It's a dig at Bernie fans who've been trumpeting how he's won seven of the last eight contests against clinton, and how he'll cruz to victory. Even though he's not catching up in the delegates. Even with his big victory last night, Clinton still netted what she needed to had the race been a horserace (which it isn't, given her sizeable lead in delegates won in earlier contests).

That's more of a dig. It's a taunt and not a wise IMO, a much better taunt would be to tout popular vote totals, not delegate totals.

Delegates bending to Hillary will be remembered during the general and it won't be remembered in a positive light, no matter what the part thinks about how important it is for the party to scratch its own back.

Except that I (and that page) aren't even talking about the superdelegates, only about the pledged delegates, where she has a sizable lead.

Doesn't matter. You mention delegates you bring the democrat superdelate baggage and discontent rises. Whereas Sanders losing the popular vote hits him and supporters right in the kisser.

Although if I wanted to hit with it, I could always point out that the Sanders campaign has, in an about face, talked about shifting their strategy, of trying to woo superdelegates without winning the majority of the pledged delegates.
