Nothing at all tacky about gloating over a mass shooting.

No more tacky than saying doom and gloom doesn't match reality as terrorist attacks are happening almost daily.

Last I checked, Obama isn't in charge of Munich.

You could label every day "doom and gloom" if your canvas is the entire world.
From a US perspective, I certainly don't feel like my life is any worse than it was eight years ago. In fact it's actually better.
That said, I think the Munich thing certainly helps Trump.

Assuming a guy who just shouts, "I CAN STOP IT!", without adding so much as one whiff of a stated plan, can do jack shit is even less realistic.
Also, as pointed out, I wasn't aware Munich had been moved to the United States. Time to get my Oktoberfest on!

I was loving Obama's timing not that of the shooting. Those things happen every other day.

I don't find (alleged) government failures as a reason to celebrate when there's loss of life involved. Doesn't matter which party is in charge, IMO.

Are you serious? Or simply trolling again?
The convention ended last night. Presumably CNN asked President Obama for an opinion. Are you suggesting that he should have refused to answer the question? How would that then have been painted negatively? Or perhaps you should really be holding CNN accountable. How dare they ask the president for an opinion on Drumpf's speech when there was a shooting in Munich?
You say a lot of stupid things in an effort to troll, Rip, but you've out done yourself.
Both of these things are "news". And they both happened within the last 24 hours. To suggest that Obama had anything to do with CNN's decision on layout of their webpage...

Who said anything about government failures? The only failure is Obama's failure to recognize the threat even when he can't get all the way through a press conference without another terror attack happening. Not like I am the only one pointing out how it plays.

Grinning Obama JOKES during statement on Munich carnage as he shifts gears to say he'll miss daughter Malia when she leaves the nest for college
-President Obama briefed law enforcement Friday afternoon on the unfolding mass-murder in Munich, Germany
-He noted how terrorism undermines people's freedoms and lifestyles in the absence of good law enforcement
-Then Obama wisecracked about daughter Malia leaving the nest for college, drawing laughter from the entire room
-Unfazed, he shifted gears back to the somber subject matter
-Obama had held a joint press conference with Mexico's president, one hour before the Munich carnage began, criticizing Donald Trump for exaggerating terrorism threats

I can't figure out why anyone still engaged with this stupidity.
And in banks across the world
Christians, Moslems, Hindus, Jews
And every other race, creed, colour, tint or hue
Get down on their knees and pray
The raccoon and the groundhog neatly
Make up bags of change
But the monkey in the corner
Well he's slowly drifting out of range

Shouldn't they have worked through those stages of grief about six weeks ago?
I think unity will prevail this week, but the difficulty of it is on Sanders for promising to "take the fight to the convention" for too long after it was impossible.
