Got me a special request
I wonder if the admins can help me out.
When I joined OO in 2004, I used my real name as my username. I had some idea that it would make me more honest and more willing to stand by my statements in a world where online anonymity was crippling such virtues, or some such bullshit.
Around about 2010, I had my username changed to a handle I was more comfortable with. (Sue me; I was applying for jobs.) However, something odd happened, and although my entire old posting history was preserved, the new handle reset my "joined" date to 2010. I was willing to live with it, but one of the admins mentioned that it could probably be fixed. I never followed up.
Now I find myself wishing I could set my join date to reflect my true history. My first post was October 25, 2004, so I assume that's when I first activated my account.
Is there a way for the Overlords to revise my Joined date accordingly? I'd be very grateful.

Off the top of my head I don't know how complicated it is to fix.
Will look into it this weekend though.

I think it's just a field in the database. I'll take a look in the next few days.
Date change fee of $500 (or equivalent in beer) will apply.

Can you backdate my account so it will look like I am one of the original cool kids that started here. Thanks.

This prompted me to check my join date. I've been lurking for over 10 years...
Please change my join year to 1901 so that I can submit it as proof of time travel.

Hey, wow! There I am!
I'm happy now. I hope it wasn't too much trouble.
