Yet another source said that Matlin, who came in second place on the show, was a Trump target all season.
“In the boardroom, he would talk to her like she was ‘special,’” the source said. “He took her deafness as some kind of [mental] handicap … He would kind of do these mock voices … I think he would take the low road and mock her disability.”
Once, when Trump made an “insensitive” comment about Matlin’s deafness while filming, she “stood up for herself,” the source added. The exchange didn’t air in the final cut of the episode.

It would be interesting to see what deductions were allowed - say for a home owning family of 4. I know under today's system, that family earning the median $52000 only pays about $500 in Federal taxes. Re: The Art of the Donald Trumpocalypse
Trump's defense against the spate of sexual abuse allegations is... blame it on the Mexicans?
Republican vice presidential candidate Mike Pence vigorously defended running mate Donald Trump against allegations of sexual misconduct and promised that evidence casting doubt on the claims would come out on Friday.
Trump's White House campaign has been scrambling to recover from the release a week ago of a 2005 video in which he bragged about groping women and making unwanted sexual advances. While Trump said the video was just talk and he had never behaved in this way, multiple women subsequently went public with allegations of sexual misconduct against the New York real estate magnate going back three decades.
Trump furiously denied the allegations on Thursday, saying that The New York Times, which published two women's claims, and other media, along with his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, were engaged in a vicious campaign to stop him from winning the Nov. 8 election.
"Stay tuned. I know there's more information that's going to be coming out that will back his claim that this is all categorically false," Pence told CBS show "This Morning."
The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that Trump would accuse Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim - the top shareholder in the New York Times Company - of helping to generate reports of the sexual misconduct.
Trump will claim that Slim, as a donor to the Clinton Foundation charity who also holds a 17.35 percent stake in the New York Times, has an interest in helping her White House campaign, the newspaper cited the adviser as saying.
His allegations would feed into Trump's claims of a rigged election system and "false smears" that he says are part of a conspiracy bent on defeating him.

Re: The Art of the Donald Trumpocalypse
CNN
Deploying a sharp line against Trump's claims to be for the working class, Obama wondered why anyone would believe the nominee's claims.
"If a guy's spent 70 years on this earth showing no regard for working people, there's no record that he's supported (the) minimum wage or supported collective bargaining, invested in poor communities, and then suddenly he's going to be the champion of working people? Come on," Obama said.
...
Drawing Obama's scorn Friday, Trump's insistence a "global elite" is working to rig the election.
"This is a guy who spent all his time hanging around trying to convince everybody he was a global elite," Obama said. "Talking about how great his buildings are, how luxurious and how rich he is and flying around everywhere. All he had time for was celebrities and now suddenly he's acting like he's a populist out there. I'm going to fight for working people."
"Come on, man," Obama repeated.
...
It was the latest in a pattern of remarks from Trump casting doubts about the validity of the upcoming vote, claims Obama said have no place in US Democracy.
"This is somebody who threatens to jail his political opponents. Or silence the media, who welcomes Russian meddling in our electoral process, and is now suggesting that if the election doesn't go his way, it's not because all the stuff he's said, but it's because it's rigged and it's a fraud," Obama said.
And for the second day in a row, Obama hit back at Republicans who are now disavowing Trump, saying it's too little, too late. He spent Thursday night railing on lawmakers like Ohio's Sen. Rob Portman, who withdrew his support for Trump after his sexually aggressive remarks from 2005 were released on tape.
"I know that some of them now are walking away but why did it take you this long? You said you're the party of family values. What, you weren't appalled earlier when he was saying degrading things about women?" Obama said. "I'm glad that some of them now said 'wow, this is really bad, I guess we need to walk away,' but if you're doing it just for political expedience just because you're looking at poll numbers and you say 'Oh, this might get me in trouble,' that's not enough."
It's almost as if people are the problem.

I do not want to demean any of this. It deserves attention but I don't know we can disassociate ourselves with HRCs response to all of the allegations against Bill.Enough wrote:Listening live to the second new accuser today, this one is going to sting. Gloria Allred doesn't mess a around.
I remember Rosanne summarized it best back in the 90s. "Either women matter or they don't" with regard to to HRC and Paula Jones accusations and settlement.
Thinking of this, I did some googling. News is funny.
From today:
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/roseanne-ba ... y-clinton/
C B fucking S. Our news really does appear to care about facts at all.Barr, a Trump supporter, joked that perhaps Hillary Clinton was responsible for her injury. She tweeted, “Fell broke kneecap! Did Hillary drone me? Lol.”
Rosanne in July said:
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2 ... rabia.html
“I don’t endorse anyone but myself,” she said in no uncertain terms as we met to chat last weekend in a Marina del Rey restaurant near her El Segundo studio, hours before she was scheduled to appear at her first Politicon convention. “I’m writing myself in. But because I didn’t say Trump is a racist and ‘President Hillary, there’s no other choice, Hillary, Hillary, Hillary, Hillary…’”

linkDonald Trump on Friday seemed to appraise Hillary Clinton's physical appearance at a rally, telling supporters that when he saw her walk in front of him during Sunday’s presidential debate he “wasn’t impressed.”
“I’m standing at my podium and she walks in front of me, right,” Trump said during a rally in Greensboro, North Carolina. “She walks in front of me, you know. And when she walked in front of me, believe me, I wasn’t impressed.”

