It wouldn't do much good for many Starbucks drinks. They measure out shots of espresso and fill the cup with milk. You'd just be getting thinner lattes with more milk and the same amount of coffee (I've never tried their sugary drinks.)

CAN I HAVE JUST A TRIPLE SHOT ESPRESSO BUT IN A VENTI CUP SO I CAN FILL IT UP WITH FREE MILK AT THE CONDIMENT STAND, AND ALSO A SEPARATE CUP OF JUST ICE THAAAAANKS. PUT THE NAME AS "BUELLER" HAHAHAHAHAHA I'M SO CRAZY. ALSO I NEED THREE EXTRA CUPS TO PUT MY DRINK CUP IN SO MY HANDS DON'T FEEL COLD WHEN I HOLD THE CUPS THAAAANKS. OH AND SIX PUMP VANILLA.

So I worked from 8:30am - 5pm and got called back into work at 10pm. How long do I have to work before I can safely take the rest of Tuesday off?

GL. Take the vents until you hit the restroom. Then hide in the garbage until cleaning comes and gets it. Then get out before the disposal crushes you and sneak past personnel. Once you get to the blue doors turn left and out into the parking lot. Sprint to your car and you are out once you speed through the gates.

I'd play it safe and head for the manhole cover once you get out the side door. Your car might be under surveillance. The sewer leads past the fence to a culvert on a dirt road east of the facility.

Prematurely losing all your oomph and having your body give out on you sucks.

This is a party a friend throws for May the Fourth be With You. He has a serious thing for creating a space and letting people complete his vision.

I've seen other short films and photos and they do an amazing job.

It seems to be Christmas Halloween once a month for his crowd and I just can't even conceive of the energy to make a costume much less go out an Wednesday night anymore, much less have these sorts of events on a regular basis and the motivators and designers are all the same age as me.

Maybe my body should have taken a left turn at Albuquerque.

To the woman who decided to pass the car in front of her by using the oncoming traffic lane...while I was merging into the lane in front of said car at the same time, but in a legal manner from the correct lane, I hope you burn in hell.

That's a pretty high pucker-factor moment. Nobody expects something like that when they're just driving along and following the rules. I would only hope the guy in the middle had a dashcam. I keep meaning to get one of those.

It wasn't even a country road. This was a goddamn main street during morning rush hour traffic. :x

I laid on the horn and extended my middle digit as I passed her on the left while pulling into the left turn lane at the light. She stared straight ahead and ignored me. I had to fight the urge to follow her and give her a piece of my mind. But I'm trying to fight my issues with road rage lately. I'd never hurt anyone, don't get me wrong. But I just don't like my behavior when it takes hold of me.

The best part is that she'll do it again tomorrow if she thinks there's an opening.

You'd think going back to sleep at 8:30 this morning would have you waking up before 3pm, but you'd be wrong. I'd thought it was allergies but I think I'm sidelined with a pretty intense cold. Looking forward to getting hammered on NyQuil in a few hours so I can get back to sleep tonight.

I recommend using Delysym instead. It's a little more expensive but it actually works.

Such a fantastic movie. One of my favorite opening scenes as well.

Oh, and thanks for the recommendation for He Never Died. Watched that the other night. I liked it.

I own it on Vudu and every now and again I catch myself starting it and just fast forwarding it to any scene with Jack being annoyed with someone...which is pretty much the entire movie. :D I really hope they do a sequel someday. Although I can understand why if they don't.

I was/am feeling bad but didn't know why. Then I found a tick on me. In retrospect I can see I have the same symptoms I had when I had Rocky Mountain tick fever some years back.
Fortunately the symptoms aren't near as bad. I must have picked up some resistance to it.

So, I was sitting there in the living room gaming earlier when something beeped, three times. Then it stopped. Ok...

A few minutes later the 'finished' beeper on the microwave went off. I went in, but nothing. I figured I had forgotten to cancel it when I'd been timing something earlier (I haven't actually microwaved anything all day.) I sat back down.

I go in later for something else, and the microwave is running, smells, and is hot as hell. What the fudguk?

I stop it, and it immediately sets itself for a timed cook and starts. Beep, beep, beep.

So I unplug it. I wait an hour and plug it back in. It does nothing, but I wait around. Two or three minutes later it sets itself for 11 minutes and 21 seconds and starts.

I think I need a new microwave, which sucks, as I just replaced the air conditioner in the kids room using all I had saved. I won't be able to get a new microwave for at least a few months.

I'm just glad it didn't turn on when I was in bed or away and burn down the house.

I know. The best rated microwaves I've been seeing on Amazon (within a reasonable price range) have reviews full of stories about them failing after one to two years. The one that just died has been keeping me fed for 12 (I had a thread here clear back in 2004 about the drama when I bought it.)

Maybe its just a ghost and a priest will clear the house for free. Then again it might be the ghost of Orville Redenbacher and you can charge for tours.

Had to get a new mw a few years ago. The one we had since like 2005 was barely working and then I took something out and closed the door and it was still about 45 sec to the end of the cycle. I figured it would be ok as I was busy with what I took out. Nope. A big POP and that was that.

The one before that one worked 15 years.

Our Kenmore worked for years and years until the plastic shaft broke and it wouldn't rotate. I squirted some glue down the hole and reattached the shaft and it worked for another year or two before finally breaking irreparably. We gave it away and replaced it with the same model. The controls were slightly updated but otherwise it's identical. Sears is good that way. I'm being careful not to break the shaft on this one, because other than that one design weakness it might live forever.

Maybe its me but it seems things last shorter and shorter times. Dont build them like they used to seems more true. They make stuff with plastic that needs to be metal. Even the guy who installed the water heater said built in failure in everything. Its always been that way but it seems places are more greedy or cheap and stuff breaks faster. At a certain point it becomes a bad mark on a company.

Yeah, our first dishwasher lasted over 20 years before it went to appliance heaven. When I bought its replacement I said "Well we should be good for another 20 years now." The clerk just laughed. They don't make 'em like they used to.
