Apparently it stings. Now Trump is saying that he had nothing to do with planning the RNC convention.
Asked about the differences, Mr. Trump said he could not speak to them with much specificity, because “I didn’t produce our show — I just showed up for the final speech on Thursday.”
Does anyone believe this? Especially when more than half of the speakers were clearly chosen for their personal connections to Trump? And when doing TV to boost his brand has been Trump's core business for more than a decade?

Because he is fundamentally incapable of allowing anything to reflect negatively on him. And, he perceives nearly everything to be about him. Oh, and because someone asked him about it. But since everything is about him, he couldn't just say "apples and oranges - completely irrelevant".

Meanwhile, in the Are You Fucking Kidding Me? department.......
the Indiana governor criticized President Barack Obama for calling Donald Trump a “homegrown demagogue” during his speech at the Democratic National Convention.

“I don’t think name calling has any place in public life, and I thought that was unfortunate that the president of the United States would use a term like that,” Pence said.

Mike's statement needs to be repeated, and this question demands to be asked in the Presidential debate:

Do you agree with Mike Pence that the President should avoid personal attacks? And will you promise to the American people that, if elected President, you will not participate in name calling?

You know Trump will immediately attack Hillary by calling her names when given that question. And he'll never notice. Brilliant.

Since Trump will now start getting security briefings, I'm waiting for him to blurt out classified information in one of his speeches (or tweets, for that matter).

Captain Caveman wrote:From YK's link:
"I was going to hit one guy in particular, a very little guy," Trump said to laughs at a campaign rally in Davenport, Iowa. "I was going to hit this guy so hard his head would spin, he wouldn't know what the hell happened."
Trump said this individual "came out of nowhere" and had done work with Trump in the past.
It's so difficult to figure out who he's talking about... :?
The most Trumpian part of this is in the extended quote.
You know what, I wanted to. I wanted to hit a couple of those speakers so hard. I would have hit them. No, no. I was gonna hit them, I was all set and then I got a call from a highly respected governor. “How’s it going, Donald?” I said “It’s goin’ good, but they’re saying bad things about me! I’m gonna hit them so hard!” I was going to hit one guy in particular, a very little guy. I was going to hit this guy so hard his head would spin. He wouldn’t know what the hell happened.
This is so weird. He goes from saying "I wanted to hit them" to implying that he was actually about to do it--he was "all set," like he was going to hop in his TrumpPlane and head straight to Philadelphia. But then an anonymous but "highly respected governor" (not one of your shitty governors, no, just the best, really the best) gave him a chance to vent, and he was OK. Thank goodness the highly respected governor had wanted so badly to find out how it was going with Donald, or who knows what might have happened??

"Success Distilled."
Last I saw, the company that makes it was a OTC pink worth 0.0001 a share with a trail of conned retail investors in its wake. But Trump got his money. "Success Distilled" indeed.

Well it does seem if Hillary is supposed to mop the floor with Trump in a debate that you would want them to be when the most people would watch. During an NFL game is not that time.

Why would Democrats schedule them in such shitty time slots?

Good points.

And I think Trump is wise to raise the expectation that he's a kick-ass debater and that Clinton won't be able to handle his command of the material. It's sure to demoralize her.

It doesn't matter when they're scheduled, Trump will cry like the little coward he really is until he finds a way to get out of it ("I'm glad you moved it away from the NFL schedule, but NOW you're scheduling it on the same night as Two Broke Girls. VERY MEAN!".). He pulled the same crap during the primaries. If by some miracle he realizes that people are starting to see through him and he does man up and attend a debate, I hope he remembers to wear his brown pants.

I think that they should hold the debates anyway. Imagine how crazy it would drive him to be unable to rebut comments made about him.

They could even put his podium on the stage and direct questions to him/it. Then wait for a period of silence before going back to Hillary. Come to think of it, the response would have about the same level of substance either way.

Oh, and since when are the games at the beginning of the season "major"? Sure, for those that are fans of either of the teams playing, the game may be "important". But "major"? We aren't talking playoff games yet. And for those that are going to try and declare that all games are "major", my response is that if all the games have the same importance, then none of them are "major". He clearly is using it to suggest that those games are more important than other ones.

Oh, Trump will respond. He has zero problem with telling people lies right to their face. Hillary lies too, don't get me wrong. But Drumpf takes it to absurd levels.

Hillary: Donald, isn't it true your clothing line is made in China?

Donald: Hillary, you're confused! China is outside Texas. I don't know what the hell you're talking about! China is an American territory near Houston!
