Re: Steam Trading Cards discussion
Steam is now requiring separate confirmation in the app for every single card I sell. I figured when they announced more holds that using the mobile authenticator would make the extra step unnecessary. I've been using it for months. Oh well, more tedium but I'm still doing it.

Re: Steam Trading Cards discussion
I guess I'm not a high-volume re-seller as I only see confirmation requests maybe every 5 or so? I totally understand why they're doing it, but yeah, you need to work a little harder for those pennies.
Maybe next year, maybe no go

It's pretty rare that I can update this instead of JetFred, but Serious Sam HD First and Second Encounter have been added.

Steam is now requiring me to confirm every card I put up for sale using my iPhone app's authenticator? Fuck that man, I'm out. Thanks, Obama!

Re: Steam Trading Cards discussion
I've been doing the confirmations for every single card. I've sold about 180 or so since that rule.

Re: Steam Trading Cards discussion
Just to add a data point, I'm continuing to get my drops before the 2 hour mark. In fact, all three of the Ethan Carter drops happened before I hit 1.5 hours. I've yet to ever make a return request, if that's still the magic factor. I can also confirm that 100% of my card sales now require use of the authenticator app and the amount of time it takes my cards to sell (even when priced aggressively) has noticeably slowed.
Maybe next year, maybe no go

Re: Steam Trading Cards discussion
I wouldn't say my cards are selling slower, but I do think the prices have increased a cent or two across the board as selling is now more aggravating. I think the wait-two-hours-or-not may be developer set. I could be wrong. Mine vary - some past 2 hours, some before.

Yep, now me too. Holds for 15 days before a sell also. Screw that, and I don't have an apple or android phone for their authentication app, I am one of the few with a Windows phone.Carpet_pissr wrote:Steam is now requiring me to confirm every card I put up for sale using my iPhone app's authenticator? The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Re: Steam Trading Cards discussion
I'm annoyed, but still in, and now that a drop in supply has pushed card prices up a few cents, I've broken $800 as my total net gain from cards.Lassr wrote:Yep, now me too. One of these days I'm going to switch to commenting only when it's games people care about. But not yet.

Re: Steam Trading Cards discussion
Its at the point where you're naming games I've never even heard of.
Don't worry, the Summer sale is around the corner and all the unwashed masses will be back trying to trade...and then complaining they can't for 15 days.

Re: Steam Trading Cards discussion
Good choices. I only have two of those. At the moment.
Drunken Robot Pornography is actually worth a go if you like mad arcade-style FPS. It's essentially all boss battles.