Worth noting: the white working class includes men and women, and the women are leaving Trump.
[...] Trump’s iron grip on the support of blue-collar white Americans has been one of the most striking threads of his unprecedented campaign.
But over the past several months, that seemingly rock-solid core has started to fracture—and the fracture has widened dramatically this week for one key reason: Most of the white working class is actually female. And working-class white women now appear to be jumping off the Trump train.
The first polls to emerge since the release of the "Access Hollwood" videotape now show a historic gender gap splitting what might be the GOP’s most important constituency. The fracture was already apparent back in August, when a four-way poll showed Trump’s lead over Clinton among white men without a college degree was 40 percent, but only 12 percent among women without a college degree. This week, after the 2005 videotape was released, that number stayed roughly the same for blue-collar men—Trump is still up in that group by 43 percentage points—but it tanked for women, to a low that hasn’t been seen since the 1960s, with the exception of Bill Clinton in 1996. According to the first post-videotape poll, among white women without a college degree, Hillary Clinton had pulled even.
It might be easy to write off blue-collar women as a special interest group, like the 18-25 demographic of some slice of suburbia. But the situation is almost exactly the opposite: If you look at the white working class—Americans without a college degree—the majority, 53 percent, are women. Right now, the numbers suggest that within that group, women’s interests appear to be diverging so quickly from their male counterparts they could stop whatever momentum Trump has left.

He is like the dumbest man alive at this point. No one but your freakin' base gives a rat's ass what your personal impression of the woman is. Unless you're evaluating her to determine if you're going to vote for her who gives a crap?
He has no plan or even interest in going after the votes that might help him win the election. His base isn't going anywhere even if he shat on an american flag and ate it after. He needs swing voters.
But when he gets in front of a crowd it's like he doesn't care about the election, his need to bask in adulation becomes all encompassing.
Great, Donald. You're eliciting cheers from your base. I hope the rest of the country eats your lunch.

We're staying home. Our early ballots arrived in the mail today. If I'm the first OOer to vote against Drumpf, do I win a prize?According to the source, who requested anonymity to discuss high-level strategy candidly, the attacks on the Clintons are also aimed at the “suppression of votes” from millennial women, African-Americans and the “idealistic Bernie Sanders supporter.”
“Principally, we’re trying to drive them to a third party or just have them not vote,” the source said.
Polls have shown minorities and women all favor Clinton. However, Clinton has struggled with millennials. Many younger voters backed Clinton’s progressive primary opponent, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders. The source said that the campaign believes that a one-two combination of Trump’s “populist message” and anti-Clinton attacks can get liberals, minorities and millennials to stay home.
Spoiler:
I spent 90% of the money I made on women, booze, and drugs. The other 10% I just pissed away.

Re: The Art of the Donald Trumpocalypse
"Why aren't any women coming out and accusing Obama?" is actually a thing Trump said today.
No words.
EDIT: I lied, there are words. It's apparently impossible for Drumpf to fathom that a man with money, influence, and power hasn't sexually harassed a woman before. Like, he can't even manage to wrap his brain around that concept.

Re: The Art of the Donald Trumpocalypse
Of course, the scariest part is that this crowd isn't going anywhere after the election season is over. When Barack Obama was elected (and some of his subsequent policies to aid with recession recovery) all fed into the creaton of Tea Party movement within the Republican party. That was the start of the schism that caused the GOP establishment to lose control of the direction of their party, which has now culminated in the Trump candidacy - where a certain demographic of Republican party (blue-collar, mostly white, mostly low-educated, with xenophobic and nationalist ideations) feels right at home. He gave them a voice, and they are not going to shut up any time soon. There is some equivalent of this in many European countries, where their right-wing parties use rhetoric that's as crazy as the craziest thing Trump says. The difference is that over there, those parties are nowhere near power (they may have a few seats in their respective parliament or whatever the gov't structure is). Here in the U.S. they are inevitably half the power structure.malchior wrote:Apparently #MAGA involves jeering at the press and swastikas on the media table at events.
P.S. Also, just saw this article - I'm not really familiar with the particular website or the journalist they are quoting but it seems to make a lot of sense:
What could happen if Donald Trump loses
