BBC: Life-size naked statues of Donald Trump suddenly sprang up on Thursday in the US cities of New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco and Cleveland, quickly drawing attention of crowds.
BBC: "NYC Parks stands firmly against any unpermitted erection in city parks, no matter how small,'' quipped parks spokesman Sam Biederman.

His fingers are disproportionately stubby compared to the rest of his hand. I think the artist captured that fairly accurately.Grifman wrote:His hands are too big.

Interesting investigation into the state of Trump's businesses
But an investigation by The New York Times into the financial maze of Mr. Trump’s real estate holdings in the United States reveals that companies he owns have at least $650 million in debt — twice the amount than can be gleaned from public filings he has made as part of his bid for the White House. The Times’s inquiry also found that Mr. Trump’s fortunes depend deeply on a wide array of financial backers, including one he has cited in attacks during his campaign.

Re: The Art of the Donald Trumpocalypse
If Trump is a divisive demagogue, the media coverage of Trump is going to show him as a divisive demagogue. Is the media supposed to hide it in the interest of being fair?
From my days as a more staunchly conservative gentleman, I used to routinely believe that the "liberal" media was in the tank. And while they personally might be in the tank, the problem wasn't the "liberal" media or journalists. The problem was conservative media, who was willing to outright lie about political opponents because it served their agenda.
What has the NYT reported that is factually incorrect about Trump? I didn't see any examples from the whiny bitch at the NY Post.

You know Murdoch owns the Post, right?
When I was growing up, The Post was considered a solid, middle-brow newspaper, landing right between the high (NYT) and the low (NY Daily News). Murdoch bought it in '76, and modeled it on his "news"papers in Great Britain and Australia.
Today the only difference between the Post and Fox News is that it's tougher to use Fox News for the bottom of a birdcage.

Re: The Art of the Donald Trumpocalypse
I really need to stop clicking on breitbart articles so google will stop showing them to me.
In any case, according to breitbart, a california poll shows trump up by 2 points. Whoopee.
I decide to read the comments because they are always interesting, if insane, and this time was no different. Aside from the usual conspiracy theories, there was talk about how delusional democrats are and or the media is. This was said in the same breath as the fact that Trump was going to win by 20 points or more, and that the 2 pt lead was bullshit by some corrupt pollsters.
None of that was much of a surprise. Well, 2 pts is really 20 pts and somehow the world is holding Drumpf back was a bit more crazy than I expected.
So I look at Breitbart comments. Then I look at OO comments. And I'm like, the idea that OO is a Liberal nest of far left wingers is so unbelievably far fetched that it kind of pisses me off when some people suggest it is. Some people here are confident that Hillary will win. Others hope she will. Some are worried she won't. No one is suggesting that Hillary is going to win by 20 points and that the polls are lying when they don't coincide with their thoughts on the matter.
The world is full of crazy, but OO isn't. A big finger to those that might think otherwise.

I'm glad to see you admit that the whole "Oh my god, the IRS is targeting us" scare was invented by the GOP to try and win sympathy for themselves after the nation got sick of their crap in Washington.
Hopefully he does now.tgb wrote:You know Murdoch owns the Post, right?

No in reality Trump wins. If Clinton wins in your reality then I don't exist anymore as I was replaced with a synth from The Clinton Institute.Max Peck wrote:So if you're unhappy on 9 November, you have only yourself to blame? Sounds legit.Rip wrote:Reality is exactly what I decide it is.

(Although I'd have awarded double bonus points if you had invoked a reality where Kasich wins, instead of collapsing the choice to a Trump-Clinton dystopia.)

Re: The Art of the Donald Trumpocalypse
Remember when the morning show, Morning Joe was accused of playing favorites with Trump?
Not anymore.
You know what I want in a president? Someone who'll turn on his friends in a heartbeat if they dare criticize him. That kind of short temper and childish reaction is what our country has been missing all these years. We've been electing adults this whole time. What the hell were we thinking?
Not anymore.

Re: The Art of the Donald Trumpocalypse
He has built his entire career, nay his entire life, around attacking and bullying anyone who doesn't agree with him, no matter what the topic. He simply cannot mentally cope with anyone questioning his decisions, or his perceived success at whatever he does. A stable individual would have the ability to accept at least a modicum of criticism without going ballistic. But Trump has all the emotional maturity of a spoiled child who's been told his entire life that he's super brilliant, super handsome and super cool. The moment someone tells him he doesn't deserve the first place ribbon simply for showing up, he melts down.
A Trump presidency would be a complete disaster...however, it would make for a freakin' hilarious 4 years (although I suspect he wouldn't make it past year 1).

A number of political reporters pointed out that Trump's attacks came one day after new campaign manager Kellyanne Conway said that Trump does not hurl "personal insults."

Clean Technica
William D. Ruckelshaus, head of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under Presidents Nixon and Reagan, and William K. Reilly, EPA Chief under George H. W. Bush, signed the joint statement released last week on Clinton’s campaign website. In it, the two GOP EPA directors state that “Donald Trump has shown a profound ignorance of science and of the public health issues embodied in our environmental laws.”
Ruckelshaus and Reilly warn that Trump is threatening to destroy Republicans’ positive contributions to environmental protection.
“He hasn’t a clue about Republicans’ historic contributions to science-driven environmental policy,” the directors criticize. GOP contributions cited in the statement include “the incontestable environmental improvements in the restored lakes and rivers, the acid rain controls, the reduction of key air pollutants by 70, 80 and 90 per cent, and the sharp decline in pollution from automobiles even as their numbers more than doubled.”
It's almost as if people are the problem.

Donald Trump Jacked Up His Campaign’s Trump Tower Rent Once Somebody Else Was Paying It
Trump nearly quintupled the monthly rent his presidential campaign pays for its headquarters at Trump Tower to $169,758 in July, when he was raising funds from donors, compared with March, when he was self-funding his campaign, according to a Huffington Post review of Federal Election Commission filings. The rent jumped even though he was paying fewer staff in July than he did in March.
