know what you're talking about with white supremacy or white supremacists."

"I know nothing about David Duke, I know nothing about white supremacists"

Yeah, clearly his earpiece mangled the name.
